Honolulu TheBus 2000 Gillig Phantom, Bus 812. Video includes stops from King St. & Bethel St. to King St. & Punchbowl St. The 2000 Gillig Phantoms (801-835) were retired from the fleet in 2022.
If it wasn't obvious with what bus is being ridden here, this video is old, recorded in June 2019. I just found this while looking back in my data files. I'm very pleased to have found this, always loved the sound of the Phantoms with the Voith transmissions! Big reason why I've been hoping to catch more of the remaining '03 Phantoms, as they might be retiring soon. Some of the XD60's also have Voiths, but these old Phantoms sound better with it imo.
No route listed in the title or description because I cannot confidently tell you what route this is on. I'd say the likeliest one for this route and bus combo is Route 40, but can also realistically be Routes C, E, or 19, with A, 20, and 42 also being possible, but unlikely. Also yes, regarding the edit at 1:30, Route 57A was still in service, as this was recorded 2 months before it was discontinued in August 2019, so it is possible I was correct there. I had to check this as well haha.
I do have 2 other old videos, one on Route 3 and the other on either Route 8, 22, or 23. I'm not gonna post those though, since I already have many uploaded and scheduled videos showing Downtown and Waikiki.
