Great video. Just a note: It's not necessary to take the ferry to IconSIAM, as it can be hot and time-consuming. Just stay on BTS Silom line one more stop across the Chao Phraya river to Krung Thonburi station, then take Gold Line to its first stop: Charoen Nakhon station. The station is connected to IconSIAM... can just walk right into the mall.
The long, brown piece in the Yen Ta Fo bowl is squid meat not a pork stomach........I really like Yentafo. Usually this dish mostly consists of seafood. (except pork blood cake......LOL) and morning glory which are indispensable in this bowl of noodles.
✔ Terminal 21 ✔ is my favorite. The best food court of all ▪ LOW PRICES ▪ Great Services That's why a lot of people here. So, table is hard to fine 😊 I like Kuay Jub here and Rad Nah is good too. ❌ Siam Paragon is my last place. Everything are expensive for food court. Some just sell name at higher price and test and quality are not much different than Terminal 21 which are 50% - 70% less cost. You must buy 500 bahts card here instead of 200 B at Terminal 21. I try one and once is enough Go eat at the restaurants better than food court here
You ate the Massaman the same way I would, even the potato. I'm going to Thailand for the first time in February of 2025 and I can't wait. Your videos are very helpful by the way.
@@hungrytoexplore We’re going to Bangkok, Krabi, and Pattaya. We fell in love with Thailand watching the movie Kickboxer when we were kids so we’ll visit some locations JCVD went to in the film plus eat some amazing food we can’t get here at home.
@@jjxfen4898 nice. I actually just tried Massaman for the first time yesterday. Mango sticky rice too. They were amazing. I can’t wait to go to Thailand!
Terminal 21's food does taste good and has a reasonable price while siam paragon is a kinda like luxury version of food also fresh mart. Goods in there are in good shape and have a nice quality but it come up with hihg price as well. Iconsiam is kinda expensive for me and food is neutral or kinda not worth it for me. I've tried some from iconsiam it cost me around 100-200 bht while I bought it from some local area at 50-80 bht as a same product but better quality and better taste.

I love Thailand! I went to Bangkok for the first time this year back in July. I was only there for 5 days but food was everywhere! Amazing! I mostly ate at the hotel mainly because breakfast came with my stay but the breakfast spread was amazing! 5 different stations, Asian, European, American, Dessert, and Salad/ fruit. Dinner was always at the hotel because I did not want to be out too late. It was too hot! haha! However, I did get to eat at Siam Paragon and the food court at the platinum market. Also, I once ate at the central world mall food court, all walking distance from the hotel. Best hotel I have ever stayed at. I might go back. I want to try this other Siam place you just mentioned. I did not get to see the river nor ride any river boat.
oh yeah you should visit ICONSIAM, it is the other side of the river, but for me it is the best of all of them. It will be interesting to see what you think
In the Siam Paragon, actually all the kiosks in Thai street food area are the famous and well known restaurant. I recognised them. Your Yentafo is my favourite one. ❤️ Love to see your Thailand videos, cheers.
And in Yentafo that one is squid!! Not ear or stomach lol. Preserved squid, it has crunch texture. Normally they have fish ball, fried shrimp ball, fried tofu, squid, jelly fish, fish dumpling and blood pudding. This restaurant is famous for their fried shrimp ball and fried and braised pork bits (the dark crispy one in soup).
Thanks for the video! I like all the food courts, but the one at Iconsiam is mostly very crowded. Have you been at the Starbucks on top of Iconsiam? They have Special Drinks and a terrace, from where you have the best view over Bangkok! I saw your video about the Terminal21 Food court , so I tried the Massaman at Terminal21, its really, really good! My favourite Food Court is still the one at Central Pinklao!
I haven't tried that actually, I will try it next time I am in BKK. I do love the food courts for easy food options but I really do love the street food and that is my go to.
must try; Ros Niyom (Thai cuisine) restaurant at Emquartier n Central mall, they serve; Green Curry (Gaeng Kheau Wan) Massaman Curry (southern Thai) Crabs Omelets n Prad Kha Pao Moo, Mango sticky Rice (Khao Niu Mamueang), Have a Zeed restaurant at Terminal 21, Laem Charoen (Thai Seafoo) resto at Central, must try; Mud Crabs Curry, Grilled Prawn, deep fry Grouper serve with chili sauce, SomBoon Seafood restaurant at Hwai Khuang, Thong Smith restaurant serve; Thai Boat Noodles, Deep Fry Dumpling n Dessert; Bua Loi, Prachak Roast Duck at Silom, etc
Tourists love to eat street food, and that's a great experience. Food courts are OK too, and a step up in comfort and hygiene. But most visitors ignore chain restaurants. They don't have the street cred, but you can get some very good food in chain restaurants. Ros Niyom for one. Then there's Ong Thong which specialises in Khao soi and it's amazingly good. For pad krapao Moom Gapao is really good. Even the ubiquitous S&P is often very good. You rarely see tourists in these places, and only the occasional expat.
that is true, I guess they simply want something different than they are used to or just do not film these places. I must say, I have eaten in Ong Tong and it is too sweet and creamy for me. I prefer street khao soi
I have been to all these food courts and they all have good points. You are right about them being a good entry point to street food. I am still working up to street food. The language barrier intimidates me. But my goal on this years trip is to get there. Enjoy your vids and am a serious Gary Butler fan. Cheers
I am a big Gary Butler fan too haha. Do not worry about the language barrier... just use the google translate app on your phone. Use the camera mode to translate the menu and then just point or learn a few phrases to get your by. That is all I have done. For instance, learn, spicy or not spicy. pork, chicken, beef. I want... Great blog. Just want to say the ferry doesn't always operate. It didn't on three of the occasions we were There. But in saying that it doesn't cost much to jump on a long boat ferry
Oh really? I also heard they charge 10 baht for it now since I filmed. But you’re right, the long tail is also a good option to hop over. I prefer arriving like that

MBK over T21, never been at Icon, but in February i will try it :)
I enjoy Seacon mall near the airport. Junk food on the bottom floor is great
Terminal 21 has been hard to beat.
My question was valid after listening to your opening gambit

Yes that's true. I take the Gold Line too ...
Thanks. Going there in december wirh the family and look ling at the easiest way to ge there from SIAM

No more FREE shuttle service to ICONSIAM 10 B is charge per trip.

All look nice and clean
You are right about those who are nervous eating street foods, they should begin with food court in various malls.
yeah that is another benefit, all are clean. But I would definitely use it as a starting point, not just a place to only eat at.
You put too much vinegar in the Rad Na.😳😳😳😳😳 Since it is very sour, you should add a little sugar to it to tone down the sourness.
Haha i prefer it to be more sour than sweet. I like things to be salty and sour
@@hungrytoexplore OK, if you like. For me, it is inedible.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
