This video is the modification of the Daiwa Alphas sv tw 800s. I added some cosmetic items and updated the bushing with bearings. Changed out the spool and spool bearings. Will this reel be able to handle lighter gear when I’m done? I wanted another Daiwa to throw in the mix. Let’s see what this reel is all about.

Steez is a 30 and 28mm the sv is 32 that I own
I misunderstood when you said they are similar. Just got in to JDM and upgrading reels this year so I'm ignorant😂
Hey earl! That screwdriver bit for the C-clip is called a U-type screwdriver bit. They come in various sizes but the one I use the most is a U2.6 size. I think the U2.3 size might come in handy as well though. Cheers buddy! PS dig that music! 🙌🙌🙌

@@The_Multi-species_Angler anytime! Always glad to help. Yea I don’t think the bit is originally intended to remove c-clips and e-clips but the size is almost perfect for removing these small clips. Gotta appreciate good chill music when you hear it! 🙌🙌🙌

I think this is a lil gem of a reel. I want the bearing, spool and a drag clicker upgrade. My question is will it be as smooth as Zillion in a smaller size? I will mainly throw 1/4-3/8 oz . Thanks
I never used a zillion with bearings spool and clicker everything is smoother than the original out of box build.
