Not sure if it exactly what you meant, but levels in mm1 felt allot more open compared to puzzles. In a way it is like comparing annoyed open world shooters to corridor shooters.

for some reason , i really love SMM1 . the ideas players used to put into levels were way so entertaining . SMM2 seems to be missing something and i don't know what it is .

There are something oddly satisfying with ryukahrs smm1 videos. 7:00 for example, "There is a giant fire bar" *Dies to a Thwomp*. Gave me a good long laugh. :)
@@dereptor I still play it. It’s way better. It’s not completely different, just a better physics engine. Spikes are better, munchers are smaller, you can spin grab with items in smw, more triple jumps in NSMBU, among other small things like that.
What blows my mind isn't so much Ryu's mad skills, but that there are people all over the world making exceptional levels ranging from jank platforms to flaming hot garbage!!! Like ...🤯
it would be cool to see you do an "Endless" 100 Mario challenge where you take the lives you had in the previous run and start a new run immediately after with those remaining lives, just die in the first level until the lives you have match the end of the previous run, and see how many runs you could complete like that.

At 16:20 you could’ve jumped off of yoshi and went over the spikes to the flag pole during the bowser/bowser jr fight. It’s MM1!
