Poland has been around since the middle ages with the forming of the first kingdom in 1025 though that was the first modern polish state since they had been under Russian occupation for a couple centuries

@SteinbrecherBack - not entirely true. In pre-Prussian Poland, in Medieval Poland as well as in post-WW1 Poland lived people who considered themselves to be Polish. Even during the centuries of occupation before WW1 they never stopped fighting guerilla wars for their own country and never lost their identity. Even today people can easily draw their descendancy from the medieval and pre-medieval Polish families. To say there's no continuous relationship at all is like saying there's no continuous relationship between German people and the state of Bavaria.

@@badgescops1 The Treaty of Eternal Peace did see Polish land ceded to Russia. It also saw the Russians pay for said land and established what was, and what wasnt Poland in Ukraine. And the treaty had nothing to do with the disbanding of the Commonwealth. Poland ceased to excist after Russia, Austria and Prussia partitioned it in the 3 Partitions of Poland. The so-called Partition Sejm forced the opposition to ratify the first paritioning with help of Russian soldiers in Warsaw. And if you think there werent any armed restistance against this, after the 2nd partition you had the Kościuszko Uprising, where you saw Polish and Russian troops clash. So much for eternal peace. And if you're wondering why the Polish government agreed to this. The king of the Commonwealth was elected, and subject to foreign meddling. The current king at the time was basically nothing more than a puppet of Cathrine the Great of Russia. You're right in 1 thing. Not Russian occupation. Austrian, Prussian AND Russian occupation.

And just because a king, that was a puppet of someone else, and a group of politicians says they're now Russian, with Russian soldiers looking very angry at them at the same time, why does that make the people that resist and try to keep the independence as radicals? Allegedly, during WW1, a British soldier named Henry Tandey saved Hitler’s life in the war. It goes that Hitler was badly wounded in battle and Tandey could’ve killed him but chose not to. Hitler noticed the man in a photograph as the person who spared his life but it’s heavily disputed as Hitler was believed to be on leave around that time and was back home.

The term "Nazi" derives from the name given in German to a party member Nationalsozialist and was coined in response to the German term Sozi (pronounced [ˈzoːtsiː]), an abbreviation of Sozialdemokrat (member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany). So would you consider Nazi to be a democratic far right winger? Im curious.

Hitler couldn't join the German army (he wasn't German, he was deported when he tried) and he didn't get conscripted into the Austro-Hungarian army (he was weak), so he joined the Bavarian army who had a separate military organisation and rules within the Second Reich, he was only able to join this army because of a clerical error. They saw themselves as similar to Austria, they still do actually, so that might have been the source of the error.
Also the reason why he got his first class Iron Cross (which he proudly wore for the rest of his life) was because his bravery was reported by a Bavarian Jewish Lieutenant. Dun dun dun.

He was a pawn in a way bigger game and we will probably never know the extent of what was really going on with him.
