I was about 15 when they recorded this song and I used to trip with it, now I´m 45 and I still get goose bumps when I see Mr. Smith go into a trance with his guitar o how he reaches into it for the most beautifully haunting sound and notes. To me, the only band that didn´t follow any music standard and that pretty much created their own chord sequences as well as setting alternative music trends that gave way to many bands we have around. Long live to The Cure!
Long live The Cure hear hear! I agree with all your words there. I used to trip to it to. I'm looking for a 1984 live version of A Forest that is the absolute best! This one is top ten for sure
this makes me emotional :,) they're all doing their best here. amazing... the skill and talent that each and every one of them displays in this video makes me smile so hard my face hurts
A magical místery tour...
❤❤❤❤FAVORITE song❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤❤FAVORITE BND❤❤❤❤ #1CUREADDICT Who's listening to my FAVORITE Band in 2019?!!! THANK GOD The Rock & Hall of Fame finally got their heads out of their ASSES!!!!! Anyone know where this was live in 1990?!!!
It's clear that when Boris is behind the drums. one does not need to see him, the sound itself spells Boris... Amazing solo by Robert Smith

That was poetic
You sure were tripping . This was released in 1980 so if you’re now 45 you were only 3 . But hey whatever age this is a classic

Song, song, song.Pięknie ,fantastycznie bravo Mr. Smith i pozostali członkowie zespołu...
This will be the 7th or 8th different live version ive watched of this song and its one of the best. The 1992 one from Ghent can't be beaten.
The best of the best!!!!!!!!!

I know! I played "Simonette" in a Cure Tribute band here in Portland, OR from 99 or 00-07. Even Trent Reznor looked halfway pissed! 🎶

Of course it's always better when the bassist is still alive....RIP bro...you were a huge part of everything
Awesome sound!
Un morceau que j'aime beaucoup...
LOVELY!!!!!
The Cure never gets old!
I'm glad that I got to see them back in the late 80s
Like "Bad" by U2 you never get the same version every night. Awesome track
Maravilloso!!! Hypnotic song...
Beau Live.... Génial.....

Thank you !!!!!
i was very close to the stage.
PLanant! merci AMIS§!
@jensmuell Robert Smith was rated in ´78 as one of the best 20 guitar players in England hence how freakin´good he is.
Maravilloso
Einfach nur zum Anhören un zurücklehnen!!!

Yeah damned right...i was there....18 years old.....never forget....memories listen 100...thousand Times Again and again....

wie geil das einfach ist !
Magic!.... I hope we never find the girl....
I never knew The Sandman was in The Cure...
@darkrebel09 yes fantastic version !! Kuss
Why did anybody thumb this down?
PURE STUPIDITY!!!!!
@swerdna12069- 10.17 annoying kitten calling out might be the reason...
No taste in music, no ears 👂or still dead at this time!
People had a different taste and thats ok
They are lost in the forest.
top of their game, best of the best..the forest is a classic..they dont make music like that anymore..
🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
@BlackBembel I'm glad you like it (^.^) Kuss
10:17 that little scream really pissed me off
7 to 9 Robert's lesson...
@thecurepl Its not Jason Cooper. He actually joined in 1995.Its Boris Williams playing on drums. They do look superficially similar.
Sounds completely different
😀🙂🙃
Ive had this as a bootleg forever, nice to finally see the visuals that go with it. Simon's E string is a bit out of tune i have to say...
What about one hundred Years - just like the old days ?
Yeah what about it, what's wrong with it?
Anybody else hear the drums escalate at certain points?
@CarnageVisors let me guess... Robert is god but this would not make your fave if it wasnt for Boris :)
Wish RS still played lead. The new guy is great but he doesn't have the soul of The Cure
RS still plays lead on this song and most of the other songs he's historically played lead on.
Annoying!!
