Great game so far, about 25 hours in with 2 characters. Definitely made some questionable choices in terms of mechanics but overall I am very much enjoying my time 7/10 (being only a third or a fourth of the way through)
@@dt4236 No interconnected game world, repetitive and poorly balanced boss fights, no Creeds or NPC questlines, literally the same skill tree as in the first game; no map for boss hunts or doors or passages you unlock due to new tools (just run around aimlessly until you find what you need to progress lol); little incentive to explore and look for shinies since pretty much all you get is from hunting Mages anyway, having to grind for gear and crafting materials being esentially the game loop, getting stunned or juggled constantly, ever-present stamina issues even when I leveled it etc etc. It's basically Monster Hunter without anything that made MH good. Uninstalled this game when I reached the named Blood Vampire Mage guy after like 14 1/2 hours, it was just not fun anymore. Definitely not a 7/10 for me. The first game, Death's Gambit: Afterlife, Blasphemous and ofc Hollow Knight all easily blow this dumpster fire of a game out of the water. Such a disappointment.
@@MrSanghelios I agree with all those points but still had a good time playing though it once. I tried starting a second playthrough but couldn’t do it due the issues you brought up, which is a shame because the first one lent itself so well to multiple playthroughs.
@@MrSanghelios Never heard of Death's Gambit till now and was massively disappointed with Salt and Sacrifice for the reasons you described, especially after loving the first game. Gonna check out DG now.
How does your Hallowed set have 151 phys def without any upgrade and you're not wearing the gloves? is there way to choose resistances on level up instead of health or something? Should only have 107 phys def with that set and no gloves no upgrades.
You can use the exact same build as the two-handed sword build but use a great hammer instead as a weapon. And then use the glyph/bane reader necessary for your great hammer's runic art
For the juggernaut the tombtenders Guillotine works wonders as well faster moveset at the cost of just a bit of damage plus the runic art does damage as long as the Enemy touches it like tic damage
You can pretty much win every boss fight and PvP with the fire staff from the first mage fight - flame whip is fast and wipes out other players quickly and for bosses the spinning orb does insane damage if you can get them to walk along through it while it is rolling. Nothing much else needed other then relics that boost mage+inquisitor damage, and the staff from the final level bibliomancer to quickly wipe out mobs
Spells and Heals are tied to weapon arts. So, every build is a one-two tricks pony based on that. No Cleric or Casters like in the previous title, and Bye Bye build variety.
@@juicyjumbler increase your poise points, to stun the mage, a light flickers on they're head, then use hook to crab on them, and inflics tons of damage... on new game plus, you 1 shot all mages, once they are stunned
Very mediocre builds, but this video was posted in May, so it's not like there'd been a lot of time to experiment or theorycraft. The guide doesn't mention any of the genuinely useful info like soft caps, endurance thresholds for rolling, etc. The builds don't even incorporate a second primary weapon. No mention of dex weapons, the single strength weapon they mention is mid-tier, but I guess they did notice the obvious power of the Bibliomancer spells. But if this is a guide, maybe offer suggestions for what new sage players should use *before* facing off against the final mage in the game. Although I highly recommend this game (just keep in mind the emphasis is less on exploring and more on fighting lots of bosses and doing some Monster Hunter-esque gear farming), I would encourage folks to take any of the advice here with a grain of salt.
No Dex build at all ? Damn I regret buying this game.. the first one was such a blast to play too. This one is pure frustration… especially for dex players.
@@epicscarsbro5841 i mean, its a Dex build. I use Level 4 earth armor. Maxed out the Bow, Spear, Blade, and Glaive/daggers for stamina. Whatever left over add to magic/strength. What more you need to know?

What are those questionable mechanics? Played first game but not given this a try yet.

These are some good builds, but you should showcase some glaives and Greatblades.
Please do more build videos about this game. At least a greathammer build. Thank you

Help can someone answer this question. Drowning dagger. It says recover stamina and more situations. What exactly are those situations.
To get maximum performance, beat one of the last mages in the game and you're good to go!
Yeah makes no sense than U are already finished at the game it sucks

How do I find the Temporal Reaper?
From a boss. Check the wiki
why the hollow set armor ? it far from the best defense stat for a heavy armor...
Awesome
Hi there.
can i ask which Build is for which one?
I wish this was on the Xbox.
What classes are these?
So do we not build will for cleric?
i would welcome a magus build, im currently playing the first one with it and it would be cool to see how it does in mid/lategame... 😃

Assassin build please

Bluheart runner Rapier is fantastic on a luck build
I’m building a luck/ assasin build with a whip I’ll Definelty take a look at rapier
Dagger or Half spear if possible
Dammit, I thought these were builds for Elden Ring and got hyped😔
Lmao. Same here, but they have to pay the bills. At least it’s for another good game.
best build is the stun lock build, stun the mage, stab it with knife, and it is dead.. 8 seconds kill on any mage
What dagger and what is the stun method?

This is why you torrent the game before giving them money.

I was like you and.... I bough it on Ps4 instead. I probably gonna buy it again when it gonna be on Steam
But you forgot the most powerful build of all: not buying this game, or at best pirating it, because it is an Epic Game Store exclusive.
Very bad game, first one was 5 times better
Bro wat I agree the first is better but it's not that bad?
I hate it when companies get paid for timed exclusives. That just shows that their passion is money, and not the joy of gaming
