If anyone is interested in the "Blue" Free People tank top, its listed on my Poshmark! poshmark.com/closet/alexandria_ryan Hey guys! Today we have a Stitch Fix that I cant decide if I really like or I have just been so beaten down by other clothing boxes that this one seems good lol. Also what do you guys think of the conspiracy that subscriptions are putting more and more of their own brands under different names in their boxes to control their cost and inflate the value of the boxes? Let me know what you think! Love ya💖
I work at an AMAZING thrift store in Las Vegas & I definitely know I could make a much better clothing box then this with pre-loved items. I would absolutely LOVE to send you a curated box if your interested :)
Omg i just looked at stitch fix, didn't show A THING LIKE THEY SEND YOU. BCUZ NO ONE WOULD ORDER FROM IT. CHECK THOSE clothes they advertise again. All proper nice MATCHING outfits. They keep sending bcuz you keep buying.. No No No more baby. Go but your dior nontransferable lip for your WEDDING DAY! Make us happy will you.. ❤❤❤
I do think you’re settling lol. Think of it this way: you could go into tg max with $126 and get anything you want or that box. Which would you choose? (YES IM BRINGING UP THE TJMAX)
I used to work at a subscription box service for like a week when I was 18. We would get profiles for the customers (preferences) and work off that. I would always follow the preferences and specifications as much as possible but didn't end up being fully hired after the trial week because I was "too slow." They prioritized speed, so many coworkers just threw whatever in those boxes and sent them out. I wonder if this is kind of the case here
I read similar things to your experience on Reddit from former employees of these fashion subscription boxes. A lot also mentioned that they didn’t have a lot of items to pick from, and they would rarely get new clothes in stock, so all those things combined meant that even though they wanted to they rarely could pick things matching what people said they wanted and didn’t want. So basically it sounds like the experience a lot of subscribers get is more or less exactly what they tried to avoid by signing up for the service. But they’re probably still making money from a lot of people forgetting to return items.
I agree that they are not terrible prices for a subscription box BUT with a lot of retailers putting summer clothes on clearance right now, those prices are way too high!
considering how often these styling boxes straight up ignore your preferences they might just be undercover exposure therapy for marketable fashion trends. since you ended up liking the open back and spaghetti strap tops i'm inclined to say that it's starting to work.
In my experience, when you tell them not to do something, they do it. For example, I HATE brown and black. They’d send me both in all boxes. To the point where I was asking friends if they actually sent colors. Which they do but apparently not to me.
Tk Maxx (or TJ Maxx in the US) does exactly the same thing. They own tons of brands that they sell in their stores, enabling them to claim whatever RRP price they want and then discount down to look like you are saving a ton. It's definitely sneaky!
Always wondered about that. God that is even worse because they just create more waste instead of clothes that cannot be sold in other stores. The same goes for all those outlets stores that create items for that outlet.
I actually worked for a clothing manufacturer as an accountant a decade ago. The shirt at Macy's and the shirt at TJ Maxx that are the same brand? They are made in the same place but the fabric is slightly cheaper (lighter weight) in the TJ Maxx version. From t-shirts to button downs, same thing.
@@MissEmai0110 tj maxx owns tk maxx their sister store’s and also another tidbit of fact if you have a ASDA store in your area just know that store chain is owned Wal Mart which is a chain store here in America
@@MissEmai0110 TK Maxx is the same as TJ Maxx in the US. When they expanded to Europe, the name TJ Maxx already belonged to another company so they had to change it.
Whenever you read the total price I always see it as the amount Alexandria is definitely going to be paying, because we all know you will never remember to send them back!! Ha ha ha
this is the literal reason I refuse to do any of these style boxes (stitchfix, etc.) - i know the chances of me getting around to sending them back are like zero. It's too bad since I've always wanted to have someone else pick my clothes for me (since heaven knows I'm not great at doing it myself!)
@@Patriot_Lady1776 the first box I had I sent all but one thing back. They even sent me a shirt which looked like a younger version of a shirt that my mother had and I was o.O
@@alexandramarkus9987 i’m not sure what kind of styles are being offered rn but there’s loads of listings on depop for style boxes !! i did a small one in 2021 and loved it since i they asked for pics of outfits i really liked and they’re usually fairly cheap since it’s mostly all sourced second hand !
I get the impression based on my Stitch Fix boxes that they are sending small light items to save on shipping charges. My last few boxes have been really small and haven't matched what I asked for at all, while everything in my Freeform does. The navy blue tank looks great on you, but I get the shoulder thing. When I was younger, people would comment that my shoulders looked like a linebacker (which for a female is not great), so I also have a thing against showing my shoulders too much.
I have a weird relationship with my shoulders, because I weightlift and I love feeling strong, but at the same time I share Alexandria's uncomfy feeling of "Oh my gosh I'm so boxy" when I try on dresses xd
I think they might be taking climate into account, though, if you live in the south like her. I live in TN and I wear summer cloths for a good 2/3 of the year, personally, though I am also just prone to over heating in general. I mis actually being able to wear heavy coats and bulky sweaters but for me most of winter isn't cold enough for that. I'm from the north, so... yeah.
honestly, compared to the other boxes you've gotten, this one is pretty good. reasonable prices for reasonably nice items, which, like you said, doesn't happen too often. i'm not convinced they've turned a corner and will be that good in future boxes, but this one is definitely a win overall.

Thankfully we wear the same size, but as we have different body types, some items fit one of us better than the other. I love the shorts you got! This was a pretty good box!
That felt more Spring into Summer than Fall. I like the black and white top and jeans. I would pass on the other pieces. Most of the clothes I buy online come from Gilt. Love ur video! ❤ Do you think you could do one where you get styled by a personal stylist or a service from a store? That would be really interesting to watch and maybe you would get more clothes that actually fit your style 😂 xx
Is it just me or is it time for Fall clothes, not Summer?? Wth? At least you're ready for next Summer and didn't pay too very much, I suppose. The polka dotted shirt and shorts are very becoming on you.
I think the stylist really did a good job of pushing your limits - but with reasonable options (rather than sending a $70 pair of jeans you hate, sending more cost effective top options that you may like / may not like to help with working through barriers or perceptions on what colours and stones you prefer) I personally loved that black top on you so I'm glad you liked it too!

That was a pretty nice box! I especially liked the black and white blouse and didn't think I would. If you were to ask my opinion, the only thing I'd return is the cut-out purple tank top (square cut out in back). I'd also take the last tank with me shopping to find a nice sweater or jacket to wear it under. Thanks for these unboxings, I've learned lots about them.
I agree that this was actually a really good box, especially since it's still hot out where you are. I love the black/white shirt, blue shirt, shorts, and jeans on you, although I would consider sizing down in the blue shirt - it looks like it's supposed to be flowy, but it should still be flowy 1 size down.
I think everything but that "blue" tank looks great on you!! I don't think anyone would look good in that thing. I can't wait for your next video. You just always make my day!! 😘❤️

Girl I adore your videos but pls pls give the darker washes a go. They’re so perfect for contrast, they don’t stain as easily, and they make a longer eye line from hip to ankle. Plus they’d look incredible with your grandpa sweaters and the deeper yellows and earthy oranges that you like
I would love for you to do a stitch fix showdown with a “adventurous profile” and see the difference (and if you surprise yourself with some styles you thought you wouldn’t like!)
I really like the last outfit that you tried on and I love wearing jeans it's my favorite to wear when I'm going out somewhere and you can wear all types of tops with them.
"Swiffer sweeper" and "Squishy Bits"- love it! I liked everything but the purple tank thing. The last outfit was my favorite and really nice on you! Love you girl! 💜💙
I assume they know her location and that she's in a slightly warmer climate. But these should be on sale or clearance prices as they are clearly spring stuff.
I'm in New Mexico and have had to explain to a stylist more than once that I'm in the high desert -- same elevation as Denver -- and we do have a real winter here. Only Trunk Club (R.I.P.) ever got it.

Girl I adore your videos but pls pls give the darker washes a go. They’re so perfect for contrast, they don’t stain as easily, and they make a longer eye line from hip to ankle. Plus they’d look incredible with your grandpa sweaters and the deeper yellows and earthy oranges that you like
I personally loved the black top on you. The shape was so flattering and i immediately loved the strong shoulder look!
The 1st outfits was very cute and flattering on you!
I would love for you to do a stitch fix showdown with a “adventurous profile” and see the difference (and if you surprise yourself with some styles you thought you wouldn’t like!)
Love the black and white top with the jeans.
I love the jeans and the flowery top with it x
The flowy tank top would look cute with a little blazer!
Love dark wash jeans for fall, although I'm kinda the opposite. I go more for dark wash. Plus my opinion your skin tone goes well with them jeans.
I enjoy it more when you are happy with a box!!! I feel so bad when you hate everything. I thought a lot of it looked amazing on you!
Auburn Cali 😃 suburb of Sacramento and those cutoff shorts were the style in the 70's & 80's
I really like the last outfit that you tried on and I love wearing jeans it's my favorite to wear when I'm going out somewhere and you can wear all types of tops with them.
The black top looks so good on you! Keep!!
I LOVED those jeans and the blue floral top on you! It is so flattering! I am watching late, but I wanted you to know that you looked so cute!
"Swiffer sweeper" and "Squishy Bits"- love it! I liked everything but the purple tank thing. The last outfit was my favorite and really nice on you! Love you girl! 💜💙
I think all of the clothes were very flattering...
I think the black and white top was very flattering on you.
I think this is the best box you’ve gotten. Almost everything looked amazing on you.
I know you didn’t love the style of the royal blue wide strap tank, but I just had to say that color is definitely your color! So pretty on you!
How did they think that shorts, spaghetti straps and backless tops were seasonally appropriate? 😂🍁🍂
I mean…. The forecast is consistently through the 80’s where I am?
I assume they know her location and that she's in a slightly warmer climate. But these should be on sale or clearance prices as they are clearly spring stuff.
Yup. I'm in WI. I've asked them for cold weather sweaters specifically and they send 3/4 sleeve thin knits. No, no. It is cold, cold.
I'm in New Mexico and have had to explain to a stylist more than once that I'm in the high desert -- same elevation as Denver -- and we do have a real winter here. Only Trunk Club (R.I.P.) ever got it.
That first top is so flattering on you! And I love the top with the shorts! So cute :)
