That was possibly the best performance in a PBA event since the 90s
Dom deserves Bowler of the year

California Classic Car dom deserves more titles than he has. He is one truly one of the best bowlers in the world. Sure he doesn’t have many titles but his talent is undeniable. Same talent level as Tackett without a doubt. Same with butturff. Next season I also think we will finally seem new people in the spotlight. Sterner about to crush next season.

California Classic Car I agree with that statement. That was one of the best performances I've ever seen. But, if you recall, The USBC Masters in 2014 was a spectacular event. Jason Belmonte was the 5th seed, but he climbed the ladder and played really good games. But nevertheless, this was the best performance by dar.

King James Disagree. Jason is a head case that has trouble keeping cool when the pressure rises. Don’t get me wrong, I love his physical game. One of the purest deliveries ever, but doesn’t mean squat if your best shots are the ones posted on Instagram.

Sometimes Bowling shows how people accept defeat and disappointment in life. Notice how Marshall Kent, EJ Tackett and Jacob Butturff accepted defeat and how they showed sportmanship and respect despite of the disapponting result of their game. Compared to Kris Prather who doesn't even bothered to give eye contact to Dom Barrett after the game. (1:2:46)

You notice how Dom Barrett holds the ball relaxed in two hands before his serve. Contrast that to Prather who cups it. A relaxed hand that isn't cup allows the muscles in your bowling hand to rotate just about 270 degrees to your target line. Now cup your hand and notice that you can hardly achieve 45 degrees. Butturff is an extreme example of a flexible wrist. With a flexible wrist, that comes from relaxed tendons, you can adjust the degree of side roll on the ball on the fly giving it tremendous hooking power. Another one relaxes his bowling hand by cradling it in both hands is Mika Koivuniemi. With a cup or tense bowling hand, you'll be lucky to get through one match much less several, as Barrett had. in this tournament. American bowling instruction don't seem to make a big deal of the importance of a relaxed bowling hand, however from Dom and Mika, it seems the Europeans do. I discovered this secret by the way from an American bowler's instructional video. He was none other than Norm Duke.

When a no talent lefty can throw the ball like that, the pattern is not hard enough to weed out the shit bowlers. This is the exact reason that bowling will never be an Olympic sport or considered a real sport by anyone. When an average guy in the audience can step in and do what the pros can do (by accident), things need to change. Too bad that handicap has made the "sport" into a snowflake fest. Dom is amazing the guy in the finals is just a horror show.

I thought that Butturff was very gracious in his congratulatory hug, and I would like to see him win more. He reminds me of a left handed Mark Roth in certain ways. However, Marshall Kent, once again was very poor on tv- he makes terrible shots every time I watch a tournament but Marshall Holman did a great job as a commentator.
