- Keith Archer’s Ultimate Egg Cure goes over how to cure Coon Shrimp for Steelhead on the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. He discusses scent additives for Steelhead and how to set up to plunk and catch more fish
I've been watching your vids for a few days now and learning a lot about scents. We fish the same areas. I like your description of casting a double rig..I do it the exact same way. I use pro cure throat candy on my coon shrimp with amazing results. The only thing I do a bit differently than you on my setup is putting a bead topside of my spin glo to shed debris . Love your channel..subscribed. see you on the river sometime.👍
Good stuff as always, keith!!
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback
Great video and a wealth of knowledge! My son and I watched this video together and now he wants to go buy the exact scents you used.
That is awesome! Glad it was helpful
Thanks for the info Kieth and thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge. 🤟

Jim from the Office? Nice cure man!
Thanks! lol
How long do you boil the raw shrimp to get them ready for curing?
You ever use your cures for curing sand shrimp? I know live is best but can’t always get them…thanks!
No I haven’t personally. I’m guessing it would work for sure, we have access to fresh shrimp often so it’s never been something I’ve personally tried. I’d blanch them with distilled water and cure 👍
I have always thought it would be cool to take my family out on the boat but plunk and play from the beach on an island that’s only accessible by boat.
Now that’s exactly what I’m talking about. Bachelor island in Woodland is a great spot for that 👍
What # test are you using for your plunking leader and your spin glow leaders if different.
I personally run 25lb leader and 50 pound spider wire (braid for mainline. The splitter is 40lb test
