Mounting holes for magic arms, lights, etc. I love smallrig !! Also the VT20 ( which i have) is a great minipod in "big" tripod form. Serves / pays big dividens for me
Your videos are only getting better and better 👍👍Greetings from Luxembourg 👋
Thank you, Riccardo! 👊 Ha Luxembourg is awesome 😎
Hey Bram I can't find the 3033 version in the Netherlands. I just placed an order for the 2664.
thanks for the review. It looks like 3033 is better but it is not sold here
Hey there! The 2664 looks solid too though! I think you’ll be happy with it 😊
Best review for this tripod on youtube. Thanks!
Wow, thanks, Joel!
This was an excellent video brother!
Thanks mate! 👊
Thanks for the video. I will buy it. Taking panaromic photos vertically is possible? Or should i buy a "L bracket" from the same brand seperately? What do u think?
Good choice! I think it’s possible to do a vertical panorama, however I’m not sure if a full 360 - depends on the camera I think. I will check when I’m back at home from the holidays and reply here 😊
Hey Bram, I have a question!
What’s the difference between this small rig 3033 you reviewed model vs the SmallRig Tabletop Mini Tripod with Panoramic Ball Head BUT2664 ?
The 2664 is cheaper but it looks very similar and has the same features
Hey! Looks like the 2664 only supports up to 2kg payload, while the 3033 does up to 5kg. Also the 2664 only has 1 position, whereas the 3033 has 2. For the rest, quite similar, I’m sure it’s a good tripod too!
Just what I have been looking for ! $NZ 90 so have ordered one . 😀
You won’t regret it! I’ve had all kinds of these small tripods from various brands… but I like this one most 👍
@@coppensbram hi, I have a couple of small tripods , the MePhoto A0320 Day Trip is good and sturdy and quite versatile but relatively heavy and doesn’t have the pan feature (a bit annoying) but the one I actually found largely useless (despite the hype) is the small Joby with those knobbly legs. I really wouldn’t be putting &3k of gear on there !!😀
@@Chris-NZ Yes exactly! Better to have something proper to support all of that money 😂
Great video as all the others. My question is what camera and lens are you using for the head shot and for b roll? Thank you very much!
I’m only using the R7 at the moment 😊 For the head shots it’s the Sigma 18-35 since that has the f1.8 aperture. That’s the best solution for getting separation in the small space. The b-roll is filmed with different lenses, depends on the shots and locations. RF 24-105 F4L, Sigma 18-35 mostly though! Maybe sometimes I used the RF 16mm f2.8 too 😀
nice informative review. thanks
Thanks for watching! 👊
Great video Bram, I just purchased this and subscribed. Do you plan to do a video on lighting?
Thank you for the kind words! Much appreciated! 👊
Do you mean how I set up my lights to record these videos? Interesting idea 🤔 maybe I could do a "my TH-cam setup" video!
@@coppensbram Yes, Bram how you set up your lights for these videos. A BHS video would be educational and helpful. Thank you Bram, and much success. :)
Ok sounds like a plan! 😉
Mounting points are for mics, flash etc.
Yeah that's what I thought too... but on such a small tripod.... not sure if it's actually useful hehe!
@@coppensbram I have one of these and the mounts have been useful and the ability to strap it to stuff, like posts or branches in the field, is great.
Great review! I actually got this tripod and I love it. One question though, can you think of a reason why you would ever want/need to loosen the legs with the provided hex key? Since there is no place to store it on the tripod, I will probably lose it, but I just want to know if I'll be missing any functionality if I do lose it. btw, mine weighs 338 grams w/o the arca swiss adapter (camera mount), 364 grams with it.
Yes it’s an awesome tripod 😎 I think the hex key is not to loosen the legs, but to tighten them if they even loosen up. If you use a heavier setup on it, the legs might loosen over time. I actually use a multi tool from Smallrig, it’s easier not to lose, keep it in my bag at all times: amzn.to/3XtYpUa
And yes, I had the weight incorrect when making the video… it is indeed 338g… Apologies for the confusion 😉
@@coppensbram Thanks for the tool tip!
the mounting holes might be useful for counter weights
That’s a really good use for it! Thanks for sharing 👊
good review dude !! good work thanks
Thanks bro 👊
Hey Buddy ! Do you know if the base plate is compatible with Peak Design v3 plate ?
Hmmm good question! I think I have one around somewhere. I’ll try to find it tomorrow and try 😉
Hey Henry! I finally found the PD v3 plate 😊 I can confirm it works with the tripod! Should work with any Arca Swiss base. Hope this helps!
Have you verified the weight of 217 grams? I am very curious if its really that light...
Great review by the way.
Hah! It’s actually 330g… 😯 Good catch!
@@coppensbram Ah that makes a lot more sense, still very lightweight. Thanks for verifying!
@@Lha_Luke no prob! 😊
