I didn't buy the movie dolls, but I love their clothes. I bought their clothes and I bought a fur coat for my Ken doll. I only have 9 Ken dolls. I really enjoy what I got. 😊😊😊😊
The two different Ken face sculpts are two different characters in my doll universe so I'm ok with it. Then again, I only bought one of the first guy and one of Ryan.
Re: Kenough Ken vs. the new Perfect Day & Skater Ryan Kens: you’re not alone. I bought two of the Kenough Kens a year ago, assuming they were the only collector dolls with that sculpt. Then Mattel releases the Playline Ryans before they were even shipped! I bought two Perfect Day Ryans for $15 each from Target - a total of $20 less than I paid Mattel for ONE Kenough doll! So yes, I’m p*ssed. And BTW: the “Styled By” Barbie line was for fashion stylists/influencers, while this year’s “Styled By Design” dolls are Barbie designers given creative freedom for their own designs. And the new “Styled By” Maeve Reilly doll is only $35!
I never bought the Kenough Ken, but I'm waiting for my campfire set. At least the two collector Kens have different faces. I only bought the roller skating Ken from the first round, so I'm not too bothered by the repeat outfits.
I was honestly fine with the Ken dolls just being a generic looking Ken doll in the movie outfits. I NEVER wanted the dolls from the movie to look like the actors. I bought the Western Barbie pretty early on, before the movie was in theaters. I sold the doll but kept the outfit to put it on an "actual" Barbie doll. After I saw the movie, I didn't mind the Margot face mold as much but I don't want any more in my collection. Since I didn't buy Beach Ken the first time around, I got the updated one, because I didn't have that face mold in my collection, and we know they'll never use it for anything else like a Fashionista Ken. But, I'm not planning to replace my entire collection with the new face mold.
I can’t find the poll! I DID bought the hoodie Ryan Ken because I thought it was going to be the only way to get the Ryan face sculpt! I am also preordered the campfire set!
I have almost forgotten him. Yes, I ordered him last year, and he is on the way. Hopefully, he would arrive faster. I may unbox him, depending on how horrible the hair gel is on him😅😅
Love the hoodie Ken and am glad I got him. I will not be buying any of the rerelease Kens but would buy the pink jumpsuit if it turns out to be real. As for the skullector - the colors are my aesthetic (orange and yellow) and I actually like the doll but I currently don't feel the need to buy her. I never watched squid games plus I just dropped $125 on Hocus Pocus. You have rubbed off on me and I'm trying to slow my roll with new purchases because I don't HAVE to have every new doll.
The Barbie movie box is boring. Especially since they all the same. I was glad that i opened my President Barbie. I got a discount of half off because her box was damaged. She didn't look that great in it,
