Each Vorinclex multiples counters (or devides them) by two. With 25 clexes on the board, that's 2 to the power of 25.

At 29:09 the 2/1 I believe you're referring to is dauntless bodyguard which is a 2/1 defender with the ETB effect of "when dauntless bodyguard ETB choose target creature" and "sacrifice dauntless bodyguard: chosen creature gains indestructible until end of turn"

Chris, the color combination names changed because instead of Ravnican guilds, they now represent Strixhaven colleges. I only know that Orzhov was changed to Silverquill and Izzet to Prismari.
The combination names haven’t changed, just have a new name in order to fit the new set’s lore. The guild names are still perfectly usable. :u
@@abuelovinagres4411 Besides, Ravnica was released in 2005 giving all the 2 color combinations names. Strixhaven only have half and barely has 2 months. First comes, first serve.

Okay let's do the math. Teferi had 8 loyalty and then used the +1. At the time Echoing equation was used there were 16 scute swarms and 9 others including Vorinclex totaling 25 creatures and thus 25 Vorinclex.
Now each time a counter is placed on a permanent or player it's doubled from Vorinclex. We can represent this now as 8+1*2^25 (8 starting loyalty +1 ability x2 25 times).
This equals 33,554,440 loyalty.
Surprisingly the card did in fact show the total loyalty on Teferi.

You always make the most bonkers decks and this was a delightfully crazy one. You did miss chances to get double counters off Phylath's landfall trigger a few times though. Getting a 8/9 plant for each land drop would be pretty nuts.

at 10:53 you can actually see all the numbers in the window barely lol There were 25 creatures on the field and both were +1 abilities so the total number of counters for each +1 is 33554432

Chris could probably do this again, and check with "Light Up the Night" how many counters do his Planeswalkers have.
The reason it doesn’t crash anymore is because arena used to be 34 bit and they updated it to be 64bit drastically increasing the highest possible value you can have without causing an overflow error

It has to do with strixhaven being a different plane than ravnica. 2 color combinations have always been called ravnica names because they have only been known as those names until now.
It did actually crash in a way. Your vorinclex creatures act like a times 2 multiplier if you "plus 1" a planeswalker the replacement effect would put 2 on it but the next replcement would put 4 on it and so on and so on. Your board in the first game hat 14 doubler if im not mistaken. So your "+1" would generate 1*2^14 counters which is 16384. That is enough to win this game and some more, but not as much as mtg arena is showing. That number looks like an error :D
At min 33 its actually being calculated correctly the 8 doubling effects result in 1*2^8 so 256 counters
He had 25 Vorinclexes at the first time, so it would be 2 to the 25, which equals 33554432 and it was indeed correct.

@@johanhi2 I got the same numbers as you initially. He was covering the number of Scute tokens, that I believe was x14, but only 4 tokens are displayed if you have more than 4 (or something like that)

The reason the game didn’t crash when all the counter were put on it is because 1. The stack is very small and 2. Exponential equations to any computer that has to do math are very simple. It just multiples by 2 a lot of time and that’s it.

When you have copies of Vorinclex: say only one is in play, 2 counters would become 4 counters but if you have 2x Vorinclexes in play, are 2 counters becoming 8 counters?

I'm sure if they do that they would be Just Scute Swarms, but it normally copies the exact thing. (like it should copy the "this will turn back into Vorinclex at the end of the turn" part)

The copies will stay as Scute Swarms. It doesn't copy the "until the end of turn" because the token itself doesn't have anything to turn back into
I don't think big numbers crash the server, usually it's the number of triggers on the stack.

The way is to do this with Kasmina Enigma sage and drop an impossibly fat creature with her -X; and since her abilities are shared to other planeswalkers, why not make multiple?
