I'm a physio by trade, need to practice what I preach. With that said, posture doesn't cause pain. But it can be a sign of underlying weakness or rom deficits which can be addressed 👍🏻
1-Stick circles overhead, with scapular elevation in the beginning 2-90-90 elbow-shoulder pec stretch with knees bent on the ground 3-90-90 stick+band explosive external rotation overhead (wide facepull) 4-overhead shoulder T spine stretch with support under T7
I think it's a good idea to start with bands instead of an actual rolling stick, for those that don't have the flexibility to extend their arms behind their back, you get to control the amount of tension, and gradually become more flexible.
Totally random but not so random thing I notice about you Daniel is, how long you have that Garmin watch Resisting the urge to hop on whoop, Apple, newer watch and whatnot somehow feels like an analogy to your genuine consistent no nonsense approach! In general (as somebody who is working in that field) you guys likely have no idea the sponsors Daniel likely already has rejected to stay true to his path , a fucking LEGEND that man is (national treasure on Vegemite level) 😂 LOVE IT!
@@danteghazizadeh1656 I totally get you mate I wasn’t referring to better or worse but rather to Daniel’s character to not give in to the „shiny object syndrome“ and always staying with what works and walking the talk He is a rare and fresh breed my man 💪🏻
Well said mate. Agree with u 100% Daniel is as genuine, passionate, humble as no other on TH-cam . Been follower for years & what u see is what u get. no BS & always guiding us on our Calisthestics journey. Legend for sure.
Thank you👍😁 It is important to understand the reasons for this problem. Often the cause are shortened muscles in the side and chest, as you Show and explain.
When I had shoulder pain for years from overstraining it with work and handstands, I was told by a doctor to "just stop doing physical activity above shoulder height". I regained painlessness and mobility from the first exercise. You can also use a towel if you don't have a long enough stick at hand.
Great video, question though. What do you do if only one shoulder is rounded? Have my right shoulder higher than my left and rolled forward. Lower trap exercises temporarily get them even.
You got any good exercises for re-strengthening your abs after umbilical hernia surgery? It's been over 2 yrs and I have no idea how it gets unpleasant, hurts and scar tissue sets in when I try to exercise and train my abs. Kinda frustrating.
Hi Daniel! I am a long time sub to your channel. I am struggling with the dislocates and unable to make the transition. I can elevate but not retract my shoulders during elevation? I am using a broom stick at the max width? Any ideas why I can’t do it please?
Can I do the first excercise with just a band instead of the wooden stick? When you were showing the bad form, it’s exactly how I look like with my bad posture. Makes muscle look way less existent.
I think he dont give us more information on reps/sets/frequency because if he do, buying his mobility program would be useless. Personaly, i would do 3 sets of ~10 reps/20-30seconds for each exercice with 30-60seconds of rest
I haven't watched the whole video yet, but I would say it has a lot to do with muscles on your back, neck etc tightening and shortening overtime. Pulling and pushing exercises alone can't solve the problem. You'd need to incorporate stretching exercising. Lower back pain for example, could be caused by tight hamstrings, so regularly stretching hamstrings could potentially resolve lower back pain issues with time. Incorporate a stretching routine, you'll see an improvement in range of motion and strength as well.
I love how you try to illustrate some of the problems people have and it looks so unnatural because your posture is excellent 😂

By the way, you inspired me to start calisthenics mate, I am here all built up from a skinny dude.
Thanks...
I wish I knew this 20 years ago at least now at 42 I’ve corrected it but still working on fixing the body adaptations to this deformation.
No useless edits. No shit dopamine. Just pure value. A video on lower back would be nice.
As I said so often: by far the purest fitness videos on youtube 🙌
The only bullshit is the title. There are some things you just can't fix.

I learned a lot from you. Keep up the good work my friend and thanks!!
The external rotation exercise was fantastic, thank you.
You're super, really appreciate your channel. I can't help but add, I love the garage door background. Really!
This is great! I've been wondering how to improve and fix this!
Thanks Daniel 👍, I been dealing with rounded shoulders for a while

Really? I have a garmin watch and, while I like it, I’d prefer an Apple Watch over it. Why’s a garmin better?

Anyone know the name of the ‘watch face’ he is running for the Garmin Instinct?
It's time to fix this desk job posture!
please make a video on using rings for stretches!
Thanks, dude. The rounded shoulders are my main problem and I didn't know how to fix it until now.

Came across this video while sitting with this posture 😂
Guilty
I thought you said shitting, which makes sense
Great as always, tho I would love to see something about flat thoracic back fix. I have great shoulder mobility but my posture is just wrong.
Golf elbow video, please
Do you have a video on how to improve range of motion for touching the small of your back with your hand?

facepulls and back bridges ftw

My elbows hurt a lot during dislocates. What can I do to improve?
slouched forward posture is better for my wrestling skills.
I do the third one with rings
What if I am unable to do just 1 rep of shoulder dyslocation even with a long stick
Train until you can.
Use bands until you can use the stick. Or buy a longer stick
Light rubber band, go as far as you can. Eventually you will get further and further back
I can hear my rotator cuff popping and I haven’t even tried doing this.
how to fix neck forwarding?
Great exercises but any guidance on reps, sets and frequency?
I think he dont give us more information on reps/sets/frequency because if he do, buying his mobility program would be useless.

Mhm try doing that with monster traps and trained necks individuals :)
Man, I can do these with a band; but with a solid dowel..😵💫
i can't even get the broomstick over my head this way
How can I get like your aesthetic physique
Knowing how poor my mobility is, that last one looks terrifying.
Where do you buy a stick like this, i have no idea
A broom works
In a hardware store
Unfortunately I don't even get my arms straight up, so the stick stays in front of me 😢
I love fixing videos for mechanical issues and fixed boody
Where do you buy your sweet looking t shirts, Daniel?
Dude, your first act is like a horror movie
My shoulders are now dislocated. What next?
Your videos don't talk about neck strength. A common lacking part in calisthenics

This is all well and good, but if you just go back to hunching over your PC or using your phone all day like a goblin, this will mean nothing.
That goes without being said and applies to everything in life. One would hope people have the sense to know this
