Just take the leap save your money buy a sailboat live aboard it while making it the right vessel for your journey and one day you’ll be able to do it. It took James 4 years to get his boat and journey underway. Just keep your head up brother. I’m buying a sailboat now and gonna do it and if I can anyone can. I’m 22 working at McDonald and done with society and it’s sickness need to journey beyond Washington state. And see the beautiful world we live on

James. You can run your engine at 3000 rpm. Thats not "pushing it".
The 2gm20f max out at like 3800-4000. Its actually good for the engine to run at high RPM because the carbon deposits are blown out and the engine cleans itself. Running constantly at 2500 or bellow will make your injectors, valves, pistons and cylinders caked up with black goo, reducing the lifespan and wearing tour parts prematurely. I run mine at 3k all day long sometimes. Put the little tractor to work!

I'm not a sailor and not comparing myself to you, but I've trekked solo in remote parts of the world so know a little but about what it is like when everything is down to you and no one to save you if you mess up.

As I'm sure you've found out by now, the next bay up the coast, across from the coral gardens, is a much nicer (calmer) place to anchor. My wife and I spent 3 days there in Jan 2021. We went right at the start of Covid and had pretty much everywhere the least bit remote totally to ourselves.

In 1990 we were heading for Bora Bora for our honeymoon. Unfortunately, flight connections from Norway became difficult in terms of time, so we traveled to Mauritius in the Indian Ocean instead. This is also a fantastic place with coral reefs and all, but very crowded in relation to the islands you visit and thus a completely different experience (Mauritius has 1.2 million inhabitants). We visited the Seychelles a few years later and it was a much more interesting experience and can be highly recommended if you come to this area outside of Madagascar, Tanzania and Kenya.

You don't seem to do very much except talk and complain a lot about everything, weather, anchorages etc. . You don't scuba dive, spear fish, you dont hike or do anything interesting, you snorkle very little. You don't talk to many people or talk about any history of where you are of the things to do.
