For people from red listed / amber listed countries where active recruitment to the uk has been banned, the process of applying directly for nursing or midwifery jobs in the uk especially through trac.jobs or nhs jobs has become extremely difficult for most people and some people have already given up.In this video, I interviewed Aduse who recently relocated to the uk as a nurse to share his tips and tricks that helped him get several job offers through trac jobs. My experience for direct application is to really sell yourself when writing the supporting statement, that’s what the they print out and base on to recruit and interview you. You should look at the “I, E,” in the person’s specification and job description. “I” means Interview and “E” is Essential. This implies that, the “I” is what’s going to be asked during the interview and “E” is an Essential quality you need to have or that must be present in your application, that’s the supporting statement.
Don’t put little effort in writing the supporting statement. Make sure you try and exhaust the 1500 words since that’s like your CV. Your previous experience and what you have done matters though but that’s not where they base on to recruit you.
Also, look for trusts that state in their job advert that they are ready to offer Certificate of Sponsorship and people from overseas would be considered alongside those who are in the UK. It is easier to get called or considered for an interview that way.
Thanks 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That’s a good one Tilly …
Let me clarify something, even when you write all you have done in the space provided for previous experience , make sure to mention it all again in your supporting statement.
@@TillyBOAT Exactly the point! Your Supporting Information section is the most important part of the Tracjobs applications
@@kwadwoaduse3058 @Nanelle Griselda thank you so much for this bulk of information, I really appreciate
After passing both exams and you’re confident of your supporting statement, taking the pain to tailor the JD and PS for each supporting information yet no “congratulations “ what will the daughter of Zion do😩
I would also like to know why or what disadvantages of working in a care home are because all I hear is nhs and these same people will be crying about the workload and small pay.
@@elizabethtai-ojuolape3171 if you’re doing the right things, then keep applying. But what if your application deadlines are not due?🤔 I think you should check the dates for the applications too. Great video👏👏👏, the part about where you talk to other people is really true. I had also applied to so many trusts, and as for the agencies🤦🏽♀️, they were so depressing. I got an offer and I arrived a week ago through an email a friend gave me. So yeah, even if we are not talking with everyone, we sld talk to people who can help.

Please can you do another video about the kind of jobs that overseas nurses from redlist countries can apply for? Must it be the one's titled international nurse? Because from Aduse's experience it seems like there are a lot of options but I am not finding the job search so easy.

Thank you so much for this video! I wanted to confirm if the trust you apply to would need some form of proof from your employer(e.g like a letter) that you worked with them? I've been out of practice since 2016 and I've not been able to get a place to at least volunteer but want to get assistance from a friend. Would they cross-check on the CV with an employer written on it to check whether or not I worked with them? I'm Nigerian, a doctor from Ukraine. Is this available to doctors too 🥺
Usually, it’s just your References that are requested. But then it’s better to explain the reason for the gap.
Unfortunately, I don’t know much about the route for Doctors but I’m sure these tips may apply
