Karens don't understand that the saying only applies to tastes, not to behaviors. If someone wants to add peach syrup to their coffee or put chow mein noodles to their pizza, you do it as long as you have the items to sell. The most classic example is the restaurant scene from "Five Easy Pieces" where the waitress was being a jerk about this. If you have bread and a toaster, there is no reason not to provide toast to your customer if they ask for it!
@haraldgriefbacon1373 yea, essentially it's an ESH moment. But the waitress could have nipped it in the bud by calling the manager. Or Nicholson could have done so which actuslly would have been an appropriate action (!)
#2 I was a Hotel Night Auditor with 16 years experience. This was a small Hotel, mine was 300 rooms on 10 floors. We were located 1/4 of a mile from a busy large international airport located in a state capital. I feel for these people. One unfortunate thing in my Hotel was all of us had been assaulted 1-2 times if you worked nights. We had random people walk thru our lobby in the middle of the night. They eventually hired security at night. We had multiple sports teams and every kind of group imagined. Oh, we were also a designated airline crew hotel for four major airlines. That was good for another 50-75 folks every night. I’ll just stop there. Thanks for the memories 👋🏽💋
If I was a guest at a wedding with that behavior going on, I would walk out, taking any gift I might have brought with me. No matter who the couple were, family, acquaintances or whatever.
Story 2: Bridezilla: "I demand refunds for all of us! You shouldn't be treating us like dogs!" What the manager should have said: "We treated you with more respect than you deserve. Also, here's a documented list of damage caused by your guests so far, these costs will be billed to the relevant rooms where possible, and to all involved in relevant or unverifiable instances. This includes a section for hazard pay, which will be divided evenly among all the rooms in your party, to cover the cost of paying our staff extra for the danger you put them in.
Last Story: So true - “dogs ARE better behaved” than most people 🐕 It’s so disturbing that so many people do not seem to know how to act in public nowadays 😮
Story 1: I mean…i blame Op’s POS manager for this… THEY are completely the reason that all this happened. I definitely blame Op though for not saying “…no, do it yourself”. Idk for me, i’d be quitting ngl
Stroy #1: Well.. What did they expected from the family of a woman that comes in on the same day of the party? I might seem heart less but I would have just refused and sent her away. 🤷🏾♂️
Story #1: two things.. 1) Did Karen happen to pay by credit card? If so, charge her card for the stolen tips and the clean-up 2) Post that video of Karen that the manager took online and add this story you posted along with that video. Someone knows that woman and she should have her thievery and horrid behaviour out there in the public eye and get lambasted and called out by people.
Agreed. There are a few things that are far more effective than the court of public opinion. It was how I shattered the facade of the so-called business woman who was a liar and a thief. Naturally, she blamed me and went on a smear campaign for ruining her life. Being that she was too damn dim to realize that she was the root cause of all the problems in her life, she was also too clueless to realize that she had resorted to defamation of character in the form of libel and slander. Talk about zero introspection and accountability.
23:15 Many hotels have damages and cleaning taxes on check-out, is a shame this hotel don't give this bridezilla and guest a well deserved high bill and a permanent ban.
People who trash hotel rooms and leave it for other people to clean up after them are trash. Meanwhile me, I always try my best to clean up after myself, even going as far as wiping up my hair from the shower so it won't clump the drain and still leave a tip and thank you note for the cleaning staff.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. The cleaning staff are real people like the rest of us, and I've read/seen enough stories to know they have a tough job. I do my part by stripping the bed, putting all the dirty towels in a pile, and having all the trash in one bin. In addition to general cleanup, of course. Nothing so in-depth as wiping the windows or anything, just tidying up. Yknow, being a good guest. I may or may not leave a tip (depending on my finances), but I will never leave a disgusting trashed room for them. Karma came back with cleaning staff who picked up something I left behind, and held it for me until I came back to retrieve it. It's all about being a decent person, right?
Managers like the one in story one are the reason that entitled customers continue to do what they do. Absolutely cannot stand managers like that. And then they wonder why they can’t keep employees
Literally, that first pizza place party, there is no f--- way I would put up with that. That woman is likely never coming back anyway, call the cops and get her trespassed because wtf
That shuttle driver deserves all the respect. Too many people is one thing, but having open containers of alcohol? Good on him for setting that boundary. And the cops are superheroes for everything they did in this story! Being good to the shuttle driver, posting a couple officers at the hotel, and doing it all in a calm and professional manner (because I believe we'd have been told otherwise).
With that first story at the pizza party, I’m curious who was driving if everyone was drunk? Did they really put their kids in a car and drive?! I would have put the police on alert to stop them at the end of the block!
Bridezillas like that second story seem to be of the mind that they can commit city-wide arson if necessary and they should be forgiven because they're getting married. Of course, that's also the type of person who, if they're stupid enough afterward to rent from the same hotel, get people who were there passing around "Watch out for her - her guests DESTROYED this place last time they were here."
Besides that... this kind of behavior is a huge red flag for the fiance(e)! Seriously. Would you really want to spend the rest of your LIFE with someone who treats people like this? Are they really THAT good in bed? "Love is blind", amirite?
Story 2: Wow I actually remember you reading this story about 2-3 years ago, that's actually wild I could remember that haha. Great video as always Fluff.
I would've banned all the Karens involved in both stories, and for the hotel Karen, be charged them 5 TIMES as much if the credit cards on file, and with the pizza joint, I hope they put rules in place that there are 10 people PER PARTY, no more, no less, along with NO ALCOHOL during kids' pizza parties. The pizza Karen should've been charged an extra $500 for the last minute shut down of 2/3 of the restaurant! Karens are just disgraceful!
Story 1 Lady, unless that pizzeria had a giant yellow rabbit and kids went 'missing', you can't say JACK about the service. Story 2 Geez. I feel like I read a summary of a bad Rated-R comedy flick. Also, if someone was trashing the breakfast area on purpose, I would have "accidentally" spilled hot coffee on someone's lap. Repeatedly. "Ma'am, you are not dogs. Dogs are more well behaved." THOSE WORDS ARE GOLDEN! 😂
Story 1 and 2: God help these who has to deal with drunken fools during these birthdays and bachelorette/wedding party. And to the employee who has to deal with crazies on a regular, I salute and praise your ability to not go crazy on them.
As bad as this party was in this hotel, as a veteran of 40 years hotel housekeeping, I can tell you I have also worked some really awesome parties as well!
I was in LSU's Tiger Band back in the early 70s. I will always remember the all-night party on the top floor after we won the Orange Bowl. *Almost* all the rooms on the top floor.- the fancy suites - were housing band members who were finally seniors, close to graduation. There was one room with a family in it. I felt so sorry for them - the party took over the entire floor, all rooms open, happy young adults milling around and drinking and having a grand time. The family was just standing in the doorway of their room, staring in disbelief, at like 2am.

Pizza birthday party story: I dearly hope you guys got ALL of her information so as not even to accepts delivery orders from her, let alone rent out your party room and have her banned from the store itself. Bridezilla wedding party vs hotel story: OP, if I were you I would file that police report, photos of EVERY ROOM the wedding party was in and the names of everyone with corporate and have every single one of them placed on a DNR list for the entire chain of hotels, including associated brands. And I hope you charged them all a hefty cleaning/damage fee.

It seems that weddings and funerals both bring out the worst in people. I have stories about both, if you are interested. The wedding story is short, but HOOO-BOOOY, the funeral one ain't!
I work as a delivery person for a dry cleaner. A few years ago we had a bridzilla at one of our hotels asking for the near impossible of us. The next Saturday I talked to the head of house there and he told me the entire party was kicked out that evening. That's why I'm always the nicest I can be when I pick up or deliver, a big smile and a nice word go far when you may have to deal with shit like that later in the day or had to already.
Love the part of the sober mom bringing her kid down to apologize! Clearly she was not amomg 'her own' on this crappy kid sports trip. She prolly won't be letting her son spend any sleepovers at those other kis' houses after seeing how their parents act.
Really hoping that hotel charged every one of those unruly guests for the damage they caused. Gotta hold people accountable or they'll just keep doing it over and over.
Hotel story: Been doing this job for years and the only surprise is that in a property with 130+ rooms, on a day with multiple party groups and 70+ arrivals, they only had a single desk agent and no manager on duty to handle all of these issues.
Nightmare Hotel Story. Next time you have an entitled bridezilla pay for extra security personnel as they might be needed if the whole group also act entitled too.
Damn! Sounds like Chuckie Cheese Pizzeria in Florida! I remember having my daughter’s birthday party there 1 year and no - they didn’t close the entire restaurant just for us! All the kids had a blast though! I remember running into a surgical coworker of mine who noticed me getting a glass of exceptionally low quality wine but I wasn’t drinking it for its taste - the noise level was insane by then and he said “WINE WINE! THIS PLACE SHOULD SERVE SHOTS!” Never before have I so agreed with a statement! But my daughter and all her friends and my son had the time of their lives and that’s what mattered!
Yes YOU promised your son that. It means it is a YOU problem. It is like if I promise my partner one million bucks and then go to the bank and demanding they give me one million. They would laugh like J K Simmons in Spider-Man
To start I am not trying to start and argument. So here it goes. They did admit that they were a push over a few times. And may have said they were a coward too. That doesn’t overshadow the Manager punting out and allowing the start of all the crap. Or the women that interrupted OP’s break wouldn’t even take the bag herself then couldn’t even say thank you or acknowledge OP when she left. And Queen Karen, I guarentee she planned to call the food and service bad regardless if it was the greatest service ever and pizza that made you see god she was gonna complain to try and get it for free or a huge discount and the icing on the cake the horrible woman trying to steal all the tips to quote “get her money back” then threw it at the manager cause she was caught red handed on video. Not to forget drunk parents puking in the bathrooms. Kids destroyed air hockey table and leaving the place a total disaster.
Story 2: What a hurricane formed into that hotel. If I was in the person's shoes, I will agree with DarkFluff and quit on the spot. I cannot fathom all the stress in one night.
Pizza party Karen told OP and the manager exactly who she was and they went ahead anyway. This outcome is on them. PPKsren should never have been allowed in at all or at the very least the police should have been on notice.
As a Wedding Singer of 25 years, mostly at the reception afterwards, I am SO glad that I Never had to deal with a Bridezilla. 🚫 Not my monkey. Not my circus. 🤷 🐾🐺🐾
Honestly, back in 1986 to 1992, I worked in the hospitality industry. Let me tell you this story of the bridezilla from Hell; actually happened at our hotel at least seven times in the years I worked at my hotel. Some memories are pleasant, but most were an absolute crap storm! While working in the industry, I actually thought of making it my career. So glad that I walked away from the hospitality industry!
Me&my husbands been to many hotels together, but never ever behaved like this, rather been sp quiet sp that we didn't disturb anyone else. even on our wedding night . But we live in in a highrise, and i can tell you, that we don't make noise even at home.. it's because we respect others, and their peace&quiet, just like we would want others to respect ours! See this is why i can't understand this ,about the hotel story . Why do you get so drunk, that you act like an animal? It's highly inappropriate and disgusting, especially if it's your wedding.. You should behave and act, like a married person then! When we married each other, i got a little drunk and danced on the tables, but we didn't have wait staff, or any staff there, because it was our own cabin where we married, so i was the one who had to clean out after everything..And don't regret a thing! It was/still is,one of the best days of my life! We remember that day together with so much joy! 2weeks later, i was pregnant, and we had our son bout 8.1/2 months later, because he was born one month to early . I was 19,my husband 21.. Now it's been 22yrs, and we have three kids together.. Never knew i would be blessed so much! I wasn't supposed to have kids even.. oh and i still get the butterflies in my stomach, when looking at him! He's the best that's ever happened to me!!
Story 1 is what happens when employees and managers are spineless and don't stand up for themselves. I'm finding it hard to feel any sympathy for them.
An employee who takes that much abuse is probably in a difficult financial situation. The manager is the one who can throw them out without fearing being fired.
I was once put in in a small "boutique" hotel in downtown San Francisco on business. Cool, great, it was even so convenient to where I had to be early in the morning that I didn't care that EVERY morning the fire alarm went off at 7:32 sharp, followed by an announcement at 7:33 sharp to ignore it. The real problem was that a large group of British schoolkids on a tour was also checked into the hotel. At one point, I was pounding on the (thankfully locked) door between my room and the next to break up a loud 2:30am sing-along; at another, I fell asleep (read: passed out from exhaustion) to the dulcet tones of the kids holding foot races in the hallway after midnight. Gotta love all those witless, uncaring dweebs who think that since they paid for a room, they own the place....
Story 1: If the restaurant had cameras they should have called the police on Karen for theft. If other people left those tips for the wait staff, then taking them is stealing.
I don’t think she actually took the tips though? She saw the manager recording and threw the money at him. So looks like she got caught in her attempted theft and abandoned it.
Story 1: Never allow anyone to put their hands on you without your permission. I would have told the manager that if he agreed to this again I WILL QUIT ON THE SPOT! Story 2: The shuttle bus driver should not have moved that vehicle until every passenger was seat-belted and had no open alcoholic containers. Period. End of story. Even if the police were willing to 'overlook' it the hotel could still fire him for actually doing it.
Story 1: OP you done goofed, you deserved that for capitulating on your break. Story 2: Good on OP for caring for their employees! Got to get some good out of this S*** show.
1st That Karen is STEALING the Money as it is NOT Hers. I would tell her either put it back on the Tables OR she's Going to Jail, No IF'S AND'S Or BUT'S.💩👎.... 2nd one, That bride and Now Hubby should be charged an extra $5000 dollars for Destruction of property & Excessive Cleanup. If I were in charge of these type of venues, I would require a $5000+ deposit for Normal excessive clesnup + put them on Notice for additional charges for ANY Damage, BUT the $5000 would be refunded if there were NO Excesses.🤔😀
Story 1: I don't know what really happened in the aftermath, but I am definitely sure the manager learned their lesson to not allow anyone to throw a party WITHOUT a sizeable reservation fee, and maybe avoid having any impromptu ones at all for any reason. If I were in the manager's place, I would say, "Even if god herself comes down from her throne to throw an impromptu party, it will still be denied." Story 2: Now I am having a hard time believing the last bit. The Bridezilla DIDN'T ask for refunds because her wedding was probably cancelled (on account of the cousin banging the groom)? Wow! And I thought bridezillas are supposed to be unreasonable...
Why the hell were the parties from both stories not kicked out when the chaos began? Hotel guest who yelled at the hotel staff for not dealing with the issue was in the right. The disruptive parties were essentially prioritized over the comfort of the other guests. They should have all been charged with disturbing the peace.
Who the hell doesn't plan for a birthday party weeks in advance? Oh, and then they drink while supervising and driving 6 year olds. Sounds like those guests should get extra charges to their rooms.
As someone who worked in hospitality in university, this is so common its genuinely insane. Thought it was very bad then, now as a parent, truly don't understand the recklessness
Are you sure they're not talking about my cousin's wedding when I was 22, it took place in a huge hotel that had quite a few ballrooms, a huge pool, hot tub and a miniature golf area in the hotel along with a bar. That night was something, people were drunk and some were differently making fools of themselves. There was a room that we could go to after the reception and dance to hang out and the grooms cousin on his dad's side opened a huge bottle of vodka and threw away the lid, he started a huge fight with the groom's uncle (my dad's BIL) and proceeded to crawl over me and my aunt who was sitting down on a nice comfortable couch in the room. The bride and groom were so wasted they had to be wheeled to their room on one of the lauge carts. The groom's father was almost arrested that night. There were a lot of hungover people at breakfast and church that morning
Used to work at a hotel. For sports teams, hockey parents are the absolute worse when it comes to drinking and letting the kids run wild. For weddings the brides side of the family was by far the most entitled Karens. Most grooms were pretty cool.

He didn't. Gauranteed
"Customer is always right!"
"In matter of taste only."
"Your pizza tasted like cardboard!"
"... ... ... ... 😡You are banned!"
@@paul16451 Originally it was only said in marketing meetings without the taste part.
That bridezilla hotel story is one of my favorites. I read it a long time ago when I came across it. Glad to hear it again. 😂😂
🎵Oh no / there goes Tokyo / go go Bridezilla🎵
If I was a guest at a wedding with that behavior going on, I would walk out, taking any gift I might have brought with me. No matter who the couple were, family, acquaintances or whatever.
Story 1: like another comment said, I would’ve quit on the spot the INSTANT the manager allowed for the party
Story 2:
Bridezilla: "I demand refunds for all of us! You shouldn't be treating us like dogs!"
What the manager should have said: "We treated you with more respect than you deserve.
Cultural narcissism is a cornerstone. You seppos really need to take a good long look at yourselves.
Story 1: I mean…i blame Op’s POS manager for this…
THEY are completely the reason that all this happened.
If so, charge her card for the stolen tips and the clean-up
2) Post that video of Karen that the manager took online and add this story you posted along with that video.
I'm an auditor, at work right now! Have a team here now, and luckily zero issues...
We definitely have these type of issues with wedding parties smdh
23:15 Many hotels have damages and cleaning taxes on check-out, is a shame this hotel don't give this bridezilla and guest a well deserved high bill and a permanent ban.
The manager should be fired and OP should grow a spine.
First story: I would have gotten fed up LOOONG before this story ended and just pulled the fire alarm
Story 2: As entertaining as these can be, they're also really exhausting. I'd be out of juice dealing with these people before it's even PM
Workers too. OP’s lack of a spine certainly didn’t help.
@ yup.
Story 2 - Why would you invite cheating ex’s to a wedding knowing there’s gonna be drinking?
Because they are ghetto trash
"Common sense" is not common at all.

Welcome to Wackyland
"It can happen here"
Population: 345.5 million nuts and a re-elected orange squirrel
Literally, that first pizza place party, there is no f--- way I would put up with that. That woman is likely never coming back anyway, call the cops and get her trespassed because wtf
If your party disturbs the guests, then you should be the one paying for that night for those guests stay.
@@RedT...TheOriginal.NotANumber Love makes you blind as well. Friend Owl's (from Bambi) wisdom kind of applies.
Story 1 - ...I'd have snapped and ended up on the news
24:17 thoughts and prayers to all hotel workers, Christ lol
First story: Call cops for drunken driving before they left.
Story 1
Lady, unless that pizzeria had a giant yellow rabbit and kids went 'missing', you can't say JACK about the service.
Story 2
Geez.
Nice FNaF reference. You win a 🍕 for that. Respect.
@JamesDavy2009 Thanks! ^^
Story 1 and 2: God help these who has to deal with drunken fools during these birthdays and bachelorette/wedding party. And to the employee who has to deal with crazies on a regular, I salute and praise your ability to not go crazy on them.
Story 1: I would've quit the second the manager decided to bend the rules
Id quit 2
I'd play _Two Minutes Notice_ from _Helluva Boss_ on the store radio before quitting.
As bad as this party was in this hotel, as a veteran of 40 years hotel housekeeping, I can tell you I have also worked some really awesome parties as well!
I'd bet all of those parents were expecting the restaurant staff to babysit their goblins.
Couldn't have said it better myself .....
LIKE THE ABSOLUTE COWARD OP WAS
If that happens in story 2. They should be locked up on their own island, forced to grow thier own food.
Pizza story: for anyone unfamiliar with primatology, Karens are not always solitary. They do occasionally run in troops.
2nd story: as soon as I saw the officer upon walking in, I’d have asked: “Let me guess: one of Bridezilla’s wedding party unalived somebody?”
Not you, just in general:
Why is there now such a taboo against saying "killed", "dead", and similar? Old lady here doesn't understand the squeamishness.
@ part of TH-cam guidelines. Don’t like it either
@@RedT...TheOriginal.NotANumber Squeamishness is part of Wackyland's culture from the nonsense of political correctness to denial of the truth if it doesn't fit a narrative.
S1 I was listening while waiting at the busstop. I was PACING. The way I would lose my shit at that lot...
I'm glad I'm no longer in face-to-face customer service.
It seems that weddings and funerals both bring out the worst in people. I have stories about both, if you are interested. The wedding story is short, but HOOO-BOOOY, the funeral one ain't!
I wasn't ready for today's stories. Didn't have my black sheep plush with me at work
Story1: “no good deeds goes unpunished”
Story 2 had me exhausted at the end . I felt like I was there too!!! 😂
How desperate would someone need to be to work in retail? I would probably last maybe 30 minutes and then find myself in jail ...
not wanting to be homeless is a strong motivation
Honestly, no dog (or any other animal) would behave as that Bridzilla party 😂😂😂
I disagree-female spotted hyenas have so much testosterone that they could be the animal kingdom's Karens.
Hotel story: Been doing this job for years and the only surprise is that in a property with 130+ rooms, on a day with multiple party groups and 70+ arrivals, they only had a single desk agent and no manager on duty to handle all of these issues.
In Wackyland, profit is the first priority of a business.
They would laugh like J K Simmons in Spider-Man
Story 1 - I’m sorry to say but OP IS a coward. I would’ve told the lady ‘I’m on break’ and leave.
Story 1: That was one hell of a party.
Stroy 2: That was also one hell of a story. The wedding party did indeed behave like a pack of dogs.
If said dogs had both rabies and canine distemper.
Story 2: What a hurricane formed into that hotel. If I was in the person's shoes, I will agree with DarkFluff and quit on the spot. I cannot fathom all the stress in one night.
I love it when you reread a best of, story two is one of my favorite rereads.
🐾🐺🐾
Story #2: What in The Holiday Inn hell??🤣🤣
Last Story - I'd be loading up the DNR list with everyone who was in that party.
That manager needs to learn that no can be a complete sentence. And Fluff is right when he says dogs behave better.
I’ve heard the hotel one but it’s still shocking.
Nobody called tge police ir someone else? I hope they had taken pictures and took this woman to court. Unreal. Still shaking my head!!!
Story 1: OP you done goofed, you deserved that for capitulating on your break.
Story 2: Good on OP for caring for their employees! Got to get some good out of this S*** show.
That first story infuriated me.
We need more hotel stories
I don't have anywhere near the amount of patience some of these people have. That would have gone so much worse if i worked there
Soooo thankful I don't drink. And the bride said this was fun?
You need make a movie of this. While its not really funny, it can be comical. I have the actors picked out already. Lol
If I were in the manager's place, I would say, "Even if god herself comes down from her throne to throw an impromptu party, it will still be denied."
Story 2: Now I am having a hard time believing the last bit. The Bridezilla DIDN'T ask for refunds because her wedding was probably cancelled (on account of the cousin banging the groom)? Wow! And I thought bridezillas are supposed to be unreasonable...
Story 1, nope press charges!
Why the hell were the parties from both stories not kicked out when the chaos began? Hotel guest who yelled at the hotel staff for not dealing with the issue was in the right. The disruptive parties were essentially prioritized over the comfort of the other guests. They should have all been charged with disturbing the peace.
Thank you❤
Who the hell doesn't plan for a birthday party weeks in advance?
Gotta be honest. If I was the owner. I would either fire that manager or make them pay for the damages.
For OP in the second story. I have the Ocarina of Time. For OP knows the song of healing or can fo the Song of Time in reverse. That might help.
What a thought: make a transformation mask of the entitled Karen and slow down time. The Carnival of Time would get rowdier that year.
1st story: As soon as OP told how demanding the AH woman was being, I knew she was going to try and stiff the business and/or servers.
Used to work at a hotel. For sports teams, hockey parents are the absolute worse when it comes to drinking and letting the kids run wild. For weddings the brides side of the family was by far the most entitled Karens. Most grooms were pretty cool.
as a hotel employee, story 2 hit too close to home and activated my ptsd
That wedding party story was like playing hotel guests from hell bingo.
