he mixes his own music:o I trained with him a couple years ago and when he was sitting around, he would be on his laptop mixing his music. he's a super chill dude!!!
Super cool compilation My favorites here are Caitlin Dechelle and Matt Emig. lol steve terada ken Street fighter II Theme and Kim Do using Ryu Voice in his form ha ha This guys are really talented
I mean, I can do a very good kip-up but that's about the flashiest thing I can do. I can sort of do a backflip but I end up going over my right shoulder a bit and I keep putting my hands down at the very last second
Cheer up! In all the schools I trained, I could beat the &*$# out of all the best flippers. It's a matter of focusing on your priorities and what works.
"You may train for a long time, but if you merely move your hands and feet and junp up and down like a puppet, learning karate is not very different from learning a dance." Funakoshi Gichin
wow, I just typed in the times (like this: 2:01 ) and TH-cam translated them into hotlinks, that jump right to the correct spot in the video. how cool is that!
Wow... holy mother of pearl, Kim Do's music is also from Street Fighter, haha. Oh, and it's difficult to know the song you were asking for since you can't actually buy it. I only know from the games and arcade.
Can anyone tell me the names of some or all of the music? 1:08 sounds like the theme from Beverly Hills Cop (?) the other song names I need are at: 0:15, 2:01, 3:12, 4:44, 6:11, 6:55, 7:48, 8:36 thank you!!!
haha someone is obviously a fan of Matt Emig. I do have to admit that the number 2 form on here is one of the sickest I've ever seen. And that's saying a lot because Im old school, I competed 96-99. Good compilation of forms but oviously i noticed there's nothing before 2003
@OldSkoolKarate i agree, the best ive seen thats posted on youtube is chat from the 94 BOA. that beats any trick lol, just my opinion =) but he does do a back tuck in that form haha.
LOL! Do you know how Matt Emig found that song?.... I gave it to one of his friends... I know exactly what song it is.... Redd Square feat. Tiff Lacey - In Your Hands...... I thought it would be an awesome song for a musical form... I was right :)
I take it you're a big fan of Matt Emig. lol, to each his own. Matt's great, but I still think Canonizado's routines are technically more difficult and regularly performed cleaner. You left out Rudy Reynon's kama and Kalmon Csoka's sword routines.
As someone who competed in forms in the early to mid 90's before leaving the sport behind, I enjoyed watching Terada and Emig the most. But I don't like watching performers who can't do the basics well, like if Michelle Kwan had just done fantastic jumps but did shit with the rest her routine. Also, artistically, even when done with precision and power, the choreography tends to be repetitive and not to build real tension. Feels more like public masturabation of self, to be honest.Great jumps
Yeah, would have liked to see Jon Valera, Carmichael Simon, Mike Chaturantabut, Jimmie Pham, and, well, if you're going to have three by Emig, you're missing the best work by Kim Do, definitely missing Richie Brandon, whose weapons forms were way beyond anything on here. This was drawn from a very limited and very time constrained time period. Take another look at old Team JPM stuff. Then again, we're all free to make our own. Just, so long as sebricci here knows I disagree with his list.
open forms have just turned into tricking with sloppy traditional martial arts. kim, and steve keep everything clean and technical! tricking is cool, but there needs to be a balance of tricking and traditional martial arts. ja feel?
yea but like also that's what traditional is for. but i understand the balance especially if your ticking isn't on par enough to just basically do kick tricks the whole time and cant trow more than a backside 9
I seriously doubt you've given Steve Terada a real chance. He may not be your favorite, so you probably haven't seen many of his forms, but there should no way in hell he or even Kim do should be that low on the list, i don't know. You should check out some of his forms.
Boo on this list. What about Mike Chat? Jon Valera? Carmichael Simon? Daniel Sterling? Anthony Atkins? Casey Marks? Jon Su? These aren't the best forms, these are the best tricks in forms.
haha clearly the maker of the vid grew up in a totally diff age of sport karate as evident of all the top 10's being people who made their names post 2003 bar a few people. its funny u said all that cuz i was lookin at this vid expecting to see some old school people kim and steve are the only ones.
he mixes his own music:o I trained with him a couple years ago and when he was sitting around, he would be on his laptop mixing his music. he's a super chill dude!!!
watching this is aching my arthritis and aggravating my vertigo.
This is why I give people plenty of space when their favorite jam comes on. ;)
awesome compilation! someone needs to call paramedic, cause matt emig is so sick!
You know... that might be kind of fun. I'm defiantly considering it.
Spetacular. Great martial arts fighters.
the guy taping matt emig was like jizzing in his pants "TRIPLE!!!!!" haha
I love how Matt Emig was on here like four times haha
Super cool compilation My favorites here are Caitlin Dechelle and Matt Emig.
lol steve terada ken Street fighter II Theme and Kim Do using Ryu Voice in his form ha ha
This guys are really talented
2nd is my favorite by far. best of all time
Thanks a lot bro!
Trippin kim do killed it
I like steve cause he uses all his moves in his Dance crew "Quest crew" They are awesome. Won America's best dance Crew season 3
Ive been doing martial arts for 3 years and yet I can't do flips
I've been doing it for 10 and I can't. My school doesn't tend to deal with any tricking sort of stuff
I mean, I can do a very good kip-up but that's about the flashiest thing I can do. I can sort of do a backflip but I end up going over my right shoulder a bit and I keep putting my hands down at the very last second
it just depends on the school you go to lol this is the kind of stuff i do just not at this level
Hi! Does somebody have the Karas of Adrian Ulanoff???
In the Super Grands 97 it was the cleanest Kata I 've seen until that point of my life.
Cheer up! In all the schools I trained, I could beat the &*$# out of all the best flippers. It's a matter of focusing on your priorities and what works.
"You may train for a long time, but if you merely move your hands and feet and junp up and down like a puppet, learning karate is not very different from learning a dance." Funakoshi Gichin
i see steve terada in the background at 8:19 he has that white armband on that he always wears
Whats the music that Steve Terada uses for his kata?
Its called ExtrememMartial Arts everyone. Look it up, its meant for looking cool no traditional values.
Scooter - Nessaja
I have it on one of their cds :-)
wow, I just typed in the times (like this: 2:01 ) and TH-cam translated them into hotlinks, that jump right to the correct spot in the video. how cool is that!

Wow... holy mother of pearl, Kim Do's music is also from Street Fighter, haha. Oh, and it's difficult to know the song you were asking for since you can't actually buy it. I only know from the games and arcade.
MATT EMIG WINS!!!.............FLAWLESS VICTORY
It is from the Street Fighter 2 Soundtrack.
What's Marc c's music called?
Name of the music of the first performance?????? (with steve)
Can anyone tell me the names of some or all of the music?
1:08 sounds like the theme from Beverly Hills Cop (?) the other song names I need are at: 0:15, 2:01, 3:12, 4:44, 6:11, 6:55, 7:48, 8:36
thank you!!!
1:50 name of the music of kimdo??
haha someone is obviously a fan of Matt Emig. I do have to admit that the number 2 form on here is one of the sickest I've ever seen. And that's saying a lot because Im old school, I competed 96-99. Good compilation of forms but oviously i noticed there's nothing before 2003
but in any case, does anyone know the name of the song that marc canonizado used?
I like Terada and Emig the best.
What's the song in #6? Someone please tell me

@OldSkoolKarate i agree, the best ive seen thats posted on youtube is chat from the 94 BOA. that beats any trick lol, just my opinion =) but he does do a back tuck in that form haha.
kim do that was badass
1:09 can’t tell if I’m watching a Kata or gymnastics routine
DAMN.
LOL! Do you know how Matt Emig found that song?.... I gave it to one of his friends... I know exactly what song it is.... Redd Square feat. Tiff Lacey - In Your Hands...... I thought it would be an awesome song for a musical form... I was right :)
kim do has his own trick
Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de video de Jean Frenette à chacun son avis LOL ;)
all fantastic artists, but where was daniel sterling? ashley beck and chloe bruce? lol :D
I take it you're a big fan of Matt Emig. lol, to each his own. Matt's great, but I still think Canonizado's routines are technically more difficult and regularly performed cleaner. You left out Rudy Reynon's kama and Kalmon Csoka's sword routines.
i think kim do was the best but they all were nuts
why were four of the top ten one guy?
5:50 is it just me or does mat fall and use the splits as a cover up
josh durbin? sage northcutt?
the order is all out of wack. matt emig is so good though. damn
Matt Emig #1 cleanest tricker in the world
As someone who competed in forms in the early to mid 90's before leaving the sport behind, I enjoyed watching Terada and Emig the most.
I think steve terada should have been atleast in the top 3
Street Fighter!!
street dancer
Best of all time? Ever hear of Brice Anthony or William Shelton? Hiro Koda?
seriously i think kimdo should been number 2 with the whole street fighter thing going on, that was some crazy stuff
i think number 2 was the best =x
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssss
Wow no Rudy?
someone's obsessed with Matt Emig. I'm gonna have to say that I liked Kim Do's the best. However it seemed like he used that form for a long time
you should change the name to matt emig's best musical forms lol
No offence but what the hell was with Katlins punches. She just kinda stuck her arms out there, but thats just my opnion
7:54!!!! Holy fffffff!
Cool video, but I think you're a little biased towards Matt Emig. I'm a fan of his too but... I have to agree with dtpark.
It is ken's theme from street fighter
wow
wow someone apparently likes Matt Emig. His forms are good but I'm old school so I just see sloppy hand techniques. He's still good though
Then again, we're all free to make our own. Just, so long as sebricci here knows I disagree with his list.
Start this at the same time as u put Happier by mashmello and its gucci
Like Emig much?
open forms have just turned into tricking with sloppy traditional martial arts. kim, and steve keep everything clean and technical! tricking is cool, but there needs to be a balance of tricking and traditional martial arts. ja feel?
yea but like also that's what traditional is for. but i understand the balance especially if your ticking isn't on par enough to just basically do kick tricks the whole time and cant trow more than a backside 9
i know right
the kim do
HAAADUUUKEN!!!!!!!
focus daniel-san, focus.
I seriously doubt you've given Steve Terada a real chance. He may not be your favorite, so you probably haven't seen many of his forms, but there should no way in hell he or even Kim do should be that low on the list, i don't know. You should check out some of his forms.
@lovemauihawaii i know right :D
I think #2 should've been #1 ... and vice versa
I miss Jean Frenette.....The real one.
wheres MIKE CHAT!!!
& jon valera
Boo on this list. What about Mike Chat? Jon Valera? Carmichael Simon? Daniel Sterling? Anthony Atkins? Casey Marks? Jon Su?
These aren't the best forms, these are the best tricks in forms.
Steve treads 10th really? I thought his form and Kim do we're the cleanest out of everyone.
@FTADanceCru how in the hell was it sloppy
ive seen kim perform that many times but he still shoulda gotten first
come on its his own list not the whole worlds thats what he thinks
Streetfighter 2 soundtrack... Kens Theme..
#7 was good but there was no speed so the techniques looked weak
haha clearly the maker of the vid grew up in a totally diff age of sport karate as evident of all the top 10's being people who made their names post 2003 bar a few people.
its funny u said all that cuz i was lookin at this vid expecting to see some old school people kim and steve are the only ones.
Fatality :D
@OldSkoolKarate lol mike chat? lolol... the others mos def tho heh
Steve terada 10th really? I thought his form and Kim do were the cleanest.
I think it a custom song
