Today is May 28, 2023. I’m praying that you have a safe trip. That your vehicle doesn’t break down. I’m praying that you are safe at your new home. Stay safe as you build your house. I pray that this adventure is everything that you want it to be. God bless.

Hi! The apple didn't fall far from the tree and I mean this in a very good way... you were raised & nurtured by great role models! I am envisioning you already in Alaska, you have met great people, your cabin is built, & you are happy! Thanks for taking us along with you on your journey. Much love!❤️🇨🇦
I'm so glad to be here with such an awesome young man. I'm 80 so I'm watch you start out on your dream. I will enjoy your journey. I promise to pray for you everyday.
I so wish you well. For those that didn't do it this way but wish they had, they will get to some extent live it through you. And for those of us that did do it that way but are now older with most of our "adventures" behind us, we get to somewhat live it again. You were so very fortunate to have the parents you had so always be grateful to them. But, not everyone with great parents takes advantage of that advantage. You seem to be headed in the right direction! Kudos to you and keep on keepin' on!!
Ouch, this one hit home! Took me back to when I left home for the first time to do a snow work season, never returned. That was 21 years ago. The adventure and opportunities just kept rolling. Now I find myself on my own property that I built in Tasmania of all places! I'm so stoked to be following on your adventures. Thanks for sharing 🤙
As a mother I had tears in my eyes when you left. Good luck to you and praying for your safety and that God will be the center of your life. Thanks for taking us along on your journey. Look forward to your new adventures.
Your parents did an amazing job. For you to feel thankful for your childhood and appreciating the home you grew up in, and with that foundation having the confidence and bravery to be an adult. Congrats! God bless you and strength you, and seek Him in all you do.
Watching these in reverse orders as I subbed some time ago. Had to chuckle at the suggestion about having a good playlist. As a senior citizen I thought Nahh... then remembered a motorcycle trip to Alaska a few years ago. It was pre-programable phones so I had a device to play music. I loaded it up . Turned out it only recorded about 13 songs. I got so sick of those 13 I don't think I've listened to one of them since. Anxious to follow your winter reports from the cabin.
May 28! That was the exact date I left Australia for London this year. The biggest and scariest decision I’ve ever made, and also the best! Amazing to see someone my age doing the same kinda thing, going out of the comfort zone. All the best brother 🙏
I can see your emotions on your face as you are leaving! The moment of sadness that turns to the future! Great video! Thanks for sharing. Wish I had known half of what you recommended here when I left Illinois in 1989 to come up here.
My husband and I lived in michigan for 40 years. We sold everything we owned and made the BIG MOVE TO ALASKA in August. We are excited to be following you for your BIG Adventure to Alaska! We pray that everything goes smoothly and you make it to Alaska safely with no issues. Best of luck today!
Thanks so much for including us on your journey ! Watched your Mom and Dad on Alone last night. What powerful, strong and determined parents you come from. I have no doubt you will be such a huge success at whatever you put your mind to. Travel safe. Will be praying for you all along the way.
Wishing you lots of luck on the trek to Alaska. Hope you have sat down with your parents who we know build great cabins and have shared plans and techniques. I am sure they have some good ideas for you to get in the dry and warm before the Alaskan winter sets in. Also buy any quantity of prepper type food locally here before you get up there. Stuff like rice, dried stuff, anything that keeps. The prices up there are ridiculously high. Hope you have a good spare tire too and a tire plug repair kit. Looking forward to your videos too as you travel. Last question: Are you taking that cool cat with you?
I made my journey to Alaska 13 years ago from Central NY. Like you I sold what I could and packed up the rest. My wife and myself purchased a cheap school bus, loaded up 35 sled dogs and headed on our way. I have zero regrets and everyday is like a dream come true for us..
5/28/2023. You’re driving to your future. May you have a safe journey to Alaska. I’m totally looking forward to seeing your property. Always keep that dry sense of humor. Stay safe Mick. Stay awesome!❤️
This channel needs to explode. I’ve been fantasizing for years about moving to the mountains of either Wyoming or Montana and living in a small cabin away from society with my dog. My girlfriend and I are planning to move to wyoming in the next two years. You are walking down the path that others dream of. I can’t wait to follow in your footsteps soon with my move to wyoming. Keep up the good work man.
Looking at you driving away from your home to go to your new life in Alaska reminded me of my sadness when leaving my parents after short visits home. It was only a 2 hour drive, but I missed seeing family and childhood friends. Cell phones were not sold for the general population, and I couldn't afford a landline phone, so letters had to do. I would always comfort myself with singing the song, The Impossible Dream. Tears were intermingled with the song, but the words helped me keep my goals in mind. I am a believer, so prayer and knowing God also gave hope and help along my life journey. As I am now a senior woman, I reflect on the good memories and am happy I followed my dream, although different than yours. I have few regrets and enjoyed meeting all the new people and adding friends who have helped me along my pathway. I pray you find many friendships to share and enjoy your exciting adventures that lay ahead. I will be glad to follow your journey each week. God bless you, your sibling(seems like I recall you have one), and your parents.
Go get um young man! Follow your dreams. Keep up the video's I did the same thing in the early 90s and wish I would have stayed there. I will go back again if it is the last thing I do.
I am eagerly anticipating the documentary of your adventure, Mick. I wish you Joy,Peace,Safety, and Success. I am on my own adventure at age 57; making a new life for myself. You have lit a fire under me and inspired me to persevere, despite my fears and uncertainty. God Bless! Safe Travels! 🔥💪🕊🙏
YAY- Here we go! The “HOW” is pretty important! 😁 You do have a lot to accomplish this summer before winter hits. We are rooting for you, praying for you, and looking forward to enjoying your adventure!💙🙏🏽
Wenter is coming sooner then you think be ready for anything and everything and you will be okay ❤️ Iam too old to do the same but i will just let you do it and i will watch you make your home . Thank you for taking us along with you 💞
Been following your parents for a few years, you appear to be the perfect combination of them both. You will do well in life and if you are happy, then you will achieve SUCCESS! Looking forward to all your future posts of work & adventure.
After your first one, I saw your handle and thought "that names looks so familiar". I shared that video and said I hope you do very well with this. You learned an awesome lesson so much earlier in life than too many of us have. After watching this video, I read some of the comments and went back and looked at your handle again and was like "Noooo, it couldn't be..." Doing this at 18yo, you sure are radical and I'm loving it! Very cool, dude...
I am Sooo proud of you! Guy's can learn how a real man your age, should live. Self-sufficient. Go forward, make it. I'm glad we get to share your journey, be careful, but God speed. Praying for you!
Omg you had me blarting at you saying goodbye!😂..I'm a sap honestly lol... Let the journey begin 🚙, have a safe journey and keep us all updated on the long road trip to Alaska! Oh and most importantly..Ring your mum!! She will be worried daft about you,no matter how old, wise, ready, worldly or anything else, you are her baby boy 👌..ok now enjoy yourself Mick..looking forward for the next update 👍
Best wishes on your journey! I am glad to be a part of it early on. The more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war - all the best for the Winter!
At 25 I rode my bicycle from Edmonton, Alberta to Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. 5300 kms (3000 miles) in 53 days. Back then it was a walkman, I had lots of good tapes but I had the wrong batteries at first. Energizer lasted about 24 hrs, Duracell lasted nearly a week, my rechargeable about 6-8 hrs when charged. Slept in tents 6 days of the week, every 7th day we stayed in a hotel. Hardest part for a young man was the mentality of such a foreboding trip, the physical was a distant second. Part way through I figured out how to deal with that, like you said, set goals. One town at a time and one day at a time, enjoy the trip and do not worry about tomorrow or how much/far you have to go/do. You will remember this your entire life and will have great stories to tell.
I see a lot of your Mom and Dad in you. You’re going to do great. Praying for traveling mercy and safety for you. Enjoy the adventure. If ever you need reassurance and comfort, read Psalms 91 and Psalms 121. God Bless You.🙏❤️
So excited for you, wonderful tips (funny too! 😁)! Praying God's traveling mercies over you & looking forward to your next check-in! Thank you for sharing, God's speed! 🙏👏🧡
You have youthful exuberance in your favour. You're lucky to have the skills your parents shared with you. Most of all,,,,,,,you are ready and willing to do this huge thing. Safe travels. Stay safe and keep well on the road. I look forward to travelling with you parts of the way.
Your content great! Your journey is inspiring. Drove to Alaska myself at 24 years of age myself. From Texas to a ferry then through the Yukon. The Mountees warned me of the risk, even so, I nearly died at 2am on a mountain road. My body would have never been found! Back then my spirit was strong, much as yours. Seeing your story kindles my passion for adventure again. You are already a Man and so necessary in this age we live in. God Bless You! Keep your fire lit!
Wow great journey friend! Reminds me of Richard Proenneke who did this same thing at age 51 in the late 60s moving to remote Alaska building his cabin before winter and a lifetime of self sufficient wilderness conservation! Great success!!
You've got this, Mick ... Boondocking on your way to your own Alaskan Adventure! Every day, every road and every one you'll meet are unique. I can see you'll be in a hurry to get set up, just be sure to "soak" a little in the experience and enjoy it. We're rootin' for ya' ... we're all in this together :) Looking forward to anything you share here ... God Bless
Hello Mick. I have been following your mon and dads channels for a long time. I spent 5 1/2 years at ft richardson in the early 70's and fell in love with alaska but my wife didn't share my feelings. I am looking forward to watching you struggle and grow as you build your homestead. Wishing you the best in the future.
Praying for you!! If I remember right, your Mom went on a journey to Alaska after high school too!! Thirst for adventure runs in your blood! Wishing you God's blessings and protection!!! Your parents are so strong to watch their son leave the nest to fly so far away. My son is just 2 so I can't fathom him growing up. Lol!
Good luck!! Remember, the hard days make you a stronger person. You will always learn something about yourself on the hard days. So excited to follow along on your journey!
4,142 miles from my house to Chitina, Alaska and I want to make the move one day myself. Congrats to you for being brave and thanks for documenting everything for the public.
I got all teary at the end! I bet Brooke balled her eyes out! What an exciting emotional time. I like you, young man. I look forward to going on this journey with you. 💗🙏👏👏👏
You know what Sunshine, Do what you love you only live once we only have one short life Go hard and strong I'm defiantly going to love watching you do it.
It's June 1, 2023 and I just found your channel. I hope your trip is going well. Wishing you the very best. Prayers for safety, continued good health and steady progress! 💜🙏
So it’s May 28, you are on the road driving toward Alaska with off grid homesteading in your plans. You are well tutored by your parents, it’s in your DNA! My prayers follow you!
Bravo! For one sec I thought you suddenly remember you left your cam recording on the roadside. Kidding! God bless your journeys and adventures! If you had had Mom and Dad goodbyes and hugs that would have wrecked me. Also prayers for you: great clarity, discernment, peace and joy!
Desire is fine. Realistic contentment is better. Strive to prioritize realistic desire. Many people fail miserably bc they invest more than they should in what they WANT, rather than being grateful and content for what they have
All kids today want to get out and adult. It’s just the economy and late stage capatilism has destroyed our options. Gone are the days of single income houses or cheap land. It’s been bought up and inflated to near unlivable levels.
One thing while it's in my head is get an extra axe handle before you get started. One bad hit will shut you down in the middle of nowhere. Big step, but you seem ready to make it. Thanks for taking us along.Peace from Michigan.
Some would say I have travelled A LOT, I would say more than most for sure. I see a lot of me in you, you seem like me when I was younger. I always remembered what someone told me so many years ago and you already know this..."A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"
Hey kiddo!!!! I’ve been watching your parents on the tube for years. Hard to believe you have graduated & are on to the next phase in your life. Your parents have exposed you to so many different experiences. I’m sure they have taught you life skills that others would love to know. As a parent I’m sure they are super proud. Worried & scared for you…most definitely. As a parent we will always feel that way. Just became a subscriber. Can’t wait to be on this journey with you kiddo. PS…my kiddo is 21 & out on her own but I still worry about her. We reserve that right….we brought you kids into this world…..😂. Joking. Best wishes & looking forward to future videos. ❤. Remember the most important life lesson. Take your time, be smart & safe when working. 17yr ads as. Ff/EMT. You get ticked off or in a hurry & that’s when accidents happen. Be safe kiddo!!! Enjoy the journey.
Mick !!! Congratulations to ya for starting your journey.... As I said before your refreshing & an inspiration !!! Have a safe trip & eagerly waiting for the next video.
Your channel is going to go far!!! You have the best voice!! You are young and charismatic and smart! You are going to blow up and I wish you all the best and can’t wait for you to be monetized and make this dream of yours come true!! I will follow you on this journey cheering you on! And I know your parents are cheering too!! Keep it up kiddo you’re going to do great!
You have 2 very smart influences in your life that I'm sure will see you have what you need to head out... I'm looking forward to seeing your adventures. ✌️ ❤️
Came because I follow your parents. Staying because I enjoy your style of story telling and intelligence. Fortunately for you your followers started off larger and you didn't have to grow like most new TH-camrs. Somewhat like the children of Hollywood stars who easily get into Hollywood because of their parents. Not saying it's a bad thing, it's just a thing. Looking forward to your adventure and the cabin build. Best of luck 💕
truly inspiring… Got let go from a job i put 5 1/2 years in at and gave everything too.. Ive recently had an itch to not work for anyone but myself and really bet on myself. Appreciate your story and just living spontaneously.. Thats truly living.
This adventure you are taking us on is in your genes. So happy you are following your dreams, and praying the lords protection over you Mick. Go and live life your way. Thanks for bringing us along.
I am looking forward to following along on your new endeavor! Your parents are amazing and I am sure that they have instilled greatness in you. Keep The Lord in the center of all that you do!!
When you head out that driveway in life, never look back.
Today is May 28, 2023. I’m praying that you have a safe trip. That your vehicle doesn’t break down. I’m praying that you are safe at your new home. Stay safe as you build your house. I pray that this adventure is everything that you want it to be. God bless.

Had to chuckle at the suggestion about having a good playlist. As a senior citizen I thought Nahh... then remembered a motorcycle trip to Alaska a few years ago. You have your Dad's knack for story telling. Going to be an interesting following....
You know what Sunshine, Do what you love you only live once we only have one short life Go hard and strong I'm defiantly going to love watching you do it.
You started on your journey on my 55th birthday. I’m enjoying the chance to follow along on your quest. Prayers are going up for safe travels.
It's June 1, 2023 and I just found your channel. I hope your trip is going well. Wishing you the very best. Prayers for safety, continued good health and steady progress! 💜🙏
Please stay safe. Just remember that you are loved and have endless support!❤
Many people fail miserably bc they invest more than they should in what they WANT, rather than being grateful and content for what they have
Have safe travel to Alaska! I can't wait to watch all of your new adventures in your world!!! Take care🌞🔨🪓
Best of luck. Most young folks today have no idea or want to get out and start adulting. So courageous!
Oh I don’t have a clue what to do, but I’m figuring it out as I go 😂
@@MickWhipplesometimes knowing what you Don't want is the Best starting point. 😉 Wishing you ALL the adventures and safety!!!
Have a safe and enjoyable journey - we'll be following along with you as you go - Thanks for sharing...
Anxiously awaiting your next post. Can’t wait to see your travels west . Good luck Mick. Your excitement is contagious!
Some would say I have travelled A LOT, I would say more than most for sure. I see a lot of me in you, you seem like me when I was younger. I always remembered what someone told me so many years ago and you already know this..."A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"
Excellent!!! May the good Lord bless your socks off and keep you safe, Mick. I’ll be praying for you all along the way 🙏🏻 🥳
Cheering you on with excitement! Prayers and Joy sent to you😇
Hey kiddo!!!!

Godspeed Mick..You’ve got this, and I hope you’re enjoying the heck out of that playlist out on the open road! Have a great trip.:) 👍🙏🏼🚙
Thank you for sharing your journey... Safe travels... All the best to you with your new endeavors! 😊
truly inspiring… Got let go from a job i put 5 1/2 years in at and gave everything too.. Ive recently had an itch to not work for anyone but myself and really bet on myself. Appreciate your story and just living spontaneously.. Thats truly living.
How exciting! Adventures are the best.
So refreshing to watch your channel! You tell it like it is, what your mind is actually thinking and you say it out loud! Stay strong and be smart!
I’m praying for safe travels and fun adventures God bless you and your journey 🙌🥳👏
