This was very helpful. I need to remove the rear dome ceiling light, Well snap it back into place and noticed that it has a black plastic to have the assembly snap onto. This is going to give me good guidance for my Mazda 6. It is a 4 door with a sunroof. Thank you!

I need to remove my headliner because the ceiling light for the rear once you remove it you can't put it back unless you remove the headliner. Why Mazda did it that way is anyone's guess but that's the way it is. Thanks for showing how you did it. Now my only concern is I don't have an estate M6 like you but a saloon. Therefore I don't have a big hatch to remove it from. I guess it makes it more of a challenge which mean more fun!
It should be more easy for you, you have less estate to work around, and If I could guess, it will come out the same way as my one did

Here in UK it's called reading light, (front interior light )
Was there a reason you went to the trouble of taking this liner out?
Mostly cleaning it / getting rid of the dog smell.
