I do think acting in love and being on set so much, it was inevitable for the time they were working together. But, the life of an actress is pretending to be in love with the next person. But, I don’t think they’ll forget the love they forged during filming.

Blanchett & Mara managed to capture both the intense eroticism & grinding despair that characterized the lesbian pulp fiction of the era. Thank God that Patricia Highsmith went out on a limb back in the day & gave the story a happy Sapphic ending.
