Migration has been a blessing and curse for Kerala society for a long time. The pravasi malayalees have left their home to Gulf and Western countries to earn a living due to lack of economic opportunities in Gods own country. this have boosted kerala economy and living standard. Now Kerala is on par with first world countries in HDI index.
on the contrary this migration has caused demographic decline and brain drain in the kerala society. Now Kerala's population began to shrink due these trends. so as a fellow Pravasi from kerala who resides in Ireland. I want to talk about the reasons of this increase in migration among kerala people and measures to tackle it.
