How many goals was Girard out there for? Guy was the only minus on the team that had over 10 minutes of TOI. He's good at moving the puck but he's god-awful at defense, and that's Colorado's problem. Georgiev had bailed the Defense out numerous times.
Great win but the Av’s stars are the only thing keeping this team afloat. Av’s are 3rd worst in the NHL in goals against. And It’s because of the goddamn goaltending.

yeah look at it on all situations they second to last. 5v5 theyre 23rd, with the worst goals differential ”above” Xpecred in all situations(~20G)- mostly being 15 GA and then some bad luck for missing 5 GF. 84% all situation team save % worst in the league, 5v5 88% ranks 30. While giving up 2nd least high scoring chances in the league 5v5 and having nearly double that. You cant win with tending like this. It has to be average atleast. The powerplay is a bright spot, but the PK not so much. Your goalie is your best PK man, you cant cover all 5.
Yeah screw the Chokementon Gaylers, Avs are still missing Drouin & Nichuskin to fully fill the top 2 lines. And Colton & Wood also, to round out the top 9 forward group. Gonna be scary explosive when they get healthy.

Here's what happened between the two tonight Makar: 1 SHG +2. Hughes: 1 assist. -3. That assist was after the Canucks were down 2-7 to the Oilers. Hughes can't beat McDavid and the Oilers. why? Makar had 12 more points than hughes in 48 less games played in his career. Do they know how many goals and assists makar would rack up in an extra 48 games?
