I am really lovin' this video. I am battling Pneumonia so this is the perfect for me. Sitting and doing crafts makes me feel better. Thanks for an activity that won't get me into trouble with my recovery.
Another fabulous watercolor how to. . . The 'one sheet wonder card' is so frugal, and bazingo! you added some additional tips for saving money. Your degree in communications gives you license to be so entertaining as well. I never get tired of watching you work. I just read that you are also a writer - welcome to the club. Do your kiddos know how special you are? Never let the mystique wear off, my mother didn't. . . LOL! Looking forward to the coming videos.
Somehow the reply to your patina suggestions left the screen, but I did get the combos down in an e-mail to my self. And I wanted to thank you! I will give these a go early tomorrow. It is 11 pm here in Deutschland, and I need my beauty sleep.
when I was using a lot of mulberry paper for collage, I got an office file box with hanging files and sorted the papers by colors to make it easier to find things. would work for other kinds of paper as well
AH! Every time i watch one of your videos I want to get the craft supplies out and go crazy! You get me all hyper and excited just by the upbeat-ness. Very cool, ma'am. :)
For those in the US, Joann's has their K&Co scrapbook paper on-line for half price and a coupon for 32 cents shipping with no limits! I don't know how long that sale will last, but it is current today, Sunday, Jan. 12th. I don't see the exact paper Leslie used, but there are very pretty ones in similar colors in the pads avalilable.
Ok Lindsey, you have GOT to stop enabling me. . . Lol! Each time I see one of your videos I want to buy another supply, now I want those stamps and the wood less pencils! I already bought the template from Greensneakers for the envelope and the stationary holder for your video in Dec. You are so talented and I love each thing you create. Thanks for sharing, even at midnight :-)
What a wonderful tutorial, and I have just made up my mind. Very little flowers and fru-fru from here on out. I am now stuck on stamps and paint. I am embarrassed to tell you how many times I have tried to work with watercolors, and paid a lot of money to decide I just didn't have the artist's gift. Now, however, with your techniques and my crazy eye for chic, I am off and running - well maybe not running at 68 and soon to be 69. Yippi Skippi. Thanks oh nymph of the late evening firefly glow! More please. . .
I love watching your videos, you have a video for so many different crafts. I have a question for you. I'm a beginner at using color and watercolor pencils, but I want a good set that I wont outgo. I was looking at caran d'ache supracolor soft aquarelle pencils because they say you can use them dry and wet and there great at both. Please help me because I need both. Looking forward to what you think.
Love this idea. They all look great!! QUESTION: can you please tell me where you bout the templates? I would love to have at least one to play with LOL I've been looking for them, but all I'm finding is PDF files. I want to get the kind that you have. Are the plastic? Acrylic?
I love those fish stamps! Where can I get a set? Thanks for sharing your ideas with us. The simplicity of the design is a welcome relief from all the fru- fru stuff. I like the shabby chic look, but sometimes the things are just over done for my tastes. You are an amazingly talented woman!
So nice !! Can you give the name of your big pad of paper you use and where to bye it on line? If you can tell me where else I can find these enormous pads that would be so nice of you, because usually only find paper pads with 48 pages at most. Thanks
I have just been to their website and I found the papers BUT for an order of 142$ they charge 141 $ for shipping !! Unbelievable right ???? So I pass my turn. On amazon it is the same : the shipping is far too expansive to France (or Panama in 3 weeks). I might find some one in the US who will be able to receive my order and send it back to me (the shipping then is far more affordable) of course I pay for it. Thank you for your fast answer.
Styl'Harmony Décoration I wonder if it is shipping or tarrifs making it so pricey? It would be cheaper for you to come to America, get a hotel room for the night and shop LOL! You could join us for the West Springfield Heirloom show in June!
You know what ?? : this is exactly what I was thinking !! Coming and buying directly in the shop would be much more interesting !! I am just afraid they 'd charge me at the frontier !!
Deirdre Powers sure, thee are many templates out there for whatever size you want! These are Kreatalopes from Greensneakers but there are envelope maker boards too. I have this one and it is 50% off plus they ship outside of the USA if needed: hallmarkscrapbook.com/products/we-r-memory-keepers-envelope-punch-board.html?aff=4 It make a ton of sizes from regular paper.
So, I bought some gelatos, the "good" kind. when I opened them, they were hard, dry, and cracky, lol is that a word?? so when I rub them on paper it just crumbles. are they supposed to be smooth and glidey,( another craft term) :) thanks for all your amazing tutorials, I love them!!!
Lindsay, go and buy those Derwent Inktense W/C pencils...you will use all the other stuff and your kids will too, so go spoil yourself and buy what your heart desires! You deserve it! cheers!
Aww, thanks, I am really liking the Aquatones now though but the 72 inktense blocks are still calling me LOL! (I already have the inktense pencils LOL!)
not to worry Lindsay, let us know when you have done the deed, and what you bought! I got a set of 13 Royal Langen..thingy Aqualon round brushes, not cheap here in Oz but how else is one to create works of beauty without the necessary tools. Interesingly, the only place that sold them online was a face painting artist supply shop! I figured that was a pretty good sign if used on wiggly kids!!

I love that fish stamp. Could you do a partial stamp overlay if you wanted to add the fish scale detail back on top?
How cleaver. I make cards too, but never that fast. Thanks for the coloring tips. Edna

Try what you have before you buy, you could use watercolor markers for example, the look might be different but you will get fab results!
I know you are right, it isn't your fault I overbuy supplies. . . lol, just needed to blame someone other than myself I guess! ;-)
I love how simple these cards are, allowing the images to really be centre stage :) I love the idea of making 11 cards that co-ordinate in a set :)
Thnx for the "speckling" technique, it's way easier that way!
You truly make it all look so simple. Thanks!
Just ordered some stamps! I'll be back for more love there choices & cheap! Great vid! Wish I could find those templates you have! Love them!💜😊👍
Thank you - more great ideas and tips - ones that you don't think of yourself! (Well, I don't!) I guess its midnight all the time for me!!! Julie

it is by K&Company, it might actually be 360 sheets as Lindz Brewer pointed out above. Joanns sells is as does amazon:)
