In the mid- 70's, when was in high school, Elvin was playing all over in the eastbay of S.F. I remember them on a flatbed truck one time. It was always so exciting to see him.
Put Elvin on salary. Give the gent a contract. That was great! I'm so loving this. One of the all-time best ERKs, and, I believe, my favorite episode so far from Bob Land 2024. Sounds like this band is really starting to cook it up. Thanks for sharing this! And the great camera work.
Happy to see Bob give Elvin not one, but TWO solo breaks of his own. Pretty rare for him to let his own guitarists off the leash like that. Also, did he really just end the song with "Gonna take 'em all down / Like the fuckin' early Roman kings?" Must have had a few sips of Heavens Door whiskey before the show. Good times!
He just repeats the 'like the', sadly, but I really wish it was true and I can hear him doing it. If I ever play this live I might just do it that way 😂
Bobs in good form, in the beanie of all things! I was expecting this lineup to gel as this tour went on but I'm still a little astonished at how all over the place Jim Keltner is. Legend no doubt but these drums are damn janky! They've playing this song every night, not to mention it's just an essential Muddy Waters blues trope he would surely have in his back pocket. 2:40 ? 3:30 ?
@@GregM-ws4hq Yeah, a low slump in Bob's touring bands. Horribly boring guitarists and a drummer that has long lost his pocket... Bob and Tony need to overhaul the whole outfit I say
I heard Bob Dylan at this concert was dead just like he usually is because he doesn’t connect with the audience or any other people. He might be private Pet keep that to your home life and not to concerts or people who love you who are celebrities that might wanna meet with you once in their livesand you didn’t even let my brother meet you and now he’s dead… And he loved you since he was a teenager and he died at 56 years old what is wrong with you? I was invited to this concert, but I didn’t go just because of you not being very friendly or very kind or very open with anybody not just my brother but anybody in life that I heard of.
Sometimes it just feels SO GOOD to have an hat on like this one! 😄
The hat is making me scream! 😂❤ I love him.
GREAT! And now I wanna hear Bob sing 'Fooled around and fell in love'!
'I ain't dead yet... (*makes piano ring*) my bell still rings.'
This is AMAZING.
He will live a long and beautiful life, Bob Dylan and Band thank you Elizabeth ❤️🎹🎩🌹🌹💫💫💞💞💞
Great video. Just a few octogenerians absolutely BRINGING IT!
Two legends at the end of their careers. They sure made a lot folks smile with their musical creativity. They will be sorely missed, for sure.
End of their careers? I sure hope not! I want Bob and Elvin to remain with us for at least two more decades, health allowing!!!
Wtf?
Bob was incredible on this, Elvin too,,,,,the whole friggin band has more soul than the entire internet did today
What a lovely surprise bringing out the great Elvin Bishop
Ohh ya know Bob is always blazing the trail! Elvin sounds good! 🎉💯🎹🎤🎶💞🥰🎸
This is great! I'm shocked at how good Elvin looks and sounds. Still playing a mean slide guitar. Thank you.
Elvin is actually standing
Wow! Two sons of the Midwest playing some funky blues Chicago style
I love to see Elvin Bishop. It always looks to me that he is having more fun than anyone else.
Elvin does have a good time. Seen him 4 times

WElcome Jim Keltner !
Do not forget my cousin Jim Keltner on drums....
Always a blessing 🙏 your cousin 💓, Elizabeth ❤️
@@ElizabethElliott-uz1ht He is a hell of a nice guy too.....

Please,PLEASE show footage from Aug. 4th. I was there and it was great. Thank you
Bob does more talking in the intro than he has done in the previous 100 concerts!
😊
🌹
You are right!!!
Nice to hear
Facts
I saw Bob the next day, I wish Elvin was there.
He sounds amazing!. I'd rethink that stocking cap though
And the blonde wig under it. 😂
@@milkcow Thank you!!. I thought I saw blonde hair under that.
@@lynnleino2096,myeah me too! He’s always full of surprises.
Maybe he lost his wig.
@@fransbuijs808 and dyed his hair blonde? It's to light. That honey blonde he had in Hearts of Fire looked great on him then but now?..... not so sure
I actually was able to recognize a few words!

A talkative Dylan in 2024! What strange, topsy-turvy alternate universe are we living in?
🌷🎼🌟
ETERNO
Is that Jim Keltner on drums?
Good call. Keltner joined Dylan on the Outlaw Festival tour. So Dylan is 83, Keltner is 82 and Bishop is 81. Amazing.
His son-in-law Peter Himmelman is on the other guitar. Nice.
This is great. Paul Butterfield with Dylan. Not (I’m sure) the first time since Newport.
At Newport it was Mike Bloomfield on guitar for PBBB. I think

I have the same exact thoughts.
Jim Gordon would of nailed it
I was thinking the same.
The whole tour is a snooze.

That Early Roman ass helmet he's wearing got me
I wonder if he has a spot for Anthony Blinken in that band? 😂
looks a lot like the one I shot and posted on instagram?
Jim Keltner is playing a completely different song
That's how you have to play with Bob.
Mix-up on the mix? Where's the piano? Loud guitar, OK on solos but not on the rest. Still, I like it.
See ya got yer mn hat on SirBob got one Fer ya with 🌈 s
can't understand a word old bob singin
Neither could the folks at any of his concerts - even 60 years ago.
Bob has a new hat. It makes him look goofy.
How can anyone wear a wool ski hat in August?
faiblard ahahaha

Leonard Cohen aged like fine wine. His later concerts were the epitome of grace and connection.
Just not Bob’s thing, I suppose.
What?
Elvin doesn't understand what Bob wants out of his guitarists .... He doesn't want people who want to stand out. He want you to serve the song.
If only a drunk John Belushi walked on stage …. ;) … yeah I know …. ;) …… you don’t have to type it ;) ……. Belushi is dead 40+ years
wtf
Garbage sound bob
Must be extremely boring to play with Dylan
Chuck Berry performs this theme many better in No Money Down. At the anniversary concert in St.Louis in 1986.
Unfortunately I have to agree. Piano Bob, refusing to play his hits, refusing to let jumbotrons focus on him, grunting ... can understand it.
Is that Jim Keltner on drums ?
Yes it sure is.
