“Why spend the extra 100 dollars on this one? The company is more popular”
And the craftsmanship and materials are far much better. Not to mention the warranty and customer service. Worth it to me.
@@Matthew_Patterson56they wouldn’t get it. they’re just sheep my guy. 🐑
you completely missed the point. he claimed it was USA made, meaning they gave a damn when they decided the materials used and the quality in itself. get your head out of your ass dude.
Made and sourced in the usa thats worh it for me i have 1
Microtech gor mad at axial for no reason. They threatened lawsuits for "copying the mechanism". Axial are solid against the microtech.
I love OTFs but they’re just so big and heavy. id rather just have a manual pocket knife
Boker OTS knives are good, I have the mini strike and it’s awesome. 50$ and it’s the same weight as manuals
If I’m spending in the $200+ range it’s gonna be custom made. I personally carry a German-Belgian locking folding knife called a Lierenaar from Solingen.
I seen that last one for 900.00 on their website, in fact I've never seen it for over 1100.00
the carbon fiber top is more. With just the damascus blade it's around 9
I would never even spend nine hundred on that I'm purely practical I collect knives because I intend to carry them all at one point if I'm carrying a $900 knife it's the most expensive thing I'm carrying if I'm getting mugged and I need to defend myself my mugger is just going to shoot me and take my shiny overpriced automatic letter opener
Thank you finally somebody that talks about knives that when you pick it up you give him the model number and you give him a price not all this other bullshit that goes along with it you get the model and the price thank you very much I do appreciate it
my friend bought that 35 dollar lightning otf after i showed him one of your videos and he says its a pretty solid knife for 35 dollars even after beating on it for a while
I just ordered another Lightning OTF. The one I had broke after 3 years of abusing the crap out of it. My whole crew was using it and tossing it to each other at jobsites. 😆 I was honestly surprised that it held up for so long.
I might stick to the 35$ knife I love that knife ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Personally I carry a Microtech combat Troodon but honestly there's nothing wrong with the Taiwan lightning OTF either. As long as you keep it lubed up and you put some grease on the spring it's perfect
@@honestdave hm I actually carry a multifunctional knife tool kinda thing pritty cheap cost
@@honestdavewhat’s best way to oil OTFs? Take them apart?
That little red one is awesome
Where do you buy the first knife
That Damascus looking fine
Love these vids
Solid action ☠️
I have a cobratec knife OTF I like it pretty good it’s was like 119.00 when I bought it I use it an carry it a lot never let me down yet
I have almost the exact same orange one but mine has a different handle and blade shape and is blue
Axial is also usa and very well made
Putting, holes, into the blade, which is otherwise just a regular blade, which takes material OUT of the blade, makes it more expensive
Yeah that checks out
well when you have a blade steel that’s a lot stronger you don’t really need that extra material that would just add weight. at least that’s what I would think
But it also reduces weight which is a problem with otfs
Yeah, because more time has to go into blade production in order to custom make that blade?
My only problem with the OTF (I own 3 Boker, Microtech, and something I got in Oregon) is they are technically combat knives but they don’t work if you get them dirty and wet.
Theyre fidget toys. Only fixed blades should be used for self defense and even then, knives are probably the worse defense weapon, since its ao easy to be used against you. I dont even gotta grab it, just knock your hand into yourself
What about Benchmade switches blade infidel? How what that ranks up against others? Thinking about pick one up
link to the cheapest one? i cant find a good one
I’ll choose the $200
Where can I find the 350$ one?
I saw that small one for $85 at bryce canyon national park general store and they bad multiple colors and they had like 10 of them or something and it were exactly those you showed here
When i saw them i was in love like they are so tiny but so well made
I feel like why would you buy a knife too small to sue in the wilderness
Huh ? Are you the type of guy saying "why would you pay 500€ for a Ps5 it's clearly not good at washing dishes"
@@Oleksey1769 that has nothing to do with knives what are you talking about?
@@potatoboss56 because these knives clearly aren't made for going in the wilderness
You said boker micro OTF knife but it has a Cobratec blade. Did they do a collab or was it swapped cause it does look like a Cobratec OTF
Nice knifes
Appreciate your videos I watch them all the time sure wish I can get one of the give away knives that be awesome
Hey guys listen to him he gives out really good advice for home defence, if you use the 1300 dollar one against an armed robber you get a place to stay but the tubes and wires are really uncomfortable so I might take them off later haha
Another American that should be educated on guns🤡🤡
I want a switchblade so much but I live in Canada so my knife collection is very limited and I have a couple of basically the same knife and a few gas station knives
I am looking for a flashlight that is cheap but still good
G&G is the only way!
What the name of the little oranje one i wanna get one looks nice?
Boker usb
I have Ben collecting knifes sense I was 4 but I don’t have the money to buy $200 or more
Did he put a sponsee ad in the short
the 35 dollar one seems like a fair deal if you just want one for the he'll of it...I'm not into knives but the otf does seem really cool so the 35 dollar one would be perfect since I'm not serious about knives
35$ otf knives are not really good
@@hauptfachhauptfach6202 I honestly would get one just to mess with. I'm not serious about knives it's not my hobby or anything just seemed cool
I just ordered another 35 dollar Lightning OTF. It took years for it to break after being used and abused daily.
for 35 bucks that first knife looks like it'll do damage lol
yeah it definitely will so will a 3 pound rock. the real drawbacks are probably in the material not gonna hold an edge for as long and The cast aluminum handles won’t be as durable but I have one of them and it’s not too bad if you just want a cool OTF to mess around with
What about the wish microtech knock off they are actually pretty good and only $50
I have a few friends that work at microtech
Try a kbar
I own a heretic manticore x and I think it is the most under rated otf on the market. You should do a review I’d love to hear what you would think. Also I have an awesome story about my knife and the heretic company and let’s just say mines better than anyone’s out there. Much much love for those guys! Hit me up and I’ll mail you my knife so you can compare it with a factory manticore. 🤙🏽
I try the "give aways" all the time but a person has to sign up with a hefty subscription
The blades get smaller as the price go up reason "shape of the blade"
Knife one sounds a bit cheep
Bro I'm a very practical guide I collect knives and I have a lot of knives however I would feel comfortable using every single one of them to defend my life if I needed to it is not uncommon for the most expensive thing that I wear any given day to be my knife but I'll tell you what there is literally zero reason (outside of purely collecting) why anyone should spend $1,300 on a knife I have had expensive OTF stand I've had dirt cheap OTF and in my personal experience the best mid-tier like $150 otfs are the ones that have spent the most time in my if I'm getting mugged and I pull out a combat troodon my mother's going to laugh at me and take my knife instead lol also there is literally zero chance that they are actually worth the amount that they're being sold for they are just not worth the money in any sense other than like I've said before outright collecting them which if that's what you're doing with them more power to you but I maintain and I will maintain till the end of my days I will never ever ever carry a combat troodon
If the steal is any good on any of them
Can't really afford one of them
What's with the plug for that website? We're putting ads in YT Shorts now?? Disappointing.
Bro really said like 10 vids later the 35 dollar knife sucked
This is why I kinda think that putting a name on something and making it cost more than the materials are even worth, is kinda dumb… but it just makes me disappointed so much I gotta see these knifes..
Bruh I have a $50 version of the first one and it’s much better, but it’s my first soo:)
Did you seriously just put an advertisement in a short?
Did I hear that correctly? $1000 giveaway for every $100 spent?!
Not to be that guy but apparently an OTF isn't actually a switchblade
Where is the g&g and heretics
That second one is a cobra tech not boker
Boker not cobra tech. Do your homework
@@_doomzday it is cobra tech when I can see the cobra tech logo when he flipps it and boker does not make an otf knife in d2 blade still
@@_doomzday and the only boker knife that does use d2 tool steel is the boker kalashnikov automatic which is not an otf
Here’s the thing. I’ll never NEVER spend more then 50$ on a knife. Best knife I own is a buck 110 I bought for 45$ before they jumped in price. They all work the same when it’s for defense I don’t care about the status cymbal of a microtech
Buck knives are probably best if you can't buy really high end knives and you don't have access to them
See i thought the same, would never spend over $60 (thats how much a case knife is in my area) and then i got a spyderco for my birthday…. It is such a huge jump in performance and cutting ability
Ah yes, pay more money because B L A D E
S H A P E
13 hundred?!!
I have a regular Combat Troodon. It was $565. That one is $1300 because of the Damascus blade.
No I was asking wtf is a 13hundred?
@@garbel7600 it mean 13 hundred which means $1300 you gotta be young
No I'm just using actual numbers
3 seconds in and imma stop you right there. 1.3k is a no
Yeah
You can get a handgun for that price
>USA company
>made in the USA.
But that doesn't mean it's quality xddd
But that's where all our guns come from
No
@@autumn5592 oh there has to be one important thing that we use that's built in America
@@bbqsprinkle The most popular guns used in America aren’t even made in America
Microtech Is the gold standard when it comes to the otf Market they've been producing otf the longest and they know what works and doesn't
Calls the shitty knife alright that he called shitty in another vid
I pooed my self
None of those knifes have the capability to be more than a box cutter or a shank. Spent 300 on a ghost otf only to be disappointed as it was consistently outshined by my 50 dollar shrade single action gen 3 otf.
Commercials in shorts now? Lol getting ridiculous
All of those look incredibly cheap and incredibly flimsy
Why no infidel up there? Kinda messed up man
Because the infidel sucks, people say Microtech is overpriced but almost $450 for d2 steel is an absolute scam. Plus they have weak action, and misfire often. I have held and used over 7 different Infidels (including the mini) and none of them have had good action.
Imagine that shit jam when you bouta poke someone up
Weren’t you just shitting on gas station blades, looks exactly like the first one 🤔
Toooooo much money, you shoul shame.
