1.Dragons Dogma 2 2.POE 2( my wife and I are having a blast with it right now). 3.WarTales(on gamepass and though I'm not a turn-based fanatic, this one grabbed me). Hey C4G I was going to ask if you have heard of or saw the game KHAZAN The First Beserker, it really has me intrigued and comes out first qtr 2025 and was wanting your thoughts or anyone else who has heard of it.
I've really wanted to get it but with the original I'd get super into it for like 10-20 hours and then totally stop playing it for a while. By the time I'd want to jump back in I'd be too lost to even try.
@@jakobstocker5697 Well, I hated the first 5 - 10 hours of DD2. Then I just started wandering the world with pawns -- exploring -- and I've come to absolutely love the experience. I'm not very invested in the story TBH... and I still like the plot and characters of DD1 much more... but I'm having a blast with DD2. In fact I'm trying to pace myself so I don't finish the game too quickly. Currently at 80+ hours
@@kaipacifica1289 yeah I never really got invested in the story but would definitely get sucked into the game once I got a grasp of the quest and started to explore. Maybe I'll finally give 2 a try. I currently only have an ROG Ally atm so will have to see how well it performs on it first
Doing the Ascendency trials (PoE2) as a melee character must be hard as hell ! (since taking damage makes you lost "points") I have not played it, but I watched many streams.
Nice video. The top 5 games released in 2024: 1. POE2 2. DD2 3. Space Marine 2 4. V Rising 5. Helldivers Although one of my favorite gaming experiences in 2024 was playing Ghost of Tsushima.
I will never understand how anyone considers games that have braindead companions even remotely serviceable, especially in action games. I absolutely despise having AI sniff my ass on every step and soak aggro for me. Horrible.
@Skoshtwo exactly the same experience. I played Archolos when it launched , but bcs of personal problems I couldn't get to far into the game. Now I am I am in chapter 5, and I play Drova at the same time. Precious games ♥
I thought it funny when u said u wanted to try PoE 2 with a warr class instead of facerolling with a minion class, since the Warrior Titan class has one of the, if not the strongest Minion build in the game atm :D
I've played like literally everything. I got immortals fenyx rising, valhalla, enshrouded, Elex 2 possibly next on backlog. Can you recommend any open world rpgs with towns and npcs that might be under the radar? I was even considering throne and liberty or some light mmo
For me when it comes to PC games it was V Rising and Satisfactory released from EA this year. Stellar Blade soon behind them if we were to add PS5. Then Wukong.
Honestly biggest broblem in dragons dogma 2 for me was the map design beign just corridors, which made monster fights feel really restricted and exploration disinsentified, i mean i get the design was brobably to make trickster more useful, but if it came at expense of more open world, they should have scrapped that class.
Great list! All those games except Lords of the fallen are in my top 10 :) I also enjoyed Elden Ring Expansion, Hellblade 2, Indiana Jones, Core Keeper, Space Marine 2, Wu Kong and Enshrouded :)
Hihi everyone!:) long time viewer and enjoyer here :) wanted to ask about Dragons Dogma 2 - taking into account battle system, is it same good for mages class or it is worth to play warrior? Because in first game I played as archer and felt like I’m missing a bit of fun due to some mechanics focused for melee
Magic archer is very very fun, and op. I didn't play mage vocations yet, but they seem pretty fun. Switching vocations around is easy, just make sure to update your pawns accordingly to compliment the change.
Dragons Dogma 2 looks and plays amazing, but beneath the surface its a shallow rushed experience. Such a shame too, it could potentially be one of the greastest action RPGs ever
DROVA! And they just released Insane mode and a hardcore mode(different than the iron mode), new monster behavior. And a competition is going on where they will put you as statue in the game. DLC in March as well.
Games I played in 2024 and really liked. Mostly RPGs. They are not 2024 games as such though. * Divinity: Sword of Lies (officially named "Divine Divinity" by a shitty publisher) * Icewind Dale II with the EE community mod * Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear * The Walking Dead: The Final Season [I think I was mostly happy to finish the series and give Clementine some peace.] * Gamedec (not the greatest RPG at all, and I hated the endings, but otherwise an original story/RPG) * I of course like BG3, but I am not finished (I stopped in Act 2).
DD2 was a good game but man at around 40-50 hours I was just bored. Then I went into endgame and didn’t realize the twist. Then the endgame shrunked and didn’t let me finish things. New game didn’t scale so I was just like nope I am done until dlc. Lords of the Fallen also disappointing. I should go back after this newest patch.
DD2 was the best for me too this year even thou i would ve loved if it has more enemy verity i played as a great sword too made my boy look like Guts from Berserk. big fan of poe so im playing poe2 as we speak, i played Lords of the fallen this year too after the big patch and all the fixes, i have drova but i still didnt play it, big fan of stalker but still didnt play 2 till i get some more time :D
@@Saved-by-Grace cause some people play games for fun, and the combat being good is enough. Me personally, since im tired of the overrated movie games like God of War or Spiderman, DD2 is amazing
I've commented it on the original Drova video but it would've been an amazing game if it came out, like, 10 years ago when game developers didn't have an irrational fear of letting enemies go into hitstun. Too bad it released now and sucks instead.

Dragon's Dogma 2. If FROMSOFTWARE had developed this game... It would have undoubtedly been GOTY. People would have given it a chance just because it came from the creators of ELDEN RING. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with the developers. It’s just that I’ve noticed how many people don’t understand the game. They don’t even bother to finish it or read anything, not even the title, which is Dragon’s Dogma first and (SPOILERS!!!) Dragon’s Dogma 2 in Unmoored World. I’ve finished the game after 60 hours, saved all the cities, and completed the Closure Gold Trophy ending. It’s incredible. The only thing I hope for now is that they hurry up with the DLC or something similar to Dark Arisen.
Dragons Dogma 2 is simply too... simple, for a sequel that took 10+ years to make. Repetitive enemies that later in the game get 1 shotted by you provide no challenge or fun, lack of truly unique dungeons in the form of cool castle ruins or something, in a FANTASY game, in 2024 is unacceptable. The story missions of the game consisted of you repeatedly running across the map just to talk to npcs. It is a wasted potential.
I hated dragons dogma 2, the story is worse wich is fine, the first game didnt have the best story, but everyone praises the combat and i dont know why, you can equip less skills than the first game, they removed some badass classes like the mystic knight and the assasin and its wasted because most encounters are small recycled enemies like bandits, goblins and lizzards instead of elite enemies like griffons, cyclops. And the worst offender, no hard mode or level scaling, ng+ is incredibly easy because you are so strong and enemies stay at the same level as your first playtrough, even the first time if you like taking your time and do the extrw content you will be overleveled for the new zones and story quests
for me dragon dogma 2 is the biggest waste i have never seen incredible game play incredible word that juste for fighting the same goblin saurien and troll, again and again and a poor quest design and a very poor rewarding exploration he feel very rushed... i really wanna play the game but he feel so boring rn , i will wait and hope capcome put a huge DLC or somme one put a big mod...

Even with its limitations, Dragon's Dogma 2 is easily my favorite of 2024.
Gotta love farming the same 4 mobs for 60h
Did they ever fix the pawn plague thing or can that still ruin games?

Drova, Path of Exile 2, Baldur's gate 3, Elin and Path of Achra (cyberpunk was also freaking great this year)
