Ski resorts are really hard to rank as people value different things, but it’s an interesting exercise. I like resorts with easy access, short lift lines, good terrain and good snow.

Perhaps you'd like HochJoch, in Austria? It's tucked in a valley in the southwest of the country, bordering eastern Switzerland. If you look around, you can find excellent deals like B&Bs, Air BnBs, or a chalet room with breakfast and a gourmet dinner, at reasonable to cheap prices.
Though I'm Swiss-Canadian, I reccommend that people visit Austria because it is generally much cheaper than Switzerland. Plus, the Austrians are genuinely friendlier to tourists. The Swiss are friendly if you are spending your money; otherwise, it takes a long time to break through their "walls."

St Moritz is good, In March I paid 65 euros for a dorm room to myself at the Youth Hostel and got a discounted lift ticket for 50 Euros, the cheapest I paid anywhere -and the mountain was relatively quiet. St Moritz has nothing on Zermatt.

The people who made this video do not know how to ski. But this was pretty comical. I think they ranked them buy their commission for selling travel. The funniest part is when they admitted Aspen only gets 300 inches of snow.

THE best resort in the world is St Anton Austria. Hands down. And Val d’Isere in France is a close second. This list of top 10 is way off the mark. So many better than some of these in here.

by virtue of using the word "resort" rather than "ski mountain" it is clear from the title this is a marketer's take for non-serious skiers' consideration primarily.

No thanks, we have all that and much more at a fraction of the cost. The only thing that Canada does better is more consistent powder. However on a good day I’d prefer Arlberg or 4 valleys/Verbier for crazy terrain. Also Europe has literally thousands of smaller ski areas, with some real local gems with no crowds, affordable prices and untracked slackcountry if you're in the know.

St Moritz as #1? No way. Classy but skiing not nearly as good as many others in Europe. Trois Vallées better pick. Or Arlberg in Austria. Distinct lack of picks from pow-heavy Utah.

@fitofito1001 While Whistler has great terrain, the long lines, extravagant lift ticket prices + accommodations, along with heavy coastal concrete snow turn it into an overrated experience. Once you ski the BC interior (Revelstoke, Whitewater, Kicking Horse) or the Cottonwood Canyon in Utah (Alta and Snowbird), you won't ever think about dropping another dollar at Whistler.

The highest mountain in Europe is Mt Elrus in Russia, Westoid. It sits to the west of the Ural Mountain Range making it geographically in Europe. Westoids
