Whatever your base ignition timing is set to via ECU should be the same wise of the timing set under the hood. So if the ecu says 10• then the harmonic balancer timing mark should be set to 10• as well. Essentially synced.

I like to set base timing at 15* from idle to 3k rpm, then have someone keep the revs it at 2.5k rpm while verifying timing at the crank. Adjust the cam angle sensor to get it to 15* btdc. Then change the base timing map back to what you are going to run. I love the build, keep up the good work.

hit up matt miner from dynotek tuning. He's up north and he's a pro with nistune. Not a fan of him myself due to personal issues but he is very good at what he does.
I agree but he is said to be very good at what he does. He got mad when I purchased a nistune board from the company itself, rather than it upcharged price. That made him not tune my car. But, oh well. I guess rsenthalpy was the better option anyway xD

the reason its still going rich is because all the fuel gointo the dead cylinder is getting pushed out into the exhaust and the wide band is reading that fuel, if you unplug the injector on the dead cyl you will be able to tune it better
Kalvin, you set the timing wrong! See "Like ZO"'s comment. You cant just turn the CAS, you need to lock timing in Nistune to 15deg, and then verify with a strobo that you are actually hitting 15deg. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
I feel bad for sub 2.5L Rb users. Love the RB engine, great engine next to the 2JZ. I have owned an R33 GTST. But even after my friends (6) that owned a modified Skyline RB26, I think that the 2JZ is much easier to make power. However, the Supra is only 2wd compared to the Skyline AWD.
Because 500hp for 2j and rb25 are totally different feeling, mine was rb25 spooling at 140km can make you driff for 1 bar boost with rwd , that is the reason those gtr must be awd. 2j is not powerful kick once spooling
hey man i understand that your aren't a tuner and i don't mean to give you lecture or anything but you should know that this is a really incorrect way of tuning your afr. I really doubt your tuner changed the fuel by adjusting the programmed afr map in the way you just did. In doing so you completely changed the shape of the map and now instead of a progressively richer afr as boost comes in your map actually appeared to get leaner right where you would start spooling. Obviously in the car your afr is actually rediculously rich but that is because the VE or MAF tables are too high (these tables are supposed to be tuned until your measured afr is equal to your target programmed afr). Honestly man you should get to a professional as soon as you can or try and atleast watch some material online on how to do this type of work. (try hpacademy they are great and have some free entry level lessons, worth watching even if you aren't trying to be a tuner). Hope you don't think I'm trying to knock you, just trying to help :). Good luck with it man, sounds amazing.
Its not the best to play with the tune espically if you dont know what your doing. Takes along time to firgue it all out you cant just start changing fuel and timing. Just giving my 2 cents
