Thank you for rescuing Spur and giving him a temporary loving home and giving him the foot care and vet care he so sorely needed. You also restored his faith in the human race..I’m sure your family will miss him but those little boys will certainly love him.
My favorite part of Spur's journey is when we all learned that he was not some throw-away pony, he was a great pony who seemed to be emotionally stable in spite of his history. Also when his eye healed enough for him to at least see shadows. Of course, learning that Spur would finally have a forever home with people who will shower him with love, that is the biggest hoorah for Spur. What a beautiful and wonderful pony he is, thank you for rescuing him and giving him another chance at the life he deserves.
I'm so happy for spur. I do hope the boys get proper training on how to hold the reins. The way he had them wrapped around his hands made me cringe 😬. But you could see the love in mom's eyes. He went to his forever home. Good luck spur you are a beautiful boy!
They will learn. What was good to see they behaved around spur so as not to frighten him. Boys are rambunctious by nature but they were very well behaved an aware of spurs feelings. I was impressed. Watching spurs story has been a delight. Wholesome and heartwarming to witness if even from a distance. Animals are so deserving of our love, care, protection and enjoyment. Thanks to the Farm on rt 66!!!
I raised two sons, two years apart , as a single father for a while. They can be a real challenge near same age. These guys are twins! I'm happy for them and spur!
@@democracy189 I agree! You can tell they're beginners, but they seemed very focused, willing to learn and to do things gently. It seems like Mom's got this and will get them up to speed.
I hope Spur is still doing well. He has lovely movement and would have made a great dressage pony. I hope the boys are treating him well because he deserves it. What a great little guy.
THE WHOLE SPUR STORY HAS BEEN GREAT, THE HOOF TRIMMING, THE EYE TREATMENTS AND THE SLIGHT IMPORVEMENT, AND FINALLY HIS ADOPTION BY A FMAILY THAT WILL LOVE AND TAKE GOOD CARE OF HIM AND GIVE HIM HIS FOREVER, SAFE HOME. I ASSUME YOU WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER HIS JOURNEY IWTH THAT FAMILY, CORRECT?
I'm happy for spur and his new family just hope the boy's get proper training as the way they rein be hard on the pony's mouth the way they are doing their turns. But very glad for all of them and new adventures.
Thrilled to see him go to a great home. However, the boys are young , eager and learning. They need some reining instruction. Pulling way to hard and shaking the reins attached to the bit in his mouth. I saw him opening his mouth wide and trying to escape the pressure. Wasn't yawning that time. Please give them reining instructions and dont ignore it thinking it will be ok. Spur will grow tired of it quickly and may buck or run away to avoid the hard yanking on his mouth. Better a lesson learned than a bruised head or worse from Spur trying to get away from it. I'm sure you know already. I'm not the only one on here who noticed. Still glad to see him go to a family who will care for him. Great story and ending from your chapter in Spurs life. Beautiful boys. Bless everyone.
My favorite part of Spurs journey was seeing you all giving him the love and care that he needed! Then seeing those little boys smiles getting him foe their birthday! God bless you all.
It just goes to show how horses act when they’re terrified and what a difference kindness makes. So many horses get a bad rap because they haven’t been handled right.
We had a cute little pony named sugar foot. He was my older cousins . When my cousin outgrew him we got to have him. He was about the same size and could pull a cart and we rode him . What a joy! I am 65
I’ve loved watching every minute of Spurs journey. He is a beautiful pony. Thank you for looking after him and looking after his feet and that sore eye. And, finding him a wonderful home. ❤️
He’s a lovely boy and deserves a happy ending. What a nice family-Mom especially seems very engaged in making sure everyone is safe and happy. They will do well! I’m no expert, but it looks like Spur has some good breeding somewhere. His head is very delicate, his temperament well-mannered, and he has that beautiful floating-on-air gait. A little Arabian, maybe?
Those boys mom sure fell in love with Spur. Looks like You found a good loving home for Spur. My favorite part of Spurs rehab was after he got his hooves trimmed and he was happy running around.
OH MY GOD SORRY THE HOOVES WERESO BAD ASAW HAD TO BEUSED IUNDESTAND THE PONY DIDNT FEEL IT ITS JUST LIKE OUR FINGER NAILS ABD TOE NAILS IT WAS SUCH A 😲 SHOCK GREAT JOB TAKEING CARE OF THE PONY KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB WELL NOT JOB LOVE CARE HAVE A GREAT DAY TAKE CARE YA'LL FROM 📽👍👍👍🙏 👵🐟♎🕊😄😁😷 😔 SAD TO 😊 GLAD 😊 🌞
It's obvious they are beginners... so why not teach them how to hold the reins properly from the Git go? Cute pony !!! My fav part of the video is seeing Spur get his feet taken care of !!
I think, the best part for me was Blake picking the pony up. Blake corralled her into the shoot area to trailer but kindly approaches and comforts her as he guides her into trailer. So compassion from Blake to horse but the compassion and respect the horse gave back. Blake’s friend capture emotion so well.
Hello There My favorite part of the story is two when you Kind Sir took him home and took great care of him second but not leased when Spur has a permanent family. Thank You for Sharing Spur's story he is so genital and sweet. . I wish you all joy. Happy Birthday Children.
In the intro - Look at how much higher Spur holds his head, how his ears track and follow you, how he looks about his pony self engaging with his surroundings. You all have brought him a long ways.
What A Lovely Compliment of Spur going to young Boys that can grow with him and be a part of Spur's life. the thing these boys must remember is not to neglect spur and love him with all the attention he needs. And Most important of all be calm around him - gentle talking to him No yelling or show aggression - Horses are very sensitive like humans.
I LOVE LITTLE SPUR. SO GENTLE AND GRACEFUL. REMIND THE KIDS TO HAVE GENTLE HANDS WHEN THEY HAVE THE REINS IN THEIR HANDS. HE IS A BEAUTIFUL HORSE. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL.
Spur has the prettiest gait and walks with pride. And so he should. He is such a kind little fella and I hope he is blessed with nothing but kindness forever. God bless you for caring for and loving on Spur. 🙏❤
Where does one start? Your gentle and considerate care of a neglected pony? The way you methodically went through his problems, starting with the most urgent? Finding him a good home? He is lucky you took him on.
So cute to see the young boys on their first ride. A pony has a sensitive mouth, so let him have a little rein, don't pull on his mouth. Hold them lower at your waist in one hand. Sit up straight, relax, heels in, hold on w/your knees. Pony does not need you to drive him. He is a living breathing thinking creature and can decide for him self how to best go around a stall. Gentle, always on an older horse/pony. I've often trusted the horse to pick the best route on a hillside, just as long as we are traveling in the general direction we need to go. Scarlet saved me from five angry dogs as we sprinted away out of their reach. Quarter horse/American paint is the best!
I’m so happy Spur has found a loving home. His whole journey has been my favorite. From being picked up at the auction and mislabeled. Spur being unsure of himself and when he realized he’s safe and can relax. His transformation after his hooves where trimmed and getting vet care for his eye. His sweet gentle personality shining through and finally two little boys to love him. Thank you for rescuing him and giving Spur a chance at a forever home. A suggestion to consider to help new / novice riders that come to the farm looking at the rescue horses. These items are great to have available when someone is trying out a horse or visiting. A set of rainbow reins can help teach proper hand placement. A bitless sidepull to prevent injuries to the horses mouth since often times new riders don’t realize how much pressure they are putting on the mouth or how hard they are pulling. And equestrian helmets in several sizes for riders to wear. Even the best trained horse can spook at times or someone can loose their balance and fall and sustain a head injury. A good fitting helmet can be a true lifesaver.
I really enjoyed watching this pony's adventure and am so happy to see that this story had a happy ending, both for the pony and this loving family. God bless you all!!
I’m happy he didn’t go to slaughter, he’s a really nice starter pony for children and he is going to a good home where he will be taken care of and loved.
OK - Spur captured me. I check in once in a while - Spur made me subscribe. You guys handled him right, and his true nature came right out. Please follow up - and I hope that little sweet pony found a loving stable.
Every thing about Spur was great so glad he has a good home . I just hope the boys get some riding lesson for spur so they won't over pull on his mouth .
Our favorite part of spurs story has been seeing his health improve so much over these past couple of months. His eye looks so much better and my daughter and I got emotional after watching his feet video and him running and trotting in the field. We loved meeting him, he is the sweetest. ❤️
"I was standin' on a corner in Winslow, Arizona, such a fine sight to see. It's a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford, slowin' down to take a look at me." I saw that town on the tow truck.
I just love that little horse. It's so great that hes going to such a good home. My favorite part of his journey was seen him run and kick up his heels in the pasture after he had his feet done. That was real joy.
Hope they were given riding lessons also. They should have received instruction while they were trying him out so they could learn how not to pull on the pony's face & how to hold the reins properly, keeping their hands low, etc. Hope the boys keep loving the little guy & the parents keep providing him with a loving forever home.
Spur the wild pony. Hee hee. No wild about it. He must have just been scared. Great job getting them all fixed up. Best wishes to spur.. What a nice pony and what a great gift!.
My favorite part of Spurs journey is after he got his feet trimmed and realized he could run. Second favorite- new loving home to give him purpose! Thanks Palmer family for all you do!
I’m so happy for Spur, these boys will have a great time with him. My favorite part of Spur was first he found his way to your family, then would have to be watching him after his hooves done, he ran for the first time it just melted my heart. 💕💕 you Spur, good luck!
Spur’s story was the first video that I watched on your channel. I wanted to see his journey so I subscribed. What a happy and successful rescue. Aloha from Hawaii.
I've loved just to watch that little pony but just the way the boys discovered that he wasn't crazy 🤣 he's a good looking boy for sure mister spur we are gonna miss watching you journey God bless glad his story turned out a happy one
Best part of Spur's journey was all the love you and your family have him from the time he arrived at your home until he leaves on his next adventure. God bless.
By far my favorite thing that stands out to me about Spur is the day he had his hooves cut. That was the beginning of his next life as some would say. From that point on he was a different pony. And it was funny watching yall cutting his hooves they were long. Glad to see him go to a good home
They all look so happy. The boys are thrilled and I think Spur knows they are going to be his new family. Even mom is falling in love with Spur. I see lots of love and happiness in Spur’s future. My favorite part of Spur’s story is when you figure out he was not crazy or dangerous and that all he needed was some patience and love. I wish him the happy ending he deserves. Thank you for rescuing him from a life of neglect.
Everything about this pony's touching your life and ours. The fact that the person at the auction recognized it's potential, and confidence in you to bring out Spur's best in all ways is my favorite. Bless you all, and Spurs new family.
My favorite thing with Spur has been seeing him become the happy pony he should have been from the beginning. He seems happy being with children ,or people in general. Happy trails to Spur and his new family! 💖

My favorite part of Spurs journey was his first run in the pasture after his hooves were trimmed. Pure joy ❤️

Same here
Did you see him high steppin'... he was a show pony for sure.
I agree, Spur has findly found a good home my favorite as well. God Bless Allen Palmer on root 66.
He pranced!
Seeing he had his eye looked after too. Hoping the family will take good care and provide well for Spurs health and welfare always. ♥️♥️
GLAD HE'S NO LONGER IN PAIN IN HIS EYE. ALSO, THAT HE FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME!
My favorite part of the story of Spur is how his sweet gentle nature just needed a little TLC to come right out. You guys are great.
I'm so happy for spur. I do hope the boys get proper training on how to hold the reins. The way he had them wrapped around his hands made me cringe 😬. But you could see the love in mom's eyes. He went to his forever home. Good luck spur you are a beautiful boy!
Saaaaame. I was like, please don’t pull too hard otherwise his poor mouth is going to hurt
They will learn. What was good to see they behaved around spur so as not to frighten him. Boys are rambunctious by nature but they were very well behaved an aware of spurs feelings.

What you did for the pony made me cry. What a great story

What a perfect home for Spur! You saved him for the boys when you picked him up at the auction and gave him a good life! It is the best outcome ever.
I will miss Spur. Please do updates on him. I do believe he has some vision back to that eye!
