Interesting. I got the iRig 2 today as well and am about to make a video about my setup with audio recorders like the Zoom H5 and F6 - plus including audio from my computer. 😅
The more people are educating about this the better. More people want o know this stuf. 👍

What it is loudest clearest mic that’s extremely loud on clubhouse? I usually use the old wire aux one either adapter. Instead of the ones that are wired and made for iPhone already. I find the aux with adapter to be the loudest vs. the wired ones made to made already to fit new iPhones. Do you suggest something just for iPhone? Less expensive than what’s been posted?

Thank you so much for the video but i would like you kindly answer this question,I am already using "clubdeck" on my mac and i wouldl like to play a background music while i am talking and also i would like to use my external mic as i have AKG 414 XL II mic and the output is from Motu 896 so i think i can change the input an to choose the Motu in the"clubdeck" settings but the question is how to play a background music while talking and at the sametime i could be able to hear the other speakers(just like the radio stations) can you kindly help me with that? Hello. Such a great Video.
I have Razer Seiren Mini which is USB mic, headphone without mic, and iPad mini 5.
I connected mic with Lightening to USB adapter, and headphone via 3.5mm port.
If I record my voice, it is recorded through the ex mic, and can listen what I've just recorded via headphone.
I wonder if I can use this setting to clubhouse as well.
    Thanks!

  • @justit2015

    Gonna try this.
Now Re: phantom condenser mic power, I get around that by routing it to usb to mac then routing software (audiohijack) back out to headphone 3.5mm jack out faking it as mic output. Then 3.5mm to apple lightning adaptor. Crazy end run I know, but condensers are superior vocal audio quality.

    • @GreenBoxMedia

You need a 6.35 to 3.5mm adapter to use the irig2s input. You find the link to one in the description. (As far as I know you don't need the TRS to TRRS cable for this to work with the irig2)

@@cjngiam3091 Oh no. The thing about condenser mics is, that they require en external power source (phantom power) the iRig2 cannot provide this. The microphone I used (Rode procaster) is a Dynamic microphone which does not require the power.
However after this video IK Multimedia (irig) reached out to me to provid me with a new tool to do exactly what you are looking to do. There is no copact video about it on my channel yet but here is a walk-through with a condenser mic. th-cam.com/video/cg_tF9_C5Y4/w-d-xo.html
I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you will be able to return the irig2 and replace it with an irig pre2.
Please note that the video mic Go also requires power which is supplied through the connection. Cameras can handle this, however the iRigs are not built to provide power over a 3.5mm jack.
