I've used Vibrams for 9 years and discovered the same problem with the toe issue. I use a sewing solution called 'Fray Check'. It's a clear solution that comes in a little dropper bottle at a fabric store, that when dry makes the material fray proof. Now my toes never wear out, now,!

I've ran in vibrams for years, never had any issues at all with durability, in fact my v-runs are now getting close to 3,000km and they still look like new after coming out of the washing machine and there's still at least another 1,ookm on them I reckon.

The video is much appreciated. Durability is an important factor to consider while purchasing. Thankyou for sharing your experience with the different models, much appreciated.

Hello, would you tell me how often do you wash them and are they really smelly, how some other people are saying? Do the socks help with this? Have you wore V Fivefingers with waterproof/resistant socks?

ai guess I should give those trail 2.0 a try at sime point. I have KSO EVOs but have bought them quite recently so we will see how they will deteriorate. Let us know if you get the trail 2 and what you think of them!

I have the V-Trail 2.0 and they're good. But I think the original ones were better.

@@RevRunRegan What were better compared to te 2.0? Also are the better against water than the previous model? I can imagine the wrap around the toes might help?

Actually a lot of the 2.0 is better. The wrapped toes and materials are an upgrade. But I think the sole is too stiff compared to the 1.0 and they fit smaller. But most of all, they need better color options. The grey 1.0s are the best designed shoes on my opinion.

They can't be that durable if he bought 40 plus pairs in 8 years!

He wears them for all uses. I wear each one of mine about eight months a year (too cold and wet in Boston the whole winter) . They last at least one year each.

My addiction does not mean they don't hold up. Also, I run ultramarathons so I run through pairs in training a lot. But they last 500 or so miles in training, which is way more than other shoes.

"months of use" a shoe should at least work for a year.
