I’m in 6th grade and I played cello for 2 years. I need to learn this piece in 2 weeks to play in recital, and this recording is helping me a lot! Thank you:)
This 12 year old in my cello club played this at orchestra speed after 2 days of practice. Like Maxim, she played effortlessly. I find sections to be terrible - bar 84-90 is just crazy
Wow, that's impressive for a 12-year-old to master this piece in such a short time! As for the challenging sections, don't be disheartened. Pieces like this are designed to stretch our abilities and help us grow as musicians. You're right, measures 84-90 can be quite demanding. However, remember that progress in music is not always linear, and every challenge you face is an opportunity for growth. With persistent practice and patience, I'm confident you'll conquer this piece too. Take it slow, break it down, and gradually you'll find it becoming more manageable. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for all your plays! It helps me a lot to play well every song. One basic question; for first position where do you put your left thumb? Across first finger or second finger? I have 2 teachers and each of them told me differently. I’m confused now. Thanks
I believe that when it comes to cello technique ( ore any technique for that matter), there is no one rule which would fit everyone. We all have different hands with unique ratio between fingers length. It sounds like both of your teachers are trying to teach you to play exactly the way they do. Try to start in thumb position between index and middle fingers. You will for sure be changing your technique when you will start using vibrato and shifts. As far as you feel that your thumb is in good contact with cello neck and doesn’t feel tense or even sore, you are in good shape. All the best!
Hi, I hope that slow versions of these pieces help to learn them in more thoughtful way. I believe that just playing them this way is more useful than verbal explanation. Thank you for listening.

It’s probably just me but I feel like on the second part he comes in too late and then speeds up to much on the 16th notes...not sure...it’s fun duetting though
Thank you! Actually, now I would record it differently, using a metronome to make sure that everyone can follow it without any problems. In real life performance we would listen to each other. All the best to you!
It doesn't matter, try to coincide with you, it seems there are only two small errors in cello 1 that didn't fit me with cello 2 in bars 18 and between 30/31 :)
i have been practicing this for literally 4 months and without this video i would still be where i was 3 months ago lol thanks for the video

Why is my music different? Is there a new version, or…
You might have a different edition…
♥
Sir! is this the first movement? you are my internet teacher
Yes, it is. So happy to help!
@@Cellopedia how I can participate in your internet class?
Unfortunately, I do not teach online.
@@Cellopedia but I live in Venice Italy and how can I benefit of your classes? 😔

@@Cellopedia 🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂
If this is slow I don't have any idea what fast would be for me..😓😭😭🤣🤣🤣🤣just for me thooo
You know, unlike in sport, speed is not the most important thing. You will not even notice when you will start playing faster 🎻
1.25x or 1.5x works for me
I play crazy good btw

Sorry nice playing but your rest counting was off for part three
I will practice some more!
We play this, too. Faster, of course. Check out our version on our channel.
This is very bad idea to advertise your channel this way. Best wishes.
Cellopedia : we were inviting your expert opinion. We are young cellists trying to get better.
You don't keep a very even tempo during the rests and it's a little hard to follow....
My sincere apologies
Rly? He makes it soooo much easier for me lol
