| Masahiro Yanagida (柳田将洋, born 6 July 1992) is a Japanese male volleyball player. He is part of the Japan men's national volleyball team. On club level he plays for Suntory Sunbirds. Starting in 2017 he transferred to Volleyball Bisons Bühl in Germany. As of the 2018 season, Yanagida is now the Captain of the Japanese national men's team.

I think so too. He is a great receiver, good server, good at defense, good at strike. And when coach does the exchange tactic by taking the setter out, he will be their setter. A comprehensive player.

@@ayamgoreng799 trueee, he had his glorious times plus he is still the most loved volleyball player in Japan. He is not underrated, if you really saw the match of Japan they will always rely to him when they are drained mentally. Especially Ishikawa

He doesn’t have as much bounce as the other Japan players like Nishida but the way he arches and snaps his back out like that allows him to have more power

Underrated player in Japan team,,, but he's a well rounded player especially in the backline & when he does a jump serve.. he just got outshined by nishida, ishikawa & fukuzawa... He's just an amazing player 🤩
his not underrated mate, he already shine when world cup 2015 his serve become top 5 in the world , and also 2017 current best time his play , u should watching japan vs slovenia , the reason from vnl 2019 - world cup 2019 his become 2nd team , he got injured on his leg and also that reason he become captain 2018 because he can leading his team while ishikawa slight injured also shimizu etc
@@ayamgoreng799 yes, yes!! aside from his uncontested skills, Yanagida has strong awareness and mental strength inside the court. He's just so great!
His jump serve is amazing. It seems even more powerful than sekita's, and I think he sometimes matches ishikawa

@@Sarah-fs3xf yeah, i also heard that he’s struggling with mental health but then i also saw an interview he did and it said he was just not put in the vnl which japan was using for the olympics as well. he stated that he was surprised and i can’t remember the rest 😅 but then again idk if it’s 100% true or not

Hoenstly I am glad I watched Haikyu. I am a person who somehow doesnt get sports, but the show made me love watching volleyball. It's so nerve wracking. Also the fact that I understand the technical sport terms makes it even more engaging and fun. THANKYOU HAIKYUUUU BOYSSS😭❤

I am sorry but you're wrong about Ishikawa. He won the Spring tournament twice in 2013 and 2014. You can look for that in youtube. But you're right about Nishida.

The thought that Volleyball is an exciting game not comes to my mind, thanks to Japanese team particularly Yanagida, Nishida, Ishikawa and Takahashi. But all most all the team players were good and all cute and young looking.
