Probably the only positive from the open goal fiasco is the young lads. Gotta say robbie halliday comes across as a really good coach & fair play to Andy for helping the boys out .
They finished 15th the season before, had debt, no real stadium.. this year they finished 11th, debt free, players there, ... to call it a fiasco is a reach..

@krismorrice1870 I'm sorry but you don't go all in , giving it the big un then finish 11th and that's seen as acceptable. They failed miserably hence why it folded . No point pretending it was any kind of success. Embarrassing
@Nick-uv7in what did people expect.. instantly win the league with a brand new side.. doesnt work like that..tough league, good established sides, documented everything, good bad and ugly, players given maximum exposure, si got his first taste of management which proved to not be right for him yet...calling it embarrassing is wild..broomhill as a club are in much better position than they were 12 months ago so it's progression and that's not debatable it's fact
@krismorrice1870 yeah the reality is they expected to be challenging for the league and it didn't work out. Si said himself it was tougher that he expected. No shame it trying something and it not working out . My point was it looks terrible they pulled out or got sacked after one season after saying it was a project. Also seen si saying he didn't have enough staff at the club when he had two guys in slane & lyle beside him who in my opinion brought very little to the table . Anyone who thinks it was remotely successful it clueless

From watching the first show of open goal many years ago, i would never have thought have of the stuff thats been produced was possible from si and his clipboard to fulling the hydro On.stage every night for the euros. Ended up running a football team. Stitching up macca and derek at slaters,to signing broadfoot 😂 the list goes on. And probs saved alot a lives threw lockdown that they dont even know or think off, Just a pitty it never worked out at broomhill a think the 2nd season you would have been on fire signed a few talented players and pushed on and the laughter has been there every show. Give the lads the kudos they deserve
