Great video! What platform do you recommend to build personal profile? Is My Blue Print a good tool? Please recommend a web based tool so I can share and collaborate with others.
Glad it was helpful! In this video the personal profile I was referring to was the UBC application section that is called the personal profile. They ask a few questions and allow you to briefly describe your extra curricular activities. However, if you do want to build your own personal profile earlier to have for jobs or anything I would say any site that lets you build one would be great or your own website, personally I haven't used an external source other than my resume and Linkedin.
Where and how did you put out your personal projects? Did you just list them in the section where you have to list 5 major extra-curricular or did you just mention them in your essays? also did you link your github or did you just explicitly mention them while telling them about your essays?
I don’t think there is a space to provide a link unless there is extra space that they provide. I would just mention personal projects explicitly in the personal profile essays unless this project was a big one and a huge time commitment then I would put it in extra curriculars as well.
hey, I have filled out my application but all the major banks have blocked the educationplannerbc portal, I am really confused about how to pay when no Visa or MasterCard credit cards are working. how should I pay? do you have any idea regarding this matter? if yes, please help me.
Hey Gaurab! Your videos are great! I'm an international student and just completed my first year of engineering online. I am thinking about transferring to UBC. Do you think you could tell me more about the transferring process?
Hi I'm glad you enjoy the videos! Congrats on finishing your first year! I can try to answer some of your questions if you want to send me message on instagram or twitter, but I don't know much about the transferring process to be honest so I don't know if I'll be of much help.
i just talked with my teacher and she said there is no way to get into ubc without an average above 93 is that true or is she making this shit up because my grade 12 average is 94 and my grade 11 is 85 and that makes me really really nervous
Hi Neeraj! You should apply this year early applications will open around December, and regular applications will open in January. That way you can start University in September 2022!
Hey glad you enjoyed it! I'd say focus on school and learning as much as you can, always ask your teachers for help if you need it since they are more willing to help, and try extra-curricular activities that interest you even though you might be scared of trying them at first like leadership positions, clubs, sports, etc. Those experiences working with people and trying new things let you know how to work with people, public speaking, and you get to know what you like and what you don't like. Hope that helps!
Do I need to submit a personal profile for the course of MS Astronomy in UBC Vanc? It's not mentioned on the website, there's only a statement of interest mentioned.
Hey good question, while you can’t make a bridge or plan a city haha you can always make models or prototypes depending on what you are interested. For example, you can create a 3D model of a bridge and do virtual stress tests, you can make a spaghetti bridge and test how much weight you can hold, or you can make a a city planning model either through different softwares or with styrofoam. Main thing is focus on prototypes.
Hi. This is an important question.... If UBC is not asking for GRE for my course, should I still give it to enhance my profile and increase my chances of getting a scholarship?
I got a quick question. I am a Gr.10 student in Alberta taking math and science IB. Since I am taking Science IB, I am required to take Chem 20 in gr.10. I am not doing great in the course so will this gr.10 mark go on my application?
The last time I checked it said ubc only looks at grade 11 and 12 marks, but maybe double check that on their website. Also Alberta grades gets scaled upwards slightly in ubc applications since BC curriculum is slightly easier than Alberta’s so don’t be discouraged and try your best!
Hi so i recently passed my grade 12th in India(results won’t come until August) and i really am interested for doing bsc computer science at UBC?? Can you please tell when i can apply for admissions? I’m really worried as i saw online that there is no jan intake at ubc this means am i going to destroy a complete year?
The early application for UBC will be open in December this year and regular applications will be open in January I believe. More information will likely be available around September-October on their website. Hope this helps!
Hello Gaurab, I am a pakistani student I am now in my 12th grade and will complete my Intermediate degree in 2022 June or July Kindly guide me when should I apply and also please make a video about fully funded Scholarships 🙏
Hi I would say apply this December for early applications if you can, and if not the regular application open January or February 2022. Canadian grade 12 students end in June as well, but I would send an email to ubc admissions to double check because there might be a different process for international students. And I will try to get that video out for you as well! Hope that helps!
I would say the benefit of honours math would be doing proofs for each question to get a deep understanding of mathematical principles. If you want to have that understanding I would recommend it, but if you’d rather just understand concepts and be able to answer questions without proofs then I’d recommend math100. Lectures still go through proofs but you don’t have to when answering questions.
Extremely helpful, man! Also your voice is very calming
Thank you! Haha I didn’t know my voice is calming that’s good to know.

If it is not mentioned or mandatory I think it is alright just to do the statement of interest and the other required sections specified.
Hi whats the steps to transfer? For transferees?
HI Gaurab, I'm currently interested in civil engineering, any ideas on what a personal project for civil engineering would look like?

Hi. This is an important question.... If UBC is not asking for GRE for my course, should I still give it to enhance my profile and increase my chances of getting a scholarship?
Hi I’m not too sure maybe checking in with the admissions team and emailing them would be helpful for this since it is a specific question.
