- The elder sister of The Hero of Bowerstone had a tragic life. What happened to her parents, and where did she end up? I went to Albion to find out!

Siblings in the Fable universe never seem to get it good. Theresa gets her eyes sliced out and raised by bandits, Rose gets shot when she thinks she’s going to be living out her dream, and Logan gets consumed with worry and fear and becomes a tyrant. I think Theresa was jealous of the other heroes’ siblings and orchestrated it so that they would have it as bad as she did.
Was thinking the same thing but I think In the other game she soon realized she did wrong and felt guilty because she said something that she could had stop it because she saw rose fate but didn't stop it
I thought she was just using the heros siblings as motivation for the heros to go on their journeys. Like pawns in her chess game. Rose's death motivating the Hero of Bowerstone to develop into a powerful hero to kill Lucien, and turning Logan into a mad tyrant to get the Hero of Brightwall to develop into a powerful hero to stop Logan.
I all my life believe Theresa did this because of access to the Spire. And she was punished in Fable The Journey.
Jack Of Blades really messed Theresa up. She led Sparrow and Rose into a trap with no empathy or remorse whatsoever, just so she could get access to the Spire. I wouldn't be surprised if she set up Hammer's father to be killed as well, as a way of forcing Hammer to abandon her peaceful ways and go along with her crazy scheme. Maybe killing her with the Sword Of Aeons was the better option all along.
@@silversnail1413 I personally think it has to do more with her being raised in a bandit camp, learning from their morals, but to be fair, she wouldn't have been there in the first place if not for Jack.
We never hear much about Rose and it absolute kills me. She deserves so much more recognition.

Just gotta say, I love fable to death, you do a great justice for those just coming into the series as well as vets who had trouble with the lore. Keep it up!
For me Rose was the greatest heroine! One that did not have inmortality, that couldn't destroy armies, but one with the strength to raise and protect Sparrow while having only 6 years and no money, raising him/her into greatness. It is very sad that Rose had to die so that her brother/sister could become a legend.
They should get you to voice Audio-book versions of the Fable books. I think it would work.

Honestly, I like the idea of her just living in a paradise realm enjoying the life she never had in Albion. Living in peace and happiness, but waiting every day for when she sees her little brother come walking down the forest trail- her little Sparrow, reunited with her again. Maybe that's where all heroes and legends of Albion go to when they die, as a sort of afterlife, but eh... I just like the very melancholy thought of Rose living out her life but always waiting for sibling to come back to her though never to see them again. Kinda like Theresa with The Hero of Oakvale. All the Heroes get rewarded in their adventures with fame and fortune, or infamy and fortune, but never really get what they've always wanted in their lives because of just how cruel fate seems to be.
William Black lost his kingdom, his soul, and his apprentice.
The Hero of Oakvale lost their family, their town, and possibly had to sacrifice even more in their travels.
The Hero of Bowerstone loses their sister and never gets to see her ever again, even after saving the world and sacrificing quite literally everything to get her back.
The Hero of Brightwall loses their brother to his own madness and their father-figure mentor, saving the world but still losing everything.
True, for an rpg known for its light hearted humor the protagonists really do suffer too much. I just hope they all at least died happily on their deathbed beside their family
It's like what the teaser trailer for the new Fable game. "Not All Stories have a Happy Ending."
The Hero of Southcliff lost his parents to.
It occurred to me recently that the fella in the Graveyard who resurrects Lady Grey could have solved the entire plot of this game.
Resurrect Sister Hanna's father.
Resurrect Rose.
Resurrect Lady Fairfax and Emila.
Solved.
No need for revenge, no need for the Spire.
This is why I read the comments when I rewatch these videos because I cant believe I never thought of this

I have been waiting for a meeting with Rose afterwards the events of Fable 2, sad that she actually did not appear.
I didn't know about the end part- super interesting. Is nice to think she had some peace in the end (hopefully).
After hearing about the cut death/descendant mechanic I wonder if they at all played with the idea of your choice of gender ending with a pick between which sibling survives/is the playable character rather than rose always being the one who dies.
I really enjoyed Fable 1 & 2 so I tend to wonder about what could have been a lot.
The new fable announced at the xbox expo was rumored to.have alternative universes and time travel in play of its story, maybe it follows Rose's offspring?
Thanks for clearing this up. I always wondered what Rose meant in her letter about waking up in a forest and meeting a scary man.
Thanks for the video dude, I always had a crazy idea as to what would happen if she did survive, would it have been possible for her to be a hero with you or something like that. I also noticed the music box and the forest were covered, helps resolve the lore around that wierd part towards the end.

The canon ending is sacrifice, the one where you resurrect everyone who died building the spire,so she stays dead sadly
Edit: actually I don't think the canon for the second game is stated anywhere so ig im just capping
@@Zanoladab It's most likely thay you are right since i doubt that the Hero of Bowerstone could become a king if he had chosen love for his wish instead of sacrifice, also correct me if i am wrong but in fable 3 there is not any mention of Rose being alive so yeah, it's most probable that the canon ending is sacrifice.
after 15 years, I finally realized in my latest gameplay that what Arfur wanted from Rose wasn't stealing or crime...
lets not forget she's technically Theresa's family from her brothers bloodline and still she decided to sacrifice her...
It's not that she decided, it's that to ensure the Spire never fell into the wrong hands these events needed to play out. Theresa is cursed to this fate, a fate of causing tragedy and suffering to create heroes to save the world. Rose's life was given to save millions.
I always thought that the scary man was Jack of Blades. Always made me sad but then I got the dog back and I was happy again

I played the first fable when it came out,at the age of 14.I fell in love with the story, the beautiful music, the "choices". Then Fable 2 came out, and I was like "my God, I'm in Albion again!" great video thank you, beautiful voice

I want to believe that Sparrow did find her, but allowed her to stay in the forest, for society had changed too much and had been too unkind to her for her too ever feel like she could ever belong there. And from that day forward, he would often go visit her whenever he had the chance.
That would make a good Fable storyline.

Always thought it would of been cooler in Fable 2 if choosing the Female hero option meant that sparrow would die in the initial encounter with Lucien and you'd play as Rose instead. She had the same blood so it makes sense that she would have the same potential. I can see where it would cause story issues tho but still...
I forgot how sad this part of the game was and forgot the letter good to know there was a happy ending but still so sad.
It was sad. I was hoping to see Rose pop up maybe as an adult after choosing *that* ending, but sadly not

Very nice video, I want some opinions from everyone. If rose was wished back to life, do you think that she aged with the Sparrow, or came back to life at her younger age?
Kinda made me tear up reading that letter from Rose after choosing family.

I always thought that Rose was transported to the Northern Wastes (if she’s resurrected) and the man she met was Scythe/William.
It didn't really hit me til now how much of a disgrace it is that they don't even let us see rose after choosing the love ending. They just give us a letter from her and cheat us out of anything satisfying. Like if you hadn't seen your sibling in 2 or 3 decades because you've been dead for that time would you not do anything and everything to get back to them and be reunited? What a joke.

if by lore the wish that the hero had cast was to bring back their family, i wonder what happened to rose and sythe if the hero found them
Idk if this is like a thought to anyone else but, idk just think about it. When Rose died she was child. Sparrow is obviously not a child anymore.. So did Rose like magically age when she came back or is she still a child? Would be cool if she aged but it would make more sense that she would’ve been a child still.

Yes, in fable your your parent (the dead king) is referred to as "your father" indicating a Male sparrow is canon

It depends on the Fable 3 players gender. As far as I'm aware, there's still no canon gender for Fable 2 or 3's protagonists. In Fable 3 though, if you are a female the Hero parent is your mother, and if you are a male the Hero is your father

@@jemmaleigh711 I've never had that happen. Even though playing through fable 2 several times as both male and female alternating between the two making sure my last playthrough is female. Every time I switch to fable 3 the main previous hero is always referred to as the hero's mother.
Wait what hold up time out time out you mean to tell me Rose is actually alive you're kidding no way no one has ever survived direct shot at close range I saw that madman shot her in the damn chest and I knew he killed her twice to finish her no one has ever survived toric contact like that but then again anything can be possible I don't even know if that's even possible if anyone could somebody like that is not possible

Too many years have passed. The world would be too different for Rose to adapt.
As for the Spire's workers... they might rally the kingdom to destroy the Spire in the future, while others would probably want to preserve it, leading to needless and bloody conflict. Feel free to argue I'm overreacting.
Perhaps I should go with money. To mess with the cycles of life and death would probably be a bad idea according to my calculations.

Your lore videos are entertaining but in my opinion you pause too often in your sentences. It sounds unnatural and becomes difficult to listen overtime. Why do you speak as if you were a program from 10 years ago?
