At least john wardley finally got his woodie at the towers. He always wanted one.
it has the best disability access of any coaster we have ridden in the uk , it scored 5/5 for Disability Access in our vlog on Alton Towers ,it has a dedicated disabled queue line and a lift into the shop when exiting the ride , although if you cannot walk far or are in a wheelchair you have to ride this beast in the back row

My favourite roller coaster in the UK by far, I just love it. I was at Alton today and our last ride of the day was this on row 12, which was amazing!! 🎢🎢

@@kellyscargill It's not a problem ☺️👍 I enjoy doing these! I've got a few in mind, it's just my lack of B-Roll footage for most of them stopping me doing some lol.
I always ride at the end of the day, the queues are lower at that time as everyone tends to go there first thing and it's nice and warmed up by that point!
I loved Wicker Man. It's not an intense ride, but it's damn fun, and a great first time coaster from what I saw.
When I first rode it, the next row had a mum and nipper, who I imagine was probably about 8 to 10 (sorry, I'm crap at guessing ages). Anyway, when we were just about to get on, he was bricking it, hugging his mum, and she was giving him words of encouragement.
After the ride, he was grinning ear to ear, and wanted to go immediately back on. And on that day, another coaster junkie was born.

I’ve been 1 time before and it was amazing but I only ended up going on 3 rides because i didn’t like rollercoasters at the time😂however I’m going back in 2 weeks and I love any type of ride so I can’t wait🤪

A few days ago, I had a really good back row ride at the end of the day and BLOODY HELL that downwards s bend catches you fucking off guard.

Superb video as expected 👌🏼. Love this coaster, it’s just the full package , something for everyone. It’s also a rare coaster that they couldn’t hide so encouraged people to have a good look and watch the brilliant construction right through .

One of the first people to have gone on this ride and it was my first wooden rollercoaster really well done
This was the first rollercoaster I ever went on. Boy I was not prepared, my friends kept telling me that it wasn’t too bad and it wasn’t that fast either. They lied- it was a lot quicker than I was expecting 😀✋
When we went to Alton towers about a year ago and it was a great trip to it and when we went on wicher man me and my dad got to go to the back and it was a lot better than any other seat
I went to towers back in june for two days and it was shut. I can't wait to get back there and ride it though. It looks amazing from what I saw of it.

I hope to get a night ride in this year with my mum we both love rollercoasters. Me and my older brother took my mum to Alton towers a couple of years ago to help her with her fear of heights we convinced her to go on oblivion and now she likes rollercoasters and went back with my step dad and rode the smiler

It had been raining all day when I went. By the end of the day there was no queue. The displayed time was 5 minutes. I went on 7 times before I had to leave.
Travelling up from Kent on Friday for a visit to Alton Towers, of course it’s forecast to bloody rain all day!

It was better than I thought it would be, but I wouldn’t rush back to it. It’s a box ticker.
Went Alton Towers on Friday and the queue was so short managed to get on it 3 times in half an hour.
To me the preshow is quite scary so much that it makes me not want to ride even though I like the ride itself just a warning for people who get scared very easily
Great video. I think they have relaxed the 2 click rule now. I’ve only managed to get one click this season and not had a problem so far.
I totally agree about riding it at the end of the day. It’s even better after/during rain too. It can be very nippy.

I went in August and I loved it!!
Went on it just under a week after it opened and loved it
And there is a pre ride video in a small room filled with people is you are claustrophobic mention in to the member of staff before you enter the building and they will take you through a door and stick you in the front on the cue and you skip the video
Top tip for anybody who has already done it once!
I enjoyed wickerman but the woodies at Blackpool are better IMO x thanks for sharing - we enjoyed watching x

Well I'm thrilled with this new series on the ScrewyLoops channel, Chris pat ya sen on the back.
So let's break it down, good points are the Wickerman episode is nicely put together beautifully showcasing the coaster featured, it's informative and brilliant for individuals yet to ride the coaster, you talk about features of the ride itself with out giving any spoilers.
Bad points, not mutch really, you've set the bar high for the next episode, however I wouldn't worry about it as the format is well thought out, I don't see this being a issue to be fair for you.
Can't wait for the next episode mate and I'm already looking forward to it, I'm definitely left wanting more.

I love the theming, it's absolutely stunning. But this coaster just hurts me. Maybe I just like my coasters smoother but after riding it quite a few times now, I can take or leave it. This gives me a worse headache than The Smiler now and that's saying something!
we still have al parks in the UK on the Bucketlist ... Alton-Thorp-Blackpool and Draytron...so we will attack te wickerman sometime in the future :)

9 out of 10 you will get the middle I got a back and front in the dark back 3 times in the light and 4 at front once in the middle and I didn’t even ask
I went to alton towers twice since the ride was open and it was always closed. Rip.
Mate me and the misses rode this after a big rain storm we were put on the back row this thing rides as fast as fuck one of the best coasters ive ridden 👍👍👍👍

I’ve been on runaway mine train but I’m nervous to go on wicker man, is it much more intense? (also what do you feel when you go into the tunnel on the mine train, is it GeForce?)
It's just fast, not really that intense 🙂👍 imagine the part where you go into the tunnel on Mine Train but basically the entire ride 🔥 and yeah that's G Force 😁

if you made a before you ride on Thirteen it would really only be for people like me. Terrified of rides and only tried runaway mine train 😂 but seriously is thirteen tame enough for someone who likes the mine train?

Not much airtime!? I’m 11 and it has WAY MORE than anything else I’ve ever ridden.
Had some good pops of airtime on it recently at night! 🙂
@@ScrewyLoops the whole thing is basically on the ISS For Me. If I don’t get stapled, because I am really light and skinny and small airtime is like a rocket launching me to space. I spend more time out of my seat than even queueing for the ride at night!
back row feels faster and more intense and time goes slower but on front it feels like ur on it for less than 20 seconds

Before you ride Wicker Man... Meme your scream
For me, the genius of Wicker Man is that it is equally visually striking from the back or the front of the train. The backstory is that you are going to be sacrificed in groups, so if you sit near the back, you get to watch your fellow victims be engulfed by the wicker man just before you do.

Unfortunately I did not enjoy the wicker man as much as other coasters I found it too violent on my hips which I blame partly on the restraints.
The opening show isn't scary so to say but the tight and cramped rooms gave a minor panic attack due to my claustrophobia.
