People shouldn't expect to hear Bob sing like he did all thoes years ago, just listen.and appreciate this wonderful singer and poet ,simply he was a one off ,what can I say ,I was driving in N Y heard his voice that says it all ? A big part of my life since that was 1965
Thanks for sharing this remarkable video. Saw him first in 1964 at Forest Hills. Can't wait to catch him at BNH in Gilford, NH. He is definitely a national treasure.

Bob walked out just fine. After the last few years of looking like he struggled with his balance he now looks fine. Makes me think there was some truth to his excuse of dizzy spells interfering with his book signings for Philosophy of the Modern Song.
What's the sense of Bob doing preshow sound checks if the first few lines of the first songs are so quiet you can hear them? Last time I saw his solo show ( not on a multi person tour) same thing. First few lines the band dround him out.
@@bohemianriverband2956 That makes sense, I guess, and I think you know more about this stuff than me. It is a very common occurrence at His Bobness concerts, and I'm often frustrated with this, especially since the first song is often a cover or some type of one-off and, along with his natural marbles-mouth, this makes it very hard to identify the song. Just one of the inconveniences of admiring a genius, I guess. I'll be there when he comes through San Diego (again)!
@@funisnumberone1 Couldn't agree more. Another tell is at 1min8secs where he obviously adusts the mic. He just shows up. Pity the poor sound engineer!!
Hi I’m going next week and I’m curious, did they discourage you from photos/videos at all? I saw him in NYC a few years ago and they were removing people if they took out their phones
@@JoshLooperMusic thank you, that’s great! I just really want to have some photos and clips of him to kind of document seeing him. He’s living, breathing music history and my late dad’s favorite. 😌
Sadly no. I was asked to sit down if I was “just” filming by the people behind me. So I just stopped filming and tried to enjoy the rest of the show seated but then left to walk around lol.
I love Bob's music and his words, but I'm not afraid to say his voice is gone. I remember what my Dad said a long time ago when we were listening to Bob Dylan; "He writes good songs, he can't sing much, but I still like to hear him." I'll never stop listening to Bob Dylan, but I don't enjoy listening to the "now." Getting old sux. 💙
I am going to be brutally honest. As a fan I was very disappointed in the sound. Couldn't make out anything Bob was singing. He hid behind the piano all night. The covered seats I had nobody could make out anything, cause music drowned out his words. Either Bob is oblivious or doesn't really give a crap. He must have good sound people to make these videos seem like it was fabulous. Cause it wasn't. Again Very disappointed. I'll remind myself to stay home next time.
And I LOVE Dylan. Ask my boyfriend he says to me, “your guy” whenever we are listening to something regarding him. So I am not disliking him, I was just highly disappointed in the sound system they had in place for him. Maybe they’ll figure it along th3 way hopefully.
Great that you captured Bob and the band walking on stage. This 83 year old living legend has never sounded better!
Totally agree!

BOB'S VOICE IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT NOW. HAD BEEN PRETTY 'RASPY' EARLY PART OF the 2000's BUT NOW Is CLEAR AS A BELL & SWEET SOUND ONLY. WOW 👍 ♥
I've seen him walk onstage live twice. He is so unassuming I didn't realize he was up there until a minute or two went by,

Bob isnt at the soundchecks: just the band
❤❤❤
What's up with the sound guy? Did they NOT do a sound check? It would be nice to go to a Dylan show and hear the first verse of the first song.
The band obviously soundchecked. The balance is perfect. It's fairly obv that His Bobness didn't sound check. Well spotted.

Saw him Wednesday in Virginia Beach. Was the same. I love Bob, but it was God Awful.
I also couldn’t understand how the previous musicians sounded great, which made me wonder even more why his sound people don’t set him up better.
