    This makes shooting bts vids much easier I feel with the insta360, being alone not having to worry about composition really. Nice vid keep em coming!

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Exactly! The last thing I want is to lose my focus or get distracted by setting up another camera, composition, settings, and all that. So easy with the X4 especially getting so much more detail in 8K and reformat in editing later. Thanks for watching!

    bro amazing video anyway you can share your settings - wb, aperture, iso
    can you do a tutorial to keyframe exposure

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Keyframe exposure is definitely on my video list! For sure, my settings inside were 4k60fps, iso 800 or 3200, (dual native iso for r5c) shutter speed double the frame rate so locked at 1/125, aperture f/2.8 inside for the most light, f/2.8-4 outside + ND, WB outside at 5600k, inside was like 4500-5200k. Thanks for watching!

    Great video, Gotta love the ciddas. On your drone, try opening up your blades before you start it up. It helps save on wear and tear on the arms from spinning to open them. Every little bits helps to save the things that make us money! So your shoot in D-Log at 30FPS on the drone? I just bought an X4, my X3 disappeared last month and I have a 3D tour on Monday! I bet with Murphys law it will magically appear next week.

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Thanks! Yeah, I normally do but maybe I didn’t do that this time funny enough. Yes, D-Log M in 5.4K 30fps on the Air2s. Dang, bummer! I’m sure you’ll really like the X4 though! Thanks for watching

    Do you have a video on how to do the automated exposure thing?

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      I don't, great idea though! If you edit in Premiere, it's pretty simple though. You just key frame exposure going up or down. Should make a video on it though!

    Awesome Video and great to see how similar our workflow is!
    It's a great camera, but Insta 360 recommends using 5.7k 60fps for low light conditions.

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Thanks! Interesting, I understand switching down resolutions, but I would think higher frame rate would equal higher shutter so poorer low light performance. 🤔 Thanks for watching!

    Great work. For this client or any other client. Is a storyboard shared (or needed), or are there discussions on what to shoot and focus on?

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Thanks! Great question, for "regular" listing videos like this one where it's just a highlight video of the property, no we don't do a storyboard or anything like that. Just before I actually start filming, I walk the property and chat about things we do or don't need to feature in the video, super quick. For our higher end lifestyle videos that are almost like mini short film productions, (I have some BTS video on the channel on those) yes we definitely do more pre-production planning where we have a meeting and go over everything and get a scene/shot list together. Thanks for watching!

  • @PhotoBooth72

    Great video, very helpful, how do you set the WB inside, do you eyeball it or use a grey card or point it at a white area like the ceiling and do a custom balance?

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Thanks so much! Eyeball it and just whatever looks most natural and balanced! Doing that method with a grey card would probably most accurate but speed is a factor for these gigs and setting it manually works great for me. Thanks for watching!

    Love these videos man thank you. It’s always nice seeing other videographers workflows and processes. I have a question about the polarizer. I see a lot of people saying that it’s not wise to use on anything wide. But I don’t see any issues with yours at all. Do you ever have problems where your polarizer negatively impacts your footage? I’m definitely thinking of getting one to cut out some glares and add some saturation to some clips.

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Thanks so much! I don’t think it affect the image whatsoever. I think using a VND is more problematic on ultra wide angle lenses. But ya the CPL works great to cut down glare on floors, deepen blue skies, and add contrast back! Thanks for watching

  • @tenphan0n0

    Thanks for another great video Andrei! Quick question: when you say you're "automating the exposure", do you mean your ISO is set to auto in camera or you're just using keyframes to adjust the exposure while editing? I've tried setting the exposure to auto with a low ISO celling and even lowering the highlights in the edit, but it's definitely noticeable. Keyframing in post definitely seems like it would yield less-jarring results without majorly blowing out the windows.
    Also! Do you ever keyframe the white balance if you're transitioning from two rooms with very different white balances?

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Thanks! Yes, keyframing exposure! For those examples I just have exposure drop on the clip like half a stop or so. Really gradually to not be obvious and seemed to work fine. I never keyframe WB, since I never transition from on room to another in one clip, like I always just take them separately for the most part. Thanks for watching!

    Are the floor plan measurements that you get with Insta360 X4 the same when it comes to accuracy and reliability compared to Matterport's own camera system?

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      I can’t say since I don’t really do matterport tours! But if Matterport approves the IS360 cameras I would imagine so. Thanks for watching!

    Awesome video Andrei, thanks! Using the CPL filter indoors makes you lose 1 stop of light though doesn't it? Also with your voiceover I can hear quite a bit of noise in the audio. Sounds like the gain is turned up too high maybe. Just a heads up!

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Yup! And I was using the VND/CPL combo which knocks 3 stops hahah normally I use a regular CPL for that reason I just didn’t want to keep swapping filters. Yes I know! Thanks for the input on the audio, I recorded it way too low and had to bring it up in post

    Point of clarification. You were only shooting video and you had a 2nd person shooting photos during your 2.5 hour?

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Correct! It was a 5k sqft property so we started about 2.5 hrs before sunset and finished with twilight photos. Better than making two trips. Typically if this was shot during the day, it would take us 1-1.5 hr to get it done. Thanks for watching!

    Great video! Question. Did you disable the lens stabilizer on your RF 15-35mm when shooting with Gimbal? I have the same setup with R5C, I was wondering if you are using high or low stabilization on the camera. Thanks.

    • @daltonadkins3880

    • @AndreiRestrepo

    Andrei what are your thoughts on the Canon RF 14-35mm F4 VS 15-35mm F2.8 for just real estate video and photo?

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Man, I've been wanting to test it out! My take would be if you do more RE photo, or even split 50/50, the f/4 would be great, especially the slightly wider field of view. If you do more video, the f/2.8 is more versatile imo for low light, other video production like talking head videos, etc. It's like having a 35mm 2.8 prime, crazy sharp wide open, great for detail shots, and it's my go to for other video work. You could still totally do that with the f/4, just might not have as much depth and need more light for the f/4. I had the 16-35 f/4 IS for the longest time and those were just some of the things I wanted from the 2.8 that was worth the investment. Thanks for watching!

    Im a photographer and videographer out of Texas. Im just curious what you charge for a house that size? Realtors in my area (San Antonio) are really tight with money so it's hard to commit too much time to a project when the budgets are so low. Anyway, Great video.

      Thanks so much! This was around $1K I believe for photo, video, and a twilight session. I totally get it because I was there too. The biggest thing that helped me was producing the best video work I could when I started my business and branded it as a luxury media business so clients already know what to expect when they work with us. I didn't;t want to build just another RE photo business that charges cheap, you know? I think showing what you want to shoot and connecting with the right clients that believe in quality work is the best move. Thanks for watching!

    • @AndreiRestrepo

      Our real estate photo & video packages ranges from $500-$2000 divided up into tiers based on the size of the property. Not a full day shoot, just a few hours, sometimes faster. We have a full time editor since we do a lot of volume but when I was personally editing it, it would take me maybe a half a day to a full day of editing. Thanks for watching!
