From the begin ,,NO COMMANDS,, - only spontaneous behaviour and marking the correct behaviour with a clicker + reward.
Puppy is from 8 weeks of his age fed with Acana food and it is also used in this video as his rewards/treats.

Pet people use furbabies as a term and have them to help themselves derive pleasure. These are professional sport people who train for a purpose..,huge dedication. Pet people aren't interested in doing all of this.

My puppy is so lazy. I can’t get her excited about anything. She was a rescue at 4 months and she is almost 6 now. She has so may psychological probes that is hard to train her. I love to see a well cared puppy like yours. 😊
i would love to adopt a dog, but these kinds of things that scares me from doing so, so i think iama buy it, i mean it will live with me for more than 10 years (hopefully), it might as well be the perfect dog and not cause me serious troubles during these years, i hope you will be able to train her ❤️
Alex Raider oh no, my puppy is a sweetheart. She knows her obedience and is really good around other animals. I wanted her for protection but her early abuse has become a delay or impediment for that. She refuses to bite and my assumption is that she was beaten when she did before. She is the one in the picture. A full GSD bread. Super smart and all. I have no complains other than her inability to become a protection dog. I also train dogs, not as these guys but I never dealt with a damaged puppy before.
@@k9cfc I've owned, bred, & trained West German show lines with great drive & several were dynamite personal protection dogs. Difficult to make an assessment like that without seeing the dog first.

It is ,,Clicker,, and it is to mark the behaviour what we want in a right moment. Clicker has no emotions so is the same always.

When they have 4 months and more.

At this point no commands. Only spontaneous behaviour marking with clicker.

Yes. Then he give the behaviour a name/command and the last thing is that we say the command and the dog is doing it.

Got a question, what do you feed the puppies and how much in grams?
About the food is all in video description. How much food is difficult to answer. Every puppy has different metabolism. In generally every brand of food has weight table on the bad with weight of food how much the dog should be fed.
Does this pup "prance" like this on his own or did you did you work with him/her on this? Super impressive!
Of course it is work - clicker as behaviour marker and rewards.

Will conducting too much obedience take away from its ball drive as it hits 8-9months old ? asking because I’m trying to find the balance. Thanks.
Of course there must be balance. Trainer must build his ball drive as well. Some training sessions are only with balls.
CanineAmbassador thank you for taking the time to respond. Becoming a big fan of your guy’s videos. I’m getting a puppy and hope to prepare it for formal police scent detection training. Only worry is that the dog will only be 9months old when start time hits. Usually we start at the youngest of 1year old.

Kibbles. There training sessions are his breakfast/lunch or dinner. During the training he get all his meal.
