Although I can see what people mean about the face, I really don't understand why everyone thinks the mona lisa set is hideous but all those garish pixelated mosaic sets are objects of beauty - I think they're a total eyesore! 😂

I think you should both build the Mario sets at the same and race each other🤣 it would be a fun stream.
In my Lego store (Perth Australia) I saw quite a few people grabbing the Mona Lisa set. It’s not for me, but maybe it does have a market that we’re not aware of yet 🤷♂️
I think really they should go back to the original style of art sets…or better yet sell DIY art sets that just have the 16x16 technic plates and all the connectors and plates and tiles needed to make the black frames that the art sets had! Then offer sets that are just mixed packs of 1x1 plates or tiles!
I loved the idea of the arts sets but none of the official designs interested me. But I have built several of my own design. One is a MOC using a couple of the official sets. Another is a MOC using only 1x1 round transparent plates against the black of the technic 16x16s. Stacking them 1, 2, 3 and 4 high to get various shades of white and grey! I’m also currently building a lenticular piece using the slope 30s!
So many possibilities with the basic art sets but LEGO seems intent on making them more complicated for some reason be it the Mona Lisa and it’s gold frame or the spider man piece! 🤷

It's insane how beautiful the Santa Post Office box is in the UK! In the US they now have that ugly looking sticker that is terrible for collecting.
Maybe I should start selling my empty boxes to Americans on eBay rather than throwing them in recycling…

some nice releases this month, but you couldn't pay me to own that mona lisa set!
I never seem to have any luck with the gift with purchase stuff, the nearest lego store is nearly 2 hours away so I order online and the 3 times I have I've always had to contact them bout the gift with purchase not being in the box, all they do is give me is insider points.
Yeah, that’s why we go to the store when there’s ones we really want. It’s over an hours drive for us, but I couldn’t cope with the uncertainty!

I didn't queue up, there's no reason to, they never sell out. I arrived about 5 minutes after they opened and the store wasn't particularly busy.
Im sure there are advantages to sharing a hobby with your spouse, but right now im kinda glad I don't... finding space for my sets in the house is hard enough... finding space for two copies of sets would be extremely hard 😂
The big advantage is not being told I'm wasting money on it!
the halloween BAM pieces have been available in my local Lego store here in Madrid since the 1st of September

hi Kevin and anna them sets you've bought look cool look forward too seeing them build and the progress you both get up too, don't put that's wreath anywhere for too be broken or stolen be careful its gonna be fragile set that's one i would say maybe stand it up somewhere or see if you can sit it somewhere be careful, I'm not planning on buying any sets yet but have been bugging myself for a dinosaur set for awhile just haven't found ones i liked, some off the plants ones looked cool i liked the poinsettia one too but haven't got the space too put them i do wonder what's available for harry potter as my mum likes stuff likes that's maybe someone can tell me what's available for the cheaper sets please thanks you keep smiling From Julie
What would i buy with my money? Well that was easy, bugger all! Just possibly the batmobile but it would only remind me that my mother threw my in-box Corgi (or Dinky?) version plus bat boat away when I moved to my own place 40 years ago. No idea what it's worth now!

Sad to distinguish two different types of lego (children and not). Lego is for everyone and not simply for adults. I may have misinterpreted - if so, i apologise.
All LEGO sets have a recommended age on them. I expected Wednesday in particular to be aimed at an older age group.
