- We hope you have enjoyed our family trip to #PagoPago #AmericanSamoa! We had a great time and were so glad we were able to celebrate Joe's baby brother's 40th birthday. We are SO excited to share this vlog with you today for a couple of reasons. One, because so many of you have asked when we would be going back to Pago Pago, American Samoa, and two, because we thought this footage was lost forever. We had a hard drive become corrupted and we tried so many different things to try to retrieve the data and nothing worked, until Datalab NZ managed to recover the data for us!!

Pago has been seen by others off island to be an ugly place because of vloggers and other visitors that say negative things about my island. But your family has said nothing but promote positive vibes about my Am. SAMOA. I thank you Jamily TV. Faafetai lava faaeaea mo Am. Samoa. I bet your mom being in Pago brings back so much memory especially with ur dad.
Everywhere has its warts. But when you visit a place you’re not there for warts, you’re there to celebrate the unique assets of a new place! Sorry others haven’t said good things in the past. Can’t wait to go back again as we know there are SO many things we didn’t get to do when we were there. And you’re right. Mom was LOVIN’ it!! ❤️❤️
I lived in Pago for 23 years of my life and never appreciated just how beautiful it is. There is nowhere else in the South Pacific where you can be that close to mountains, it’s pretty breathtaking, Seriously it really is. It’s like I’ve lived in a miniature South Pacific Alps and I never realized that until I left. I think those people who complain are the ones expecting huge cookie cutter resorts that take away from the actual allure of an island. They are expecting Caribbean resorts that are all the same anywhere you go in the Caribbean. I’m proud that I come from a place that is still unspoiled from commercial tourism.
