If you give a founder unlimited funds and allow him to lose 13000 cr, he will eventually make some money (reduce his accumulated loss by 2%). That hardly makes him a genius.

I don't believe this liar , I had the unfortunate experience of staying in one of OYOs listed hotel . Experience was horrible, they were a bunch of frauds , amenities and quality were poles apart than ib the listing. He should be jailed without even trial. Loser even looks like a fraud
That js true for every business whether big or small. I had similar experience on MMT app and on Oyo. The difference being Oyo took responsibility and refunded me the money. MMT didn't. If you read the T&C of MMT it says that they are not responsible for accurate listings so what you see might not be what you get.😂

Because being in front desk of the lodge we have to face the costemer because they overbooked and not even give the refund and they even call the customers who didn't make the prepaid and say that they can't confirm the room before they pay for it and didn't even ask the hotel for it. And at least MMT have the options for the lodge owner to give refund but in Oyo they didn't care.
If anyone thinking of booking in oyoo after seeing thise i will say just give up because you will loose money or has to pay extar for the roooms because oyoo didn't care about lodge owners or the costemer only money. And mostly as a person having experience working in front desk I will say you have to pay more money than a walking costemer.
sometimes, it's not just about money. Some people like to have the option of viewing all the hotel options in that area, and select one which has all the basic amenities and cleanliness standard met (which oyo hotels do).
Let me give you some ground reality no new generation owner is interested or comfortable in working with Oyo atleast in Delhi ......secondly they are still active mostly in shady areas which are only meant for hourly basis rooms and there also ppl are preferring Airbnb (based on consumer feedback😂😂) and thirdly I've seen someone in comments pointing out it's all an eye wash for IPO .....they've tried their hand in wedding business with big farm house properties and boutique hotels also but failed miserably as they couldn't understand the dynamics of it
Oyo ia fraud, I booked a hotel at vaishnav devi through Oyo paid in advance and the hotel said they broke ties with Oyo and I had to struggle at the destination finding a new accommodation. It was a big mess and took 2 weeks to get my refund after putting a twitter message to the tourism minister
