When you mentioned engine tuning, the owner doesn't seem to be aware that the only thing required to run the supercharger is a FCD(fuel cut defender) that gets spliced on the MAP sensor signal to "trick" the ECU that there's no boost and it adjusts fueling using it's 3 O2 sensors signal. The IS200 has a so called "self learning ECU" which is not tunable without going the stand alone route. Even if you put a piggyback the "self learning" ability will override the piggyback in time. I went the DIY route and got mine supercharged a few years ago before companies like Rank One Performance were doing a kit for the IS200. Don't even want to think of all the time I spent doing my research with very little information available at the time 😂
In terms of the gearbox, there is a company in Australia called SQ-Engineering that has a set of gears for the 6th gear of the j160 gearbox in the Lexus that lengthens the 6th gear… I did it on mine, best thing I ever did… It did my mpg wonders and if I want to push hard on top speed, still goes the same speed but instead of being 225km/h at 6500, it is at 6100rpm… So maybe with more power it might go up to 250!!!
Glückwunsch zum Video, Max! @max_gxe10 Endlich hab ich deinen IS mal gesehen und gehört, konnte ja am JDM-Tag leider nicht zur Toyota Collection kommen.
Does anyone know of any supercharger kits available for the 1st generation is 300 or Does this kit work for the 2j as well i just want mine to make 350 or so wheel and its low mileage and maybe when I get 200k I might turbo it until then I just want a little more power
Shouldn't forget that this is in europe where the HP average is at around 150 in most countries...this is not the US were everyone is running some kind of V8 or V6 in their daily commuter car
it's a 2.0L inline 6 motor you ignorant monkey. We didnt have 2jz with manuals. 1g-fe made 154hp on it's own which is decent for 2.0L. Getting it up to 230hp is a massive leap.
The perfect daily in my eyes, that body style is still a head turner.
I agree. I wanted one when I was in high school. I think the body aged really really well.

Nur liebe für den IS 200 und 300. Geiler Umbau
I have those front corner spats on my front bumper too, very rare parts
Ohh good to know. I knew the model and kompressor setup was rare but not the body pieces
Congrats, those are extremely rare to get hold of. If you ever consider selling or have some paperwork about those spats, let me know! Greets
Max
Which front spats are those?
The bumpers different in europe to us the US bumper way bigger then the europe ones that come from safety regulations
I love that intake - would love to install it when I would supercharge my is200 - could you gimme a link or contact to guy who build that intake?
drunk thoughts are kicking in i wanted to see if a 2L could handle a supercharger and here i am. my future is200 isn’t safe 🙏

What's going wrong with your eyeballs guys? Cool car by the way 😎
What a trip they have to have headlight washers wouldn't dirty lights be less apt to blind oncoming traffic
Dirt on the headlight lens scatters the HID light so it makes it more likely to blind oncoming traffic
@@samueltyrrell4329 oh ok

This kit doesnt work with the 2jz
Wo ist das aufgenommen? Sieht nice aus
Did you spray the dash black? that looks class
The dash is painted in 1C6 metallic grey✌
Awesome car
what air filter is needed for it ?
That box uses the stock air filter
Uses the TTE panel air filter, stock air filter is a weird shape
A lot of money to get to an IS300!
If you're looking for supercharged one , originally by the , I'm selling mine right now ......
A supercharger that puts out 75 hp...to make it 220-230 🤭 clean as hell but so fu

The Rank One Performance kit gives option of 4 pulleys for 205-290hp up from 153 from factory (probably less than that after 25 years)
