Guiding Light June 27 2001, Beth tries to escape as Cassie contacts Reva

In San Cristobel, word gets back to Phillip that Beth did not attend the funeral and no one seems to know where she is. He, along with Noah and Richard, prepare to find Lizzie, James and Beth and take Edmund down. Meanwhile, Beth continues to plan her escape from the tower. She ties a rope to a secure chain in the tower. Edmund returns from the funeral and discovers that Cassie is not at the palace. He goes to the tower to talk to Beth and spots her trying to escape. Edmund runs up the tower and grabs hold of the fraying rope.

How and why did Cassie end up marryng Edmund? How couold she after all the things he did to her? I didnt watch at this time so I dont know the story but it seems like she had to be out of her mind

I think because she was still deep in grief but honestly Guiding Light screwed up her character big time!!! After that her character went down hill, totally unrecognizable.
