SONMARG KASHMIR 2024 | THAJIWAS GLACIER IN SONMARG | THAJIWAS GLACIER TREK |

On day 6 of Ladakh bike trip, I have travelled Approx 80 Kms. from Srinagar, Kashmir to Sonmarg. In Sonmarg, we chose to trek to famous Thajiwas glacier. The trek is Approx 3Kms. One can choose pony ride. This can cost you Rs. 300/- (Beware of high price quoted by the ponymen).
Thajiwas glacier has a full snow spread ground all around and a river stream flowing from it catches the eye. One can enjoy the sledge ride in Thajiwas glacier which cost you as low as Rs. 250/- (you need to bargain). My trek was very pleasant full - the weather is moderate cool and the surroundings are full of greenery and water stream.
I belong to Prayagraj (Sangam Nagri of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati river)U.P. I am a bike riding lover and an avid photographer.
