It went horrible. I did a duo server and I can tell most people are like you said, new to the game and not very good, but it doesn't matter if I'm a level 20 against a level 37 who ambushes me while I am trying to process through the first baby steps of the game.
This theme continued, and everyone I fought was at least five levels higher than me, but unless they were twenty levels higher than me and happen to ride past while I am at 30 HP after failing to avoid a brawler charge, no one wants to throw down. It's terrible xD
Edit: the guy who was five levels higher than me was the same guy who ambushed me early game, so I decided to fight him when I saw him later, and he didn't want to fight. Eventually he did and we did have an enjoyable fight, which I lost again
@@rookiecookie722 the game becomes very different the moment PvP is involved, other players are the biggest threat more so than any PvE monster/creature. 😅
But once you become comfortable fighting them, then it's game on ⚔

This is damn beautiful. I notice tho u swap n use almost all weapons but haven't rly used the scythe much. Is it not as good/useful? Would love to know ur thoughts on the scythe and whip as well
The scythe aka the reaper is a very situational weapon and it is mostly used for PvE purposes (E for farming or bursting down static targets). The reaper is good in PvP during raids, since the E acts as a zoning tool or a golem destroyer ability; as for the Q, most veterans will either use it if their counter wasn't procc'ed and the enemy is expecting them in slasher E close by or the chaos dash users will sometimes dash into you -> reaper Q -> dash away.
Nonetheless, it is not an essential weapon by any means, but I love having it for the E mostly.
The whip is one of the new weapons I didn't have the chance to experiment with too much, I have yet to step into the arena and see what people do with it. Personally, I tend to forget I even have it on my hotbar, sometimes I hear someone else use whip and then I remember I have it too. Both abilities are strong though, especially the E entangle. The unique thing about the whip is the fact that it allows the user to strike through objects such as trees, nodes, etc. Also one of the best if not the best weapon for farming, if you line yourself up properly, you can take out 3-4 trees simultaneously just with the primary attacks + E.
Time will keep on shaping the meta for years to come, it took players almost a year to reach the peak of gloomrot potential/efficiency.
This is impressive, without any of the max lvl or even the amulets is crazy

Ok, on a real note: it's a combination of positioning, skill usage, greater understanding of my limits, heavy i-frame usage (slasher Q, pistol E, dash), heartstrike healing me back, 100% warrior which made me tankier, making sure I get my heals off from the first primary attack after the dash and most importantly I was fighting a squad of goons that had no clue who they were up against.

Which Gearset do you prefer rocking and which Blood?
Personally I enjoy rogue set the most because of the movement speed and crit chance% and for blood, I like rogue for open world PvP and warrior for serious stuff like raid defense/attack.

So here's the deal:
By default, the interrupt ability button is X on mouse & keyboard, but most seasoned players have changed that to something that's close and comfortable to reach.
I set my interrupt hotkey to one of my side buttons on my mouse (Mouse 4) 😁
Could i ask you a good pve build? I’m currently level 70 and i’m struggling understanding good combos
For PvE, you cannot go wrong with Corrupted Skull, Ward of the Damned and Army of the Dead. (the unholy school was built for PvE)
Also, look for the "split in two projectiles" jewel effect on your corrupted skull and avoid the "explodes skeletons" one, that way you can get two skeletons from one proper hit.
For dash, I suggest either blood dash for extra healing, chaos dash if you wanna go for extra maneuverability, frost dash if you like the shield, or static for extra dps; it all depends on your playstyle really, just make sure you understand how they work.

Unfortunately no magic build will save you from a vet :(
You need to find two spells that synergize well with each other and then find the best jewels for them with the correct effects.
A good setup spell is cold snap, once you freeze your opponent you have enough time to follow up with anything you can think of.
I might make a video on some of the best build choices for open world pvp because it’s way too big of a subject to cover in a comment.

Is the pvp like ark ? Like you lose stuff if you get raided or you lose gear and stuff? Cause if yes im playing only pve xd
Most PvP servers are softcore, which means you will only drop resources and items, but not your gear :)
There are also merciless PvP servers where you lose - everything - from your inventory including gear.
If you don't feel ready for PvP, just finish the game on a newb-friendly PvE server and then maybe transition to a PvPvE RP one for a much more interesting and different playthrough 😁
This game was not meant to be experienced solo, I can tell you that much

Also if is softcore pvp people can destroy my castle?
@@wootwootwoot2062 Yes, you can play co-op on a private server with friends only 😁
Yes, people can raid you even in softcore PvP but they cannot physically destroy your base by destroying your castle heart (unless the castle is decaying =out of blood essence), they can only break stuff like walls/structures that you can repair as soon as the castle breach timer ends.

The more weapons you use, the more flexible/complete you are in your approach against all possible situations :)

what armor/jewelry are you wearing?
There are multiple frames where I open my inventory and you can see my entire loadout. (1:32 for example)
I am wearing a full dawnthorne set and the tier 2 green pendant for the extra movement speed and random condemns (very nice things to have for both PvE and PvP)
I’m running polarity shift and wraith spear and the illusion veil movement is fun
That build can be good against someone new but if you ran with that against us, you'd just get locked down immediately and punished heavily for not having a defensive like a counter or shield 😁

if your PC lags for video players than you might have hardware acceleration turned off. Check to see if it's turned off.
