As Shenzhen being a melting pot with people from all over China, there are lots of people from different ethnicities, and that is reflected in the parks sometimes that people speaks, dance and play music from their hometown

Hong Kong is more familiar to you because it is more "Westernized" due to its colonial history. However, Hong Kong people share the same blood and culture as mainland Chinese people. Compared with Chinese people in western and northern China, whose bloodlines and cultures are heavily influenced by minor ethnic groups like Mongolians, Hong Kong people are even more authentically Han Chinese (the Han ethnic group is the majority in China physically and culturally).
So, while Hong Kong people are welcome to have different political opinions, those who claim they are not Chinese are just ridiculous and as ignorant as 🤡.

There is a very old castle-like building in Shenzhen called "大鹏所城". After being positioned as an economic special zone, Shenzhen developed from a fish village to a modern metropolis in 40 years. At the same time, Shenzhen has a nickname called "鹏城". 鹏 is a legendary very large bird that can fly thousands of miles at a time. The large red-yellow building you see imitates "鹏". As for the mention of "communism" in the beginning of the video - China has been a communist country only briefly during Mao, and that was decades ago. It's not a communist country anymore, which I thought would be obvious (having lived in a communist country myself), but apparently there's little actual knowledge about communism in the West and people aren't able to recognize what is communism and what isn't. For example, the current West has many elements of communism, and increasingly so.

wow, u r just so courteous toward the city I live now. how nice of u! u don't complain anything in these Shenzhen videos, even u r troubled so much by the highspeed rail, ATM, etc. for the first time visit. I understand how crumbling for a foreign guests when he or she miss a train or something like that, for I once made some mistakes in Rome for the tickets and reservation I subscribed online. I think most people wouldn't mind u say something dissatisfied u just like what u do in other videos for Taiwan or HK or anywhere else.

For everyone else especially those who has been to China, they know Earth is a BIG place. :) Do you really think 1/6 of humanity is being hated for what? I wonder? Too advanced, clean, modern & life is too good? :) I know I was like you stepped off the plane say wait... this can't be real.
As an American I am embarrased to say our comments shows how individualism and self focused we are... until I went to Canada I learned only 3 countries in the world still uses 12 inches vs. 10 cm. , only we call it 31 degree as freezing. The rest of world already left us behind. We USA is NOT the norm vs. the world.

Yes, 15 days is not enough for a China trip, but if you plan it well, you can easily extend it to a month. For example, you spend 15 days in southern China, and then go to Hong Kong or Maco, and then fly or take high speed train to Beijing for another 15 day trip in north China. Going to Hong Kong and Maco is considered as exiting China, and you can come back for a new 15 day visit.
