    Also if you swipe with two fingers to the right on a layer you can quickly alpha lock it

    I just knew that we can take screenshot by swapping pencil from iPad corner. Who else wasn’t aware of this feature? Thanks for showing it brad. 👍🙏

    So many good tips here!!
    1.The adobe palette is GREAT
    2. Copying a screenshot instead of sending it to procreate (I might be dumb but YESSS)
    3. Same percentage of shadows for the paper cutouts (changing it is fine, but having it as a rule of thumb makes it easier!)
    4. MOVING THE SHADOWS. Immensely satisfying!
    If I can add another quick tip! To change colours in real time, it's easy to just hit wand -> hue and saturation ! It's always helped me, and just changing the colours slightly towards cooler/warmer is good for experimenting : )

    9:57 Doubletab at the circle in the white direction and it will be a perfect white ;-) works with each direction

    It's so frustrating to see what many artists achieve with Procreate and me wanting to get to that level, yet I'm over here barely grasping how to work with layering. 🤦🏽‍♂️ Though, to be fair, I recently just got me an iPad and Procreate December of 2019. So, gotta practice... 🤷🏽‍♂️😅

      It'll take you 6months to get familiar and a year to be able to achieve pretty impressive work and another 6 month's to do what he is doing. Currently!
      I work from home now so I get time to draw whenever I go on break now!

      You're getting yourself in the gap. Don't be expecting your results to be just like the pros when your skill cannot compliment that expectations.
      Be happy with what you can do. Keep drawing and practicing. It may not be now, but later in the future you can be great. Just keep doing what you love.

    Little tip that I learned from another TH-camr if you double tap near black, and white it will auto select pure white for you & black, it helped me a lot but you might know this already and some people might not! Your welcome!! Love the tutorial very simplistic and easy!

    Just subbed cause I’m missing out on A LOT of procreate features, like this app costs 11€ and the stuff you can do with it it’s amazing. I’ve been using photoshop for YEARS, more than 10 years, it’s going to take me a little bit of time to get used to procreate, but I feel it’s way better than any other painting app.

    This is exactly what I needed to learn.
    I've been creating some graphics for a video series by stop-motion animating real paper...
    Which is nice and all but good to have a potentially more efficient and versatile digital alternative, at least to supplement the real stuff going forward

    Some shortcuts I also found:
    - choosing pure white/black in the disc. If you double tap on the white/black area it’ll give you pure white/black.
    - swipe with 2 fingers left to right on a layer and it’ll alpha lock it.

    Very labor intensive and I think that we can move a lot faster with just traditional painting. But is highly technical and the prowess is impressively on display. I think with my paintings, I’m more of an oil guy. Thanks

    Learned a bunch of gestures that Ipad never mentioned to me.. Also spent the last 2 days drawing something to use this tutorial with.. My intention wasn't to make a paper effect but instead i basically used it like an emboss tool and added some depth on a water texture practice.

    You can do double click on the wheel ond left upside for perfect white and double click at the bottom for perfect black.

    Thanks for the tutorial. I followed along for most of it but wasn’t able to select and clear to see the text underneath. Gosh procreate is harder to use then I thought, but yours looks great.

    You can double tap on the white section of the color pallet to choose the perfect white. This also works with black and blue I believe.
